Pelatihan Budidaya Maggot Black Soldier Fly sebagai Pakan Alternatif dalam Upaya Pengolahan Sampah Organik Rumah Tangga

Maggot adalah agen pengurai materi organik yang memiliki kemampuan mengurai lebih baik dibandingkan dengan organisme lainnya. Maggot memiliki biomassa dengan kandungan protein dan lemak tinggi. Tercatat 600 ton sampah yang diproduksi oleh masyarakat setiap hari di kota Padang. Dari angka tersebut, baru 100 ton yang bisa dikelola menjadi kompos atau didaur ulang, dan sisanya seberat 500 ton sampah tetap harus ditimbun di TPA Air Dingin. Dari 100 ton sampah yang diolah, 65% merupakan sampah organik yang bisa dijadikan kompos dan 35 persen merupakan sampah plastik dan kertas yang bisa didaur ulang. Budidaya maggot merupakan upaya paling tepat yang dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat, disamping mengolah sampah organik juga akan menghasilkan bahan makanan untuk ternak seperti ayam, itik, ikan, dan burung. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan topik “Teori dan Praktek Budidaya Maggot Black Soldier Fly dalam Pengolahan Sampah Organik Rumah Tangga” dilaksanakan berdasarkan kerjasama antara BaSE KMDM dan dosen Universitas Andalas. Praktek budidaya Maggot BSF sangat mudah untuk dilakukan oleh siapa pun. Proses pembudidayaan hanya membutuhkan teknologi sederhana dan biaya murah, namun mampu mengurangi beban sampah bumi. Maggot sebagai produk yang diharapkan bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pakan ternak alternatif di tengah melambungnya harga pakan konvensional, terutama untuk komoditi unggas. Saran untuk kegiatan ini yakni pengadaan penyuluhan dan pendampingan untuk mengolah Maggot menjadi produk turunan, sehingga bisa dikemas sedemikian rupa untuk dipasarkan ke target sasaran yang membutuhkan.

Sosialisasi dan Pelatihan Pengolahan Sampah Organik Menjadi Eco-Enzyme

Waste that is not managed properly can cause the environment to become dirty and cause silting of the river which results in flooding. The amount of waste production is in line with the large number of residents, the higher the population growth rate, the higher and the rate of waste production. Waste management cannot only be done downstream, but also starts from upstream. Many programs have been carried out in waste management, one of which is a waste bank. The waste bank program encourages people to do sorting before depositing inorganic waste in the waste bank. Inorganic waste that can be recycled, such as plastic bottles used for mineral water, can be economically valuable by being put in a tube in a waste bank, while organic waste such as vegetable and fruit residues can be further processed into eco-enzymes. This activity aims to transfer knowledge and technology for processing organic waste into eco-enzymes, so that the community can participate in preserving the earth. The method of activities carried out was counseling and demonstration. This activity achieved the target in accordance with the objectives; this can be seen from the participation and enthusiasm of the community during the activity.

Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Jaringan Komputer dengan Mikrotik di Pondok Pesantren Modern Terpadu Dr. Muhammad Natsir Alahan Panjang Kabupaten Solok

Training of Computer network using Miktrotik at the Integrated Modern Islamic Boarding School of Dr. Muhammad Natsir at Alahan Panjang is one of the solutions to overcome the problem of the effectiveness and efficiency computer user. The training was started by a field survey to laboratory of the information and communication technology (ICT) at the School. In this survey, discussions were held on what problems are very important and get priority to find solutions in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of computer use at the School. The results of the survey agreed that computer network training with Mikrotik would be held in order to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of computer use on it. The second activity was the preparation of computer network training with Mikrotik. Preparation was carried out in the form of discussions with teammates to determine materials and methods that were more efficient and effective in the implementation of computer network training with Mikrotik at the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory. The results of the discussion agreed that the training would be provided in the form of presentations and hands-on practice. The third activity was the implementation of computer network training with mikrotik. This training was provided for 2 days, namely Saturday and Sunday. The first day was done by shared knowledge about the basics of computer networks and Mikrotik. The second day, students did a computer network training with Mikrotik. The fourth activity was the evaluation of computer network training activities with Mikrotik, to evaluate the activities that have been carried out and to obtain suggestions and input for future improvements.

Membangun Nagari Talang Anau melalui Penguatan Kapasitas Aparatur Pemerintahan Nagari

Governance has become an interesting field of study in public administration. The shifting of authority from central government to local government and even to village level becomes a challenge as well as an opportunity for bureaucrats to provide community services. It justifies why understanding of ideal and relevant governance is needed to solve current problems. As a bureaucracy aiming to serve the community, Nagari is expected to be able fulfilling the society’s needs. Based on this condition, this initiative was conducted in Nagari Talang Anau, Kecamatan Gunuang Omeh, 50 Kota Regency, West Sumatera Province to solve the problems of limited understanding of local government employees regarding state administration (government). To achieve this goal, the program began by contacting and making confirmation with Wali Nagari and then followed by training and socialization regarding state administration system (government), public policy formulation in Nagari, and community services. The result indicated that there were several problems in Nagari Talang Anau administration, such as limited access to information and technology sector, lack of programs by Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (LPM) and insufficient human resources. Based on these problems, the authors and the team members suggested that Nagari administration should focus more on the issue of improving the quality of human resources.

Peningkatan Pemahaman Orang Tua dalam Mengidentifikasi Terjadinya Tindakan Kekerasan Seksual Terhadap Anak di Kecamatan Pauh

A sexual violence against children can occur anywhere, either in the family environment (private space) or in the neighborhood, work environment, school and other public spaces. Where the perpetrator is the majority of people closest to the victim, example father, uncle, brother or neighboor. For this reason, an increase in parental understanding in identifying the occurrence of sexual violence against children is needed because it is a serious problem that has a negative impact. The purpose of this service activity was to motivate and encourage parents to have a correct understanding in the management of sexual violence against children. It was held by distributed the information to target home and followed by discussion and consultation virtually. The target audience is parents in the Cupak Tangah sub-district who have children less than 17 years of age. This activity has been the parent’s awareness in the occurrence of acts of sexual violence against children.

The Pemberdayaan Pemuda Tanggap Bencana (PENDAB) dalam Implementasi Panduan Risiko Bencana

Bengkulu is one of the vulnerable disasters areas. Flood is one of disaster that often occurs in the Bengkulu city. The big flood that occurred at the end of 2019 which claimed the lives of 29 people and 13 people were missing. The aim was to increase the capacity of youth in disaster risk management. Activities done through socialization, disaster training, simulation and disaster risk mapping. Socialization done to stakeholders, youth and community leaders. Disaster risk training, the first aid training for youth and making of organization of Youth Responding to Disasters (PENDAB) have done using lecture, discussion, question and answer methods and doing simulation Table Top Exercise (TTX) for disaster management in the neighborhood Association (RT). The training was attended by 15 youths and was conducted in an open field for 2 days while still observing health protocols. This activity has received permission from the Bengkulu Province Covid-19 task force. The results of the training showed that there was an increase in the knowledge and skills of youth about disasters, basic life support (BHD) and first rescue (PP) actions. Youth are expected to apply the knowledge and abilities that have been acquired during the training to provide education about disaster to the community.

Pengolahan Buah Naga menjadi Produk Pangan pada Kelompok Tani Nagari Simpang Sugiran, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota

Red dragon fruit is one of the agricultural commodities in Simpang Sugiran Village. Dragon fruit has many functions and properties for health. Based on monitoring in the field, farmers do not have the knowledge and skills in processing dragon fruit into various processed dragon fruit products to increase their selling value. In addition, the price of dragon fruit and farmer acceptance continues to decline while the number of farmers cultivating is increasing. The purpose of this activity was to increase community knowledge and skills in processing dragon fruit, and business management to increase the added value of dragon fruit cultivation. The results of community service activities indicated that the diversification of dragon fruit processing is one of the most effective ways to increase community income in the Simpang Sugiran village. Dragon fruit can be processed into various processed products using simple technology and can be done as a home industry. This community service activity can motivate and encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of the Farmer Group of Simpang Sugiran, Guguak Sub District, Lima Puluh Kota, West Sumatra.

Efektivitas Pemberian Terapi Suportif dalam Menurunkan Ansietas pada Remaja

Mental disorders are behavioral or psychological patterns shown by individuals that cause distress, dysfunction; reduce the quality of life which becomes a psychosocial problem. Psychosocial problems that result in social changes in society can cause mental disorders. The prevalence of adolescents in Indonesia experiencing psychosocial problems is 8.7%. In West Sumatra Province, the population is 5.48 million with a number of teenagers around 511.8 people. Of these, one in five adolescents has psychosocial problems that require adequate and special treatment. The solution to this problem is by providing supportive therapy which aims to help deal with mental health problems that exist in the community. This activity was carried out on February 3, 2021 with a total of 20 teenagers. The results of the evaluation show that there is a change in anxiety in adolescents. Suggestions for the health center are to monitor the results of this education.

Pendampingan Hidroponik 55 untuk Tumbuh Kembang dengan Usaha Produksi Sayur Sehat dan Menjadi Tujuan Eco-Eduwisata di Cupak Tangah, Padang

The advantages of this hydroponic vegetable product are that it is free of chemical pesticides, the taste of vegetables is crunchy and sweet, clean, environmentally friendly, and affordable. However, the public's knowledge and understanding regarding hydroponic vegetables is still very little and not evenly distributed in all circles, so that marketing is only limited to certain groups. This service aims to assist and assist Hydroponics 55 partners in producing healthy vegetables and developing into an Eco-tourism area. This service activity is planned to last for 3 years (2021-2024). With the following activity plans: 1) designing a green-house in agricultural areas, 2) increasing online and offline promotion and education, 3) submitting a proposal for collaboration with restaurants, cafes, hospitals and supermarkets in the city of Padang, 4) developing Hydroponic 55 businesses, in processing healthy food derived from hydroponic vegetables, 5) developing agricultural areas into Eco-tourism areas. Activities that have been carried out this year include making educational posters and promoting hydroponic vegetables and distributing them through social media, conducting FGDs with stakeholders, inviting speakers regarding greenhouse preparation and providing knowledge dissemination related to marketing tricks and eco-tourism concepts and facilitating partners in develop business licenses in processing healthy food products. The results of this activity are in the form of educational and promotional posters, proposals for making green-houses, proposals for developing healthy food processing and proposals for developing eco-tourism areas.

Implementasi Mesin Sangrai pada UKM Penghasil Kacang Kulit Sangrai di Kenagarian Mungo Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota

Mitra dalam kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) Membantu Usaha Berkembang ini adalah usaha kacang Empat Saudara milik Rianto Saputra di Jorong Indobaleh Timur Kenagarian Mungo Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota. Saat ini mitra memiliki permasalahan terutama dalam aspek produksi dan pemasaran. Proses produksi kacang sangrai masih dilakukan secara tradisional menggunakan wajan besi dan pasir dengan membolak-balik kacang menggunakan sendok kayu tanpa sedikitpun inovasi teknologi, sehingga kualitas produk jelek dan kapasitas produksi terbatas. Adapun tujuan dilaksanakannya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memperbaiki kualitas produk dan kapasitas produksi mitra. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut maka metode yang digunakan adalah 1). Diskusi dan pelatihan kewiirausahaan, 2). Pemberian bantuan inovasi teknologi berproduksi berupa mesin sangrai kapasitas 50 kg 3). Pendampingan pemakaian mesin sangrai Dengan selesainya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini maka luaran kegiatan yang dicapai adalah: 1). Artikel ilmiah pada jurnal ber ISSN, 2). Publikasi media cetak/online, 3) Publikasi video youtube. 4). Peningkatan kapasitas produksi dan perbaikan mutu produk.
