In this study, a survey with 4,580 residents in the Yangtze River Middle Reaches Megalopolis, central China, was conducted to assess the perceived importance of local ESs. Then, principal component analysis was used to identify their perceived coincidence (i.e., ES bundles), and an automatic linear model was used to reveal how the perceived ES importance and ES bundles were associated with socioenvironmental factors, including demographics, environmental awareness, and living environment. Our results showed that the provisioning ESs, especially water supply, had relatively higher perceived importance. There was no significant difference in perceived ES importance and ES bundles between experts and ordinary residents; thus, experts may recommend practices that meet the local residents’ wishes in the YRMRM. In addition, we disclosed three bundles of perceived ES (i.e., green environment service bundle, ecological stability service bundle, and grain service bundle), which encompassed ES from different ES categories. Potential tradeoff existed in different ES bundles, mainly due to the divergent preferences of different residents. For example, residents with more bus services near the residence tended to perceive green environment service bundle as more important, but perceive ecological stability service bundle as less important. This study adds important first-hand empirical data to the field of the public preferences of local residents for a region of high economic and ecological importance in China, which could provide more information and scientific basis for socially just and sustainable region environmental planning and management.

Many emerging economies have allocated significant amount of resource for sustainable suburbanization and development initiatives to serve and care for the targeted communities for happier households. The governments, private enterprises, and NGOs have been working together for sustainable suburban socio-economic development. Their sustainability practices and good quality service have helped to achieve the desired development outcomes for a better quality of life for the stakeholders. This paper aims to share the case study of Batu Kawa Suburb (Kuching, Sarawak) and the related lessons from Shaoxing (Zhejiang, China) to understand sustainable suburbanization environment and service for sustainability. Keywords: Sustainable suburban environment; Service. eISSN: 2398-4287© 2021. The risk from environmental cleaners is very high considering the work they do, where their work is always related to cleaning the garbage that is within the Bali Provincial Forestry and Environment Service. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to reveal the health and safety insurance for cleaners in the Bali provincial forestry office and the government 's legal protection on guaranteeing the implementation of occupational health and safety for cleaners at the Bali Provincial Forestry and Environment Service. This research method is empirical legal research. Primary data is obtained through field research, secondary data is obtained from books, laws and regulations. The legal materials obtained are then classified and combined as well as analyzed systematically and presented descriptively. This study concludes that the regulation regarding health insurance for workers in the Bali Provincial Forestry Service is in accordance with the regulations stipulated by Law no. 13 Year 2003.

Service-learning is a form of experiential learning that enables students to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom towards the development of their immediate environment. Service-learning as experiential learning advocates active learning contrary to the passive form of learning associated with the traditional method of teaching and learning in most Nigerian public universities. This study explores the challenges encountered by students in Nigeria public universities during service-learning implementation. Participants: Students and faculty members were interviewed to generate information from their life experiences of service-learning implementation. The data gathered using semi-structured interview questions were transcribed and coded using the NVIVO software to generate themes. Findings showed inadequate time, inadequate knowledge of implementation, lack of funds, lack of co-operation among students during the implementation, inadequate supervision, and a structured guideline for service-learning implementation and logistics as the major challenges associated with adopting service-learning as a form of learning in Nigeria public universities

Edge computing has become a promising solution to overcome the user equipment (UE) constraints such as low computing capacity and limited energy. A key edge computing challenge is providing computing services with low service congestion and low latency, but the computing resources of edge servers were limited. User task randomness and network inhomogeneity brought considerable challenges to limited-resource MEC systems. To solve these problems, the presented paper proposed a blocking- and delay-aware schedule strategy for MEC environment service workflow offloading. First, the workflow was modeled in mobile applications and the buffer queue in servers. Then, the server collaboration area was divided through a collaboration area division method based on clustering. Finally, an improved particle swarm optimization scheduling method was utilized to solve this NP-hard problem. Many simulation results verified the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. This method was superior to existing methods, which effectively reduces the blocking probability and execution delay and ensures the quality of the experience of the user.

Abstract Cloud computing environment provides the information technology service and resources using in the Internet. It offers a variety of services such as IAAS (infrastructure as a service), SAAS (software as a service) and PAAS (platform as a service). The scenario of cloud computing environment mainly refers to both the cloud environment service provider and the cloud environment service user. Cloud environment service provider provides cloud environment resources and services to the cloud environment service provider. The cloud environment service provider should use its resources efficiently to make a profit, but the cloud environment challenging task for them is to maximize cloud environment resources. This article describes the energy saving approach by optimizing the use of hosts and minimizing the active host using migration techniques.

The Med-waves system has been implemented in the framework of the Mediterranean component (MED MFC) of the Copernicus Marine Environment Service (CMEMS) and generates high-resolution analysis, forecast, and reanalysis wave products for the Mediterranean Sea area. The system which is based on the WAM wave model is operational since 2017 and is continuously upgraded in order to represent better the Mediterranean wave dynamics with a high forecast skill. The purpose of this work is to present a description of the various improvements introduced to the system and their impact on the wave product quality. The validation of the system which is done by comparing the model output against buoys and satellite altimeters measurements shows the product quality changes (improvements) due to the different upgrades of the Med-waves system. Based on this upgraded system, we will also give the detailed characteristics of the new reanalysis wave product which is driven by atmospheric forcing from ECMWF ERA5 and provides hourly wave parameters from 1993.

As one of the district that engage on the agriculture and plantation sector, Nagan Raya needs to be supported the facilities and infrastructure correspondingly, quality of transportation, and appropiate in MSS that mobility of goods and services can run smoothly. Anonymous (2015) had been defining of the planned local activity center ( LAC), regional activity center (RAC), Environment service center ( ESC), and classification of system network road. The purpose of this research are to evaluate the practice MSS of road field in Nagan Raya, to specify MSS of road field based on connectivity indicator between region that accordance with SP in Nagan Raya, and also to evaluate fulfillment Minimum Service Standard of road field based on presentation indicator of road condition level in Nagan Raya. This reasearch conducted with collecting the datas that are Hamlet Neighbour book in Nagan Raya, condition data, and DFAA. The use of connectivity MSS on 2015 in Padang Rubek - Lueng Baro is 91,29 percent, Babussalam – Lueng Baro is 91, 78 percent, and Alue Bilie – Lueng Baro is 90,4 percent. The value of roadcondition by made the survey of road condition with visual method categorized at good (B), and medium (S) with each amount are 90,78 percent, and 9,22 percent. The value of road condition by made the survey of specific road condition categorized at good in the amount is 96, 51 percent, medium in the amount is 1,94 percent, and lightly damaged in the amount is 1,55 percent. The compliance of road field in Nagan Raya by made survey of specific road condition in the amount is 164,10 percent, meanwhile on the survey of road condition in visual method in the amount is 166,67 percent
