As editor Bruce Tidor sets it in the preface of the book, published in the volume of the MIT Essential Knowledge series: ‘Synthesizing specialized subject matter for non-specialists and engaging critical topics through fundamentals, each of these compact volumes offers readers a point of access to complex ideas.’ (Costandi, 2016). In this book of the series Moheb Costandi provides the reader with a celar and coherent picture about neuroplasticity and neurogenesis . Not just at the level of theories and research results, but also regarding various stages of practical application. It is equally applicable for average people in areas of everyday life- adult education, lifelong learning, and mental training, too. Costandi’s book is decidedly good background material for Anders Hansen’s practical book ‘The Real Happy Pill: Power Up Your Brain by Moving Your Body’ (Németh, 2020).

The institution of the Post-Secondary Year - Apprenticeship Class was introduced in Greece in 2013 and after its pilot phase, its application in Vocational High Schools (EPAL) throughout the country was expanded in 2017. After the completion of four years of presence and implementation of the institution, with significant benefits for the apprentices, some factors emerge that make the participation and operation of the trainers involved in the Apprenticeship difficult. The aim of this study is to record, investigate and interpret a) the difficulties trainers encountered in their educational work and b) the necessary supplies they utilized to deal effectively with these difficulties. The sample was fifteen (15) trainers of EPAL who participated in the implementation of the Apprenticeship. The qualitative method was selected for the research, with semi-structured interviews as a tool for data collection and thematic analysis for their analysis. According to the findings of the research, trainers face difficulties in their educational work, mainly in the extensive course material, the low level of knowledge and the indifference of apprentices. The main means they use in the classroom to manage and deal with these difficulties are the very good knowledge of their specialized subject, the extensive educational experience, the application of the principles and practices of Adult Education and their skills. The present study aims to contribute, through the utilization of the research conclusions, to the feedback of education executives and trainers for the functional improvement and enhance the effectiveness of the institution.

This paper investigates the learning needs of students enrolled in an ESP course at the People’s Police University. A qualitative case study research design was employed through in-depth interviews with 20 undergraduate students. The findings show that the students perceived reading and writing as critical English skills needed for their future profession. The need to thoroughly understand the specialized subject matter in both English and Vietnamese was also reported. Also, the students wished to gain access to extra resources to assist their studying of ESP courses. The students experienced difficulties in mastering technical terms and specialization and comprehending online resources in English. Implications are made based on the findings. The study results would serve as a reference for language program managers, course designers, and English language instructors to enhance ESP courses’ quality in Vietnamese universities.

This article explores the specifics of teaching physics in nonphysical specializations. In the areas of non-physical specialization of pedagogical higher education institutions, it is emphasized that the physics program should be radically different from the curriculum of physics, which is a specialized subject. Many other modern educational technologies are based on the teaching of physics for students of non-physical specialties, the organization of the educational process. The main focus in the teaching of physics to students of non-physical specialties is the content of theoretical materials necessary for the formation of scientific thinking among students, the creation of opportunities for independent study of physics.

In this paper, an approach for automating the search for interpretations of terms for a specific domain in explanatory dictionary and on the Internet is proposed. A mathematical model of the explanatory dictionary is developed. It bases on the structure of the dictionary entry. The methodology for setting up an analyzer of a dictionary entry in a dictionary that has not been used before is developed. A methodology for automated search for one-word and multiword terms in electronic dictionaries has been developed. It bases on scanning dictionary entries in search for term using Regular Expressions. The automation of searching on the Internet resource using a browser automation tool Selenium is proposed. Automated analysis of search results in according to subject area have been developed in two methods. If there is a stylistic label in the structure of a dictionary entry, which indicates the area of the polysemantic term using, the results are corrected by filtering out definitions that do not correspond to this subject area. If there is no stylistic label, the search results are filtering out in the way of screening out definitions for occurrence of search terms. The creation of Dictionary bank for storing set-up to search electronic dictionaries is proposed. The program product, which allows search organizing in added and built-in electronic dictionaries and on the Internet resource, was developed. Using the program requires involvement of an expert to correct and verify the results. Working with the program requires the involvement of an expert to correct and verify the results. The effectiveness of the approach is confirmed experimentally. Groups of English, Russian and Ukrainian terms from different subject areas were used in the experiments. Formulas to determine the time spent on searching are proposed to assess the effectiveness of the implementation of the developed methods. The results showed a reduce of the time spent on search in the automated mode in about 5 times compared to the manual one. It is shown that adding an explanatory dictionary of a specialized subject area gives the most certain definition of terms in search process.

Hematology is a highly specialized subject in internal medicine, including complex theoretical knowledge and practical courses, such as Blood Testing. Clinical internship is a challenge that medical students must face, but the theoretical basis for learners , initiatives and teaching methods, quality and other requirements are quite high. The actual clinical teaching of blood diseases are facing great challenges in these areas. On the basis of analyzing the current dilemma faced by the clinical teaching of hematology, this article explores the reform of clinical practice in hematology from the aspects of optimizing content, increasing students 'practical interest, reforming teaching methods, improving teachers' quality, and using online platforms Methods and approaches.
