The authors review the papers delivered at the Third Scientific Conference “Scientometrics, bibliometrics, open data and publications in science” held within the framework of the Sixth World Professional Forum “The Book. Culture. Education. Innovations” (“Crimea–2021”) (June 5–13, 2021, Republic of Crimea, Russian Federation). The Conference key topics discussed at its three sessions were: trends in sci-tech development, scientometric studies of scientific periodicals, as well as case studies and regional research through scientometric tools. The hot topics in Russian scientometrics are specified, including applied studies of bibliometric analysis for assessment of researchers, organizations, countries and journals, as well as of science migration streams, and theoretical development of new indicators of or search for scientometric frontiers. Within the practical part of the conference, The Basics of Bibliometrics crash course was offered to the participants. It comprised essential knowledge, competences and skills of work with science citation databases. The need for the more intensive exchange of knowledge within the Russian emerging scientometrics community to expand competences, to strengthen communication between those assessing and being assessed is substantiated. These would contribute not only scientometrics but the Russian science on the whole.

The greatest challenge of machine learning problems is to select suitable techniques and resources such as tools and datasets. Despite the existence of millions of speakers around the globe and the rich literary history of more than a thousand years, it is expensive to find the computational linguistic work related to Punjabi Shahmukhi script, a member of the Perso-Arabic context-specific script low-resource language family. This paper presents a deep insight into the related work with summary statistics, advocating the popularity and success of artificial neural networks and related techniques. The paper includes support from recent trends from the authentic sources based on the top-level researchers' feedback including the machine learning frameworks. A comprehensive comparison of the most popular deep learning techniques convolutional neural network and the recursive neural network has been presented for the cursive context-specific scripts of Perso-Arabic nature. The overview of the available benchmark datasets for machine learning problems, especially for the Perso-Arabic group, is added. This paper incorporates essential knowledge contents for the researchers in machine learning and natural language processing disciplines on the selection of algorithms, architectures, and resources.

Background: The objective of the present study was to review the essential knowledge about the combinations of the most commonly used or under development targeted treatments and radiation therapy (RT). Methods: Preclinical and clinical studies investigating this combination were extensively reviewed. Results: Several studies showed that the combination of RT and tamoxifen increased the risk of radiation-induced pulmonary toxicity; therefore, both modalities should not be given concomitantly. The combination of HER2 inhibitors (trastuzumab, pertuzumab) and RT seems to be safe. However, trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) should not be administered concurrently with brain RT since this combination could increase the risk of brain radionecrosis. The combination of RT and other new target treatments such as selective estrogen receptor degradants, lapatinib, cell cycle inhibitors, immune checkpoint inhibitors, or molecules acting on DNA damage repair seems feasible but was essentially evaluated on retrospective or prospective studies with a small number of patients. Furthermore, there is considerable heterogeneity among these studies regarding the dose and fractionation of radiation, the dosage of drugs, and the sequence of treatments used. Conclusions: The combination of RT with most targeted therapies for BC appears to be well-tolerated, but these results need to be confirmed in prospective randomized studies.

Introduction: The whole world has been closely focusing on an outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a novel coronavirus that was first reported in Wuhan, China, on December 31, 2019, and that continues to spread. This article, based on our experience and relevant guidelines and research, not only gives essential knowledge about COVID-19, but also about disinfection protocols in dental settings. Aim & Objective: To investigate knowledge, attitude & practice of Pedodontists regarding disinfection protocol during the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials & Methods: A quick online cross-sectional study was conducted among 335 Pedodontists of India. A 16-point questionnaire was made on Google forms and distributed amongst 420 Pedodontists in India, out of which 335 responded. The collected data was sent for appropriate statistics. Results: Of the total participants 95.82% of Pedodontists are aware of disinfection protocols to be followed during COVID-19. 57.31% of Pedodontists say that 1% sodium hypochlorite is effective in disinfecting operative surfaces & the best agent to disinfect dental waterlines. Conclusion: The role of Pedodontists in preventing the transmission of COVID-19 is of paramount importance. The role of Pedodontists in defending covid19 is essential.

Irinotecan is an anticancer agent widely used for the treatment of solid tumors, including colorectal and pancreatic cancers. Severe neutropenia and diarrhea are common dose-limiting toxicities of irinotecan-based therapy, and UGT1A1 polymorphisms are one of the major risk factors of these toxicities. In 2005, the US Food and Drug Administration revised the drug label to indicate that patients with UGT1A1*28 homozygous genotype should receive a decreased dose of irinotecan. However, UGT1A1*28 testing is not routinely used in the clinic, and specific reasons include lack of access to concise information on this wide issue as well as mixed recommendations by regulatory and professional entities. To assist oncologists in assessing whether and when to use UGT1A1 genetic testing in patients receiving irinotecan-based therapies, this article provided (1) essential knowledge of UGT1A1 polymorphisms; (2) an update on the impact of UGT1A1 polymorphisms on efficacy and toxicity of contemporary irinotecan-based regimens; (3) dosing adjustments based upon the UGT1A1 genotypes, and (4) recommendations from currently available guidelines from the US and international scientific consortia and major oncology societies.

In this book of the series Moheb Costandi provides the reader with a celar and coherent picture about neuroplasticity and neurogenesis . Not just at the level of theories and research results, but also regarding various stages of practical application. It is equally applicable for average people in areas of everyday life- adult education, lifelong learning, and mental training, too. Costandi’s book is decidedly good background material for Anders Hansen’s practical book ‘The Real Happy Pill: Power Up Your Brain by Moving Your Body’ (Németh, 2020).

Extension professionals’ use of learner-centered instructional practices can maximize engagement and more effectively address expressed needs within their diverse communities. The Outcome-Based Extension Education Design and Facilitating Teaching and Learning templates enable educators to effectively implement curricula that identify context-specific learner needs, activities that increase learner engagement, and assessment tasks that gather evidence of essential knowledge construction and skills development. Using these two practical tools, Extension professionals can streamline the creation of compelling and efficacious programs that focus on the intended learning outcomes.
