Interprofessional education (IPE) has emerged as a core educational method among human service and medical educational settings. Research suggests that learners who learn in IPE settings have better transdisciplinary communication skills and are better team members. Unfortunately, competing demands of multiple academic divisions can make facilitating IPE cumbersome. This chapter will describe the processes for developing, implementing, and evaluating an IPE experience drawn from de-identified patient records. The model includes information about incorporating learners from medicine, pharmacy, psychology, social work, and law, but could easily be expanded to include learners from other disciplines. The authors include descriptions of the process of implementing the unfolding case series in both face-to-face and live remote settings. This will include a sample case vignette, a pre-/post-survey, and learning objectives. Finally, the authors include opportunities for expansion and discussion of the challenges of implementing a curriculum targeted toward learners from diverse disciplines.

This paper is intended to understand the description and characteristics of legal research produced by law faculty students and developed by law scientists and researchers at Syiah Kuala University as a sample case. Does the description of the research results of legal researchers, including students and legal scientists, follow the characteristics and legal paradigms that tend to be classical or have they led to the development of contemporary legal theories.

This research compares factor models based on principal component analysis (PCA) and partial least squares (PLS) with Autometrics, elastic smoothly clipped absolute deviation (E-SCAD), and minimax concave penalty (MCP) under different simulated schemes like multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation. The comparison is made with varying sample size and covariates. We found that in the presence of low and moderate multicollinearity, MCP often produces superior forecasts in contrast to small sample case, whereas E-SCAD remains better. In the case of high multicollinearity, the PLS-based factor model remained dominant, but asymptotically the prediction accuracy of E-SCAD significantly enhances compared to other methods. Under heteroscedasticity, MCP performs very well and most of the time beats the rival methods. In some circumstances under large samples, Autometrics provides a similar forecast as MCP. In the presence of low and moderate autocorrelation, MCP shows outstanding forecasting performance except for the small sample case, whereas E-SCAD produces a remarkable forecast. In the case of extreme autocorrelation, E-SCAD outperforms the rival techniques under both the small and medium samples, but further augmentation in sample size enables MCP forecast more accurate comparatively. To compare the predictive ability of all methods, we split the data into two halves (i.e., data over 1973–2007 as training data and data over 2008–2020 as testing data). Based on the root mean square error and mean absolute error, the PLS-based factor model outperforms the competitor models in terms of forecasting performance.

This article focuses on the interplay of research and practice (research⇔practice integration) in advancing international efforts to understand and enhance positive youth development (PYD). We discuss 3 facets of PYD research and application that have cross-cutting relevance to theory, to the use of theory for designing principles of PYD programs, and to evaluating whether specific instances of youth development programs have features that promote PYD. Using dynamic, relational developmental-systems-based concepts, we discuss the process of development involved in PYD, the use of the specificity principle to frame research and practice and, as a sample case illustrating how PYD research and practice can be advanced through the use of the specificity principle, we focus on one facet of PYD, that is, positive character, or character virtues. We point to important future directions for further illuminating the specificity of PYD process through assessing the developmental neurobiology of PYD, and we emphasize the important contributions that PYD research and practice integration can make worldwide to enhancing youth contributions to equity, social justice, and democracy.

Music is often known to stimulate the neurological physiology as well as physical health due to its therapeutic abilities. This article presents a detailed review about the Indian classical music (ICM) Raagas with their relationship to the time of the day during which it is played, the season of the year during which it has a maximal positive effect as well as its relationship to Vaatha, Pittha and Kapha. Two sample case studies with melodic scales are reviewed wherein the first case study relates to the successful stress reduction using Darbari kanada Raaga for subjects undergoing gastroendoscopy and the second one highlights the reduction of blood pressure and heart rate for hypertensive women in their third trimester of pregnancy. A meaningful conclusion is drawn by providing a comprehensive assessment about these two case studies thereby emphasizing on the positive effects of music therapy.

Abstract   The application of ICT to support government activities is known as e-government. The website is one of the technologies that has an important role in government institutions to facilitate digital relations between government and society. The implementation of the website acts as an information portal and supports policies regarding public information disclosure. This community service activity with the theme of optimizing digital content was carried out in the Smart Room at the Pandeglang Regency Diskomsantik office and was attended by employees who manage the Pandeglang Regency official website. This activity applies training and evaluation methods to sample case analysis. The results of the training activities showed an increase in knowledge of 24% related to case studies on website content.   Keywords: E-Government, Government, Optimalization, Public Information, Website   Abstrak   Penerapan TIK untuk mendukung berbagai kegiatan pemerintahan dikenal dengan e-government.
