Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a condition that appears during pregnancy and is expected to be a temporary one. While patients are encouraged to manage it themselves, research findings indicate that GDM may negatively affect the foetus; in addition, there is an increased risk of women with GDM subsequently developing Type 2 diabetes. To alleviate the risks, women with GDM are advised to maintain a record of their diet and blood glucose levels and to attend regular clinical reviews. Rather than using a paper diary, women with GDM can maintain a record of their blood glucose level readings and other relevant data using a wellness mobile application (app). However, such apps are developed for general use and may not meet the specific needs of clinical staff (physicians, dietitians, obstetricians and midwives) involved in managing GDM; for example, an app may record glucose readings but not the details of a meal taken before or after the glucose reading. Second, the apps do not permanently store the data generated by the patient and do not support the transfer of these data to a clinical system or information portal. The mobile health (mHealth) system designed and developed in this research allows one to integrate different types of user generated wellness data into a centralised database. A user-centered design (UCD) approach informed by the technology acceptance model (TAM) was adopted. This paper investigates and evaluates the effectiveness of the approach with regard to facilitating system acceptance and future adoption through an early focus on enhancing system usefulness and ease of use. The functional system requirements of the proposed system were refined through a series of interviews with the perspective of clinical users; ease-of-use and usability issues were resolved through ‘think aloud’ sessions with clinicians and GDM patients.

Abstract Sustainable agriculture and active collaboration between farmers are important concepts that have a significant impact on the development of sustainable agriculture, in striving for social and economic development, as well as supporting the reduction of impact to environment. Based on a systematic and comparative analysis, this study highlights the role of collaboration towards developing sustainable agriculture. The overall results imply that more active farmers collaboration requires more active sharing of experience, knowledge and information through meetings or seminars by creating an information portal or platform. These measures could lead to more qualitative communication, more open information sharing, mutual trust and risk reduction, which would ensure the development of sustainable agriculture.

Background: We have previously reported that the Pathways to Comorbidity Care (PCC) training program for alcohol and other drug (AOD) clinicians improved identification of comorbidity, self-efficacy, and attitudes toward screening and monitoring of comorbidity. We aimed to identify barriers and facilitators of implementation of the PCC training program in drug and alcohol settings. Methods: The PCC training program was implemented across 6 matched sites in Australia as per (1), and 20 clinicians received training. PCC training included seminar presentations, workshops conducted by local “clinical champions,” individual clinical supervision, and access to an online information portal. We examined barriers and facilitators of implementation according to the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research. Results: Barriers included inner setting (e.g., allocated time for learning) and characteristics of individuals (e.g., resistance). Facilitators included intervention characteristics (e.g., credible sources), inner setting (e.g., leadership), and outer setting domains (e.g., patient needs). Clinical champions were identified as an important component of the implementation process. Conclusions: Barriers included limited specific allocated time for learning. A credible clinical supervisor, strong leadership engagement and an active clinical champion were found to be facilitators of the PCC training program.

Objective: to systematize and analyze data on the anatomical and morphological characteristics of the superior cluneal nerves and to consider the potential of the application of medical imaging techniques for the diagnosis of their damage.Materials and methods. We studied original publications deposited in PubMed resources and the information portal eLIBRARY.RU which contained information on the application of imaging techniques for the diagnosis of superior cluneal nerve neuropathy.Results. The work highlights the most important aspects relating to the potential of the application of imaging techniques in the diagnosis of superior cluneal nerve neuropathy.Conclusion. Modern methods of radiodiagnostics make it possible to provide visualization of superior cluneal nerve neuropathy. However, the lack of reliable diagnostic criteria does not allow of trustworthy diagnosis of this pathology and, accordingly, of verification of associated low back pain cases.

A Web portal aggregates an array of information for a target audience and affords a variety of services including search engines, directories, news, e-mail, and chat rooms, and they have evolved to provide a customized gateway to Web information. Also, a high level of personalization and customization has been possible. The portal concept could further be established to function as a classy Web interface that can serves as sustenance for variety of the task performance. The aggregate information Web portal will serve as portals for the information needs of users on the web. The Web based portal enable marketing of users broadly across a wide variety of interests. Most of the popular usage of the Web based aggregate information portal probably refers to the visual and user interface (UI) design of a Web site. It is a crucial aspect since the visitor is often more impressed with looks of website and easy to use rather than about the technologies and techniques that are used behind the scenes, or the operating system that runs on the web server. In other words, it just does not matter what technologies that is involved in creating, when the site is hard to use and easy to forget. This paper explores the factors that must be painstaking during the design and development of a Web based aggregate information portal. Design as a word in the context of a Web application can mean many things. A working Web based aggregate information portal, kaseremulticoncept was developed to support the various users’ task performances. A number of technologies was studied and implemented in this research, which includes multi-tier architecture, server and client side scripting techniques and technologies such as PHP programming languages and relational databases such as MySQL, Structured Query language (SQL) and XAMPP Server.

The articles object is a process of accounting and information support for the formation of depreciation policy. The purpose of this article is to develop a conceptual framework for a common accounting and information space of depreciation policy. First, the authors consider the benefits of total digitalization of the organization and methodological support of depreciation policy process and make some assumptions related to the concept of enterprise’s economic data protection.  Since the scientific challenge is how to effectively monitor and quickly adjust depreciation policy, the authors have chosen methods to analyze the relations between business, government regulation, and economic data security. In the course of the research, a survey of 376 enterprises of Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine was conducted. To identify impact of the enterprise size on the availability of information about individual indicators, they are grouped according to the selected system of taxation (simplified and general). In addition, the survey results and monitoring of the beta version of depreciation policy's information portal were presented. It was also concluded that the accounting indicators can be used to quickly adjust the depreciation policy at the state level.

<p>As open source geospatial mapping toolkits and platforms continue to develop and mature, the developers of web portals using these solutions need to regularly review and revaluate their technology choices in order to stay up to date and provide the best possible experience and functionality to their users. We are currently undergoing such a refresh with our AuScope Discovery Portal, Virtual Geophysics Laboratory, and the AuScope 3D Geological Models Portal. The task of deciding which solutions to utilise as part of the upgrade process is not to be underestimated. Our main evaluation criteria include the ability to support commonly used map layer formats and web service protocols, support for 3D display capabilities, community size and activity, ease of adding custom display and scientific workflow / processing widgets, cost and benefits of integration with existing components and maintainability into the future. We are beginning a journey to update and integrate our portals’ functionality and will outline the decision process and conclusions of our investigations as well as the detailed evaluation of web based geospatial solutions against our functional and operational criteria.</p>
