This chapter offers an in-depth look at health politics and the tax-financed, universal health system in Denmark. It traces the development of the Danish healthcare system, characterized by an evolving division of labor between central authorities and decentralized municipal and regional governments. Since the late 1980s, Danish health policy has seen a number of gradual changes and a major structural reform passed in 2005 that amalgamated municipalities and regions and changed healthcare financing rules, thus shifting the balance of shared power toward the center. Other healthcare issues have been cost containment, patient rights, and promotion of local integrated health services. A negotiated policy style contributes to efficient implementation of reforms once a decision has been made.

Abstract Background The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act increased funding for integrated care to improve access to quality health care among underserved populations. There is evidence that integrated care decreases inequities in access and quality of mental health care among Hispanic clients. Increasing integrated care at Hispanic-Serving Organizations may help to eliminate mental health service disparities among Hispanic clients. Method Using organizational responses from the 2014 and 2016 waves of the National Mental Health Service survey, this study conducted multivariate logistic analyses to assess whether the ACA policies related to integrated care increased the provision of integrated addictions treatment and primary care at mental health Hispanic-Serving Organizations, relative to Mainstream Organizations. Results Findings showed that Hispanic-Serving Organizations (54.4%) were less likely to provide integrated health services than Mainstream Organizations (59.1%) after the ACA. However, federal funding to help organizations transition into integrated care services (AOR = 1.74, p = 0.01) and accepting Medicaid payments (AOR = 1.59, p = 0.01) increased the provision of integrated care services at Hispanic-Serving Organizations over time. Conclusions Health care policies that increase funding to adopt integrated health services at community Hispanic-Serving Organizations may help decrease inequities in mental health access for Hispanics in the United States.

Processes of artistic reparation and memory recovery are spaces created for victims of state terrorism and family members of the disappeared in the context of the military dictatorship in Chile (1973‐90). Puppet therapy was utilized as a methodology by the company Puppets in Transit with participants drawn from Integrated Health Services in Chile in relation to reparation projects. This process of intervention with puppets seeks to restore social bonds, to enable an intergenerational dialogue and to transmit fragmented memory. The puppet, an expressive, symbolic and mediating object, stimulates a collective dialogue to create collective performance related to participants’ memories. ABSTRACT Menopause is a normal life event and it is not a disease. Menopause usually occurs gradually between the ages of 45 to 55 years. The natural menopause occurs in women who still have ovaries. A normal menopause occurs due to the decreased estrogen production due to the aging process, however there are other factors which cause menopause to occur and when it occurs, among them are:  the age when a woman first gets menstruation (menarche), psych   ological factors, number of children, childbearing age, use of hormonal contraceptives, smoking, socioeconomic factors, change in patterns of healthy eating, overly strict diet and diabetes mellitus. The objective of this study was to reveal the relationship between childbearing age and the use of hormonal contraceptives and menopausal age at the Integrated Health Services for Elderly of  Al-Hidayah in 1 Ulu Darat Village Palembang. This is a quantitative study using analytical survey method with cross sectional approach. The population of the study was all the women aged ≥ 55 years older who were members of the Integrated Health Services for Elderly of  Al-Hidayah in 1 Ulu Darat Village Palembang totaling 70 people in which  the samples were all members of the population. The results of the statistical test using Chi Square showed that there was a relationship between childbearing age and menopausal age with ρ value = 0.003 < α 0.05, and there is an association of hormonal contraceptive use and menopausal age with ρ value = 0.009 < α 0.05. It is suggested that the cadres of the Integrated Health Services for Elderly of  Al-Hidayah in 1 Ulu Darat Village Palembang provide counseling to all women especially those elderly in their working area about the factors that can affect the age of menopause, so that women entering the age of 45 years may be more comfortable in facing menopausal age.
