<p>Instagram, famous for its easy picture and video sharing features, also has some other features, such as quiz, question, and poll, which can be used as English learning tools. The incorporation of Instagram becomes a valuable resource as most university students use Instagram. This study aims to explore those features and to investigate students’ perceptions of Instagram as learning tools. The research participants are 50 students who speak English as a foreign language (EFL) studying at a university which applies English as a medium of instruction (EMI). The participants follow the researcher’s Instagram account and are notified by email for every new post. They, therefore, can view and participate in those posts. The data is gathered from an online questionnaire. The results suggest that quiz is favored for its surprisingly effective function as a correction tool for common errors. In addition, cartoon post is favored as it provides funny and contextual use of the vocabulary which makes the vocabulary memorable. Hence, Instagram becomes effective English learning environment, which is supplementary to English classes, especially as an error correction and source of vocabulary input reaching massive number of students with only one post.</p>

Regenerative Medicine is a branch of medicine holding promise for the repair of cells, tissues, and organs to effective function. Much of the field has been developed in response to damage sustained by injury and disease. However, the body is under constant maintenance with a natural ebb and flow of dying and renewing cells. In addition, cells, tissues, and organs are constantly responding to routine demands to accommodate great variations in signals and responses. Remarkable examples are the cells composing the blood vessels and airways of the lungs. The ability to regulate, maintain and respond to changes in blood pressure and gas exchange across the blood-air interface illustrates the relentless ability of our bodies to self-adjust and self-renew throughout life. Likewise, the earth in which we live is under constant change and remodeling. Natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions and earthquakes, with time, recover and become incorporated into the rhythm of daily life. Initial recovery may be brutal but in both cases, the body and the earth have an amazing power to heal.

AbstractCollective movements are essential for the effective function of animal societies, but are complicated by the need for consensus among group members. Consensus is typically assumed to arise via feedback mechanisms, but this ignores inter-individual variation in behavioural tendency (‘personality’), which is known to underpin the successful function of many complex societies. In this study, we use a theoretical approach to examine the relative importance of personality and feedback in the emergence of collective movement decisions in animal groups. Our results show that variation in personality dramatically influences collective decisions and can partially or completely replace feedback depending on the directionality of relationships among individuals. The influence of personality increases with the exaggeration of differences among individuals. While it is likely that both feedback and personality interact in nature, our findings highlight the potential importance of personality in driving collective processes.

The character is considered a prominent artistic element in the narrative text. The characters within the narrative text move and direct the events of the text forward. This study is an attempt to demonstrate the function of the characters in the epic narrative text in order to embody the meaning within the epic text. This study entitled (The Function of the Characters in the Kurdish Folklore Epic - lAlikhana Kofi) is divided into two parts. The first section was devoted to the theoretical aspect and we explored it in terms of the term personality And the concept, importance and types within the narrative text. As for the second section, it was devoted to the applied aspect, and we applied to the types of characters within the epic text, and in the last we concluded that there are three types of characters within the epic: the main, secondary and marginal. It also turns out that there are three main people inside the saga, and that there is a group of secondary people whose job is to assist the main characters within the saga, and there is also a group of marginal people who do not have any effective function within the epic events. In 1982, Pawlak set up a fresh approach to deal with uncertainties namely rough set theory, Multiple-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) first traced by Benjamin Franklin in 17th century. Several researchers did significant contribution to MCDM thereafter. An assignment problem involves what happens to the effective function when each of a number of sources is associated with the same number of destinations. Using MCDM, Rough matrices and Assignment model we are inducing an idea to pick Best’11 in all three formats (Test, One Day Internationals (ODI), Twenty20 International matches (T20I)) in the game of cricket with players from two nationals. Using the existing data, we are providing best batting position for any player to maximize team’s run. In addition, based on the preprocessing of informations, we are bringing some new indices to pick Indian squad for the 2019 World Cup cricket held in England from May 2019 to July 2019. After making a selection from our framework, we will compare the list of selected players by Board of Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) and giveaway the percentage of similarity between the our selection against BCCI’s selection. We pick 11 players after selecting 15 players from 24 players to formulate the assignment model and offer the best batting order to optimize team’s run.

The article contains an analytical review of linguistic works devoted to the reinterpretation of pronouns as a grammatical class of Russian words. Pronouns are words that are difficult to systematize according to the characteristics on the basis of which parts of speech in the language are distinguished. The purpose of the study is to consider the most important works in the field of linguistics, to generalize the views and approaches in the description of the pronominal class and to determine the most productive of them. The subject of research in this article is the works on pronouns, published in the late XX and early XXI century. The analysis revealed the main problems and trends in the description of the pronominal class in modern Russian linguistics. It was found that pronouns require special description schemes, since they differ in their properties from all other words at the categorical level. The most productive approach to describe them is the functional one, which makes it possible to study pronouns, taking into account the specifics of their use in texts and communication. Among several methods of functional research, the most effective is the description of pronouns according to the effective function.

This study investigated whether street names could evoke the inhabitants’ cultural memory and identity in Nanchang, China. In total, 446 participants were surveyed online to answer 16 questions regarding their attitude of the street names with various cultural contents. The result showed although in various degrees, street names did evoke the inhabitants’ cultural memory and identity. By and large, the agreement proportion of street names after figures, events, and religious sites or buildings was relatively higher than that of ancient buildings, historical allusions, and ancient myths. It is argued that this variation mainly relied on the respondents’ familiarity with the cultural background. It is also suggested to consider how to enrich such cultural knowledge to keep more effective function of street names on cultural memory and identity.
