In most regions of the country, early damage of elevated water tanks during their service life is becoming an increasing concern. The majority of damage occurs in tanks due to a lack of knowledge in design and ignoring continuity effect. Elevated water tank are used for storage of water at certain height and supplying water for essential usage. Hence damage of such structure endanger supply of drinking water and severe economical losses. The main purpose of this research is to determine the importance of continuity analysis in practical application and use of staadpro software to analyse an elevated circular water tank. The bottom joint of water tank is examined using continuity effect. This is the common joint where base slab, wall, bottom rings beam, gallery, column and base beam join. water tank is subjected to self-weight and hydrostatic Pressure due to water. Continuity effect increase stress, Hoop tension, BM hence its necessary to consider its effect while designing the tank. The results obtained from staadpro software is nearly same with manual result. This indicated that staadpro is suitable for design and analysis of water tanks. Three model having capacity of 55 m3, 125 m3 and 221 m3 situated in yavatmal, buldana and ramtek district is taken for analysis. Seismic analysis and wind analysis is also carried out on this model for safety purpose.

Abstract This article explores the multigenerational impact of Sovietization policies on the reproduction of educational inequalities in Estonia. Estonia provides an opportunity to assess the multigenerational effect under conditions of regime changes after transitioning from the independent Estonian Republic to Soviet Estonia and thence to the newly independent post-Soviet Estonia. During Sovietization, a wide range of measures involving repressions and positive discrimination were applied to abruptly hinder intergenerational continuity. Analysis based on retrospective data from the Estonian Family and Fertility Survey 2004 indicates grandparents’ social positions are associated with grandchildren’s attainment of higher education. Their influence is only partially mediated through the parental generation. Overall, the Sovietization policies have not reduced either the two or three-generational reproduction of inequality. Moreover, these policies produced unintended consequences, facilitating the transmission of advantage in three generational perspectives. Our findings argue in favour of the importance of contextual sensitivity and a multigenerational perspective in research of social stratification.

Endometrial cancer is a ubiquitous gynecological disease with increasing global incidence. Therefore, despite the lack of an established screening technique to date, early diagnosis of endometrial cancer assumes critical importance. This paper presents an artificial-intelligence-based system to detect the regions affected by endometrial cancer automatically from hysteroscopic images. In this study, 177 patients (60 with normal endometrium, 21 with uterine myoma, 60 with endometrial polyp, 15 with atypical endometrial hyperplasia, and 21 with endometrial cancer) with a history of hysteroscopy were recruited. Machine-learning techniques based on three popular deep neural network models were employed, and a continuity-analysis method was developed to enhance the accuracy of cancer diagnosis. Finally, we investigated if the accuracy could be improved by combining all the trained models. The results reveal that the diagnosis accuracy was approximately 80% (78.91–80.93%) when using the standard method, and it increased to 89% (83.94–89.13%) and exceeded 90% (i.e., 90.29%) when employing the proposed continuity analysis and combining the three neural networks, respectively. The corresponding sensitivity and specificity equaled 91.66% and 89.36%, respectively. These findings demonstrate the proposed method to be sufficient to facilitate timely diagnosis of endometrial cancer in the near future.

AbstractIn this article, we present the continuity analysis of the 3D models produced by the tensor product scheme of $(m+1)$ ( m + 1 ) -point binary refinement scheme. We use differences and divided differences of the bivariate refinement scheme to analyze its smoothness. The $C^{0}$ C 0 , $C^{1}$ C 1 and $C^{2}$ C 2 continuity of the general bivariate scheme is analyzed in our approach. This gives us some simple conditions in the form of arithmetic expressions and inequalities. These conditions require the mask and the complexity of the given refinement scheme to analyze its smoothness. Moreover, we perform several experiments by using these conditions on established schemes to verify the correctness of our approach. These experiments show that our results are easy to implement and are applicable for both interpolatory and approximating types of the schemes.

The article considers the main reasons, parameters, and history of regional Russian banks based on the example of Moscow. One of the main methods used is the comparative-historical method, which applies to various sections of the article. The author uses elements of biographical analysis. The field of research includes several Moscow banks, mainly related to trade. The study names famous Moscow entrepreneurs who were at the origins of banking in the old capital, and draws attention to the fact that many of them were old believers. This article can be the basis for an open discussion about the historical continuity, analysis of the activities of modern Moscow banks and their connection with analogues at the turn of the XIX — early XX centuries.

A new method for the formation of parabolic curves and surfaces is proposed. It does not impose restrictions on the relative positions in space of the sequence of reference points relative to each other, meaning it compares favorably with other prototypes. The disadvantages of the Overhauser and Brever–Anderson methods are noted. The method allows one to effectively form and edit curves and surfaces when changing the coordinates of any given point. This positive effect is achieved due to the appropriate choice of local coordinate systems for the mathematical description of each parabola, which together define a composite interpolation curve or surface. The paper provides a detailed mathematical description of the method of parabolic interpolation of curves and surfaces based on the use of matrix calculations. Analytical descriptions of a composite parabolic curve and its first and second derivatives are given, and continuity analysis of these factors is carried out. For the matrix of points of the defining polyhedron, expressions are presented that describe the corresponding surfaces, as well as the unit normal at any point. The comparative table of the required number of pseudo-codes for calculating the coordinates of one point for constructing a parabolic curve for the three methods is given.

The goal of Geostatistic is to predict the spatial distribution of a property. In this topic we are going to study two types of Spatial Analysis: i) Conventional Analysis (Nongeostatistical); ii) Spatial Continuity Analysis (Geostatistical). We will also try to understand what are Experimental variograms (Nugget; Range and Sill), Variogram models (basic variogram functions) and Estimation (Kriging). The video includes an Exercise. The materials for this topic are a slide presentation, a video with an exercise resolution using geostatistics and two guidebooks.

Purpose This study aims to represent an early attempt to define the notion of continuity and empirically illustrate its explanatory potential and methodological challenges. Design/methodology/approach This study combines historical and qualitative research techniques to conduct a qualitative analysis of continuity in the Jablkowski Brothers Department Store, a Polish centennial company. The paper highlights the potential synergies between historical and qualitative methods when applied to the analysis of long periods of time. Findings The authors find that using a theoretical framework of continuity provides novel ontological and epistemological insights into the nature of long-lived companies. Based on the findings, the authors present continuity in the context of existing theories and argue that it is a unique concept that deserves more scientific attention and rigorous empirical study. Originality/value This study contributes to the existing literature in three ways. First, it provides a brief, interdisciplinary overview of the concept of continuity. Second, it provides an empirical illustration of continuity analysis in a Polish centennial company with extremely discontinuous history. Finally, it positions continuity within the wider context of existing theories and shows how, through continuity, history can contribute to both the practice and theory of management.
