In our daily life, we are facing several problems; Traffic congestion is one of them, which is becoming serious day by day. High number of vehicles on road, insufficient infrastructure, unreasonable developments are some reasons for increasing traffic congestion. The aim of this paper is to introduce a mathematical model which can be applied to traffic control system having fixed time signal with preset time to minimize traffic congestion at an intersection. In this paper, we use the concept of traffic intensity and Assignment model for traffic congestion minimization.

The present research investigated the perception of four stakeholders’ viz. industry managers/supervisors, CAD practitioners working in Garment Manufacturing industry and faculty and students from Fashion Technology discipline towards CAD adoption in the Indian scenario. Initial interactions with the CAD vendors revealed that the adoption of CAD by Indian Garment Manufacturers is significantly low compared to their counter parts of neighbouring countries despite the acceptance of the fact by majority that the advancement of technology has a clear impact on manufacturing efficiency. This mismatch led to the present research. The study employed a survey method using a structured questionnaire to obtain responses from the above-mentioned four stakeholders. Findings proved that all the four respondents viz Industry Managers, Industry CAD practitioners; Academic Faculty and Academic Students are of the opinion that CAD systems are useful and beneficial to the garment industry.

The inadequacy to replace acetaminophen (APAP) with a more effective analgesic continues its use in therapeutic interventions, upholding the risk of hepatotoxicity. Depletion of glutathione reserves by a metabolic intermediate of acetaminophen, N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone imine (NAPQI), is the major reason. The current study presents the combinatorial effect of metformin, a biguanide, in ameliorating the APAP toxicity. HepG2 cells were used for in vitro studies and MTT and LDH leakage assays were used for viability assessment. 10 ?M of metformin improved the cell viability and membrane integrity of cells treated with a high antioxidant enzymes and reduced glutathione were significantly increased in cells co-administrated with metformin and acetaminophen

This paper primarily focuses on the effect of feed to inoculum ratio on biogas digestion; and outlines the various feeds, inoculums, and synergistic effects of the combination of inoculums by referring to the literature. The Start-up of an anaerobic digestion system is highly critical and pivotal for the successful operation of an anaerobic digester. For this purpose, a certain amount of inoculum is added to the digester along with the substrate to provide the necessary microorganisms to initiate the digestion process. The ratio and the type of inoculum used substantially affect the rate of biodegradation and the lag time. The degradation of substrate depends on the concentration of microorganisms. When food waste was considered as the feed it was found that factors such as waste oil content, the addition of alkaline buffer, particle size, organic loading rate had a considerable effect on the feed to inoculum ratio. Studies considering some other feeds such as animal by products from piggery slaughterhouses, poultry slaughterhouse wastes, agro-industrial waste, anaerobically digested sludge obtained from municipal wastewater, and dewatered digestate cake were also compared. Hence, the objective of this study is to offer an integrated view of the appropriate feed and the inoculum under the effect of various other essential parameters. The major performance indicators from this study were found to be particle size of inoculum, organic loading rate, the addition of alkaline buffer, F/I ratio, and structure of inoculum
