Information technology is amongst those branches of science that is developing extremely fast in modern times. Long gone are the times when it was just about programming and coding. This article talks about practical aspects of teaching spatial modelling and visualisation which are a part of computer graphics. The knowledge gained in those subjects opens the doors to further education in fields such as engineering or in any disciplines using computers in designing process. The educational methods discussed are based on Blender open source 3D creation suite. Therefore incorporation of the examined resources into the educational process doesn’t accrue any excessive costs.

The article attempts to answer the question whether being a celebrity can be considered as a profession in the world which is nowadays dominated by digital media. In the initial part of the text, the enthemology of the term “celebrity” is presented and the definitions of the celebrity are given in relation to traditional media, such as television or the press, and to the virtual internet space, where celebrities are called influencers. Then, it was presented how popular people can earn on their recognition, and what the amounts are. Rankings of the most valuable, from the advertising campaigns' point of view, celebrities were presented. The most popular profiles of people presently performing in social media in Poland were analyzed, including those with the largest Instagram account ranges or the most profitable YouTube channels. The contents and ranges related to the presented topics were discussed. The most lucrative social issues in the media space are listed, which includes topics related to fashion, travel, healthy lifestyle, luxury products or showing private lives of people who are related to broadly understood showbiz (including actors, singers, journalists). Examples of people from celebrity families are given, who have become popular due to the fact that they are associated with an active person in the media (including celebrity children) and earn on the internet by running their profiles on social networks. Also, the dangerous phenomenon of patoinfluencers, who gain publicity by presenting content related to violence, the use of stimulants, aggression, profanity, etc. was highlighted. As a summary, it was recognized that being a modern celebrity/influencer can be considered as a type of profession, because earning popularity allows to obtain such remuneration, which is a source of income, and being a celebrity determines the position of the individual in the society.

The article presents selected modern solutions that can be used by academic teachers not only in times of isolation. Many of them use modern technologies only to a basic extent such as e-mail handling or preparing presentations. Increasingly, they look for new knowledge in electronic resources such as scientific databases available from their library accounts. In social sciences, however, the use of the Internet for scientific research is not popular. The same situation is with the use of the Internet for teaching. The aim of the article is to present both the educational platforms that every scientist can use in their work with students as well as the platforms through which they can do research.

In each education area implemented in grades I–III, including in IT education, proportions must be maintained between educational and upbringing activities. As early as at the stage of their professional training, teachers should be encouraged to spread IT upbringing, in particular related to the safe and optimal use of information and communication technologies by young users. The study refers to what is contained in the core curriculum and selected curricula directly or indirectly related to IT upbringing. It also analyses activities connected with IT upbringing in the preparation and conducting of classes by students of pedagogy majoring in early school education. Some of these students demonstrate a type of behaviour which shows lack of information regarding the area of IT upbringing, which in adult life may become a hard problem to solve.

Global digitization has changed the way of societies function, but, above all, has changed interpersonal relationships. Opportunities that arose with the development of IT, on the one hand, have become an important contribution to economic and social development, on the other hand, they have rapidly entered to the private sphere. A lot of free applications available for stationary and mobile devices has opened up new opportunities for IT giants. The offer they make to users of their products is theoretically free, but reality points to other practices. We pay for the facilities provided to us by losing our privacy.
