Studying the effect of microwave fields on the intensification of heat and moisture exchange processes in a granular layer is a rather complicated task, which cannot be effectively solved without an adequate research methodology. In presented materials, a system of principles and approaches for studying processes of microwave-convective grain treatment has been discussed. Based on the explicitly defined process target, functional-physical analysis has been performed that made it possible to specify the most essential factors of process. Morphological analysis of processes shall be performed in several stages. At each stage, targets of process have to be set by excluding combinations of factors that have no reason to be considered at this particular stage of process development. Application of mathematical simulation methods is advisable for selection of optimal options.

The high number of tourists who come to visit during the holiday season comes to Samosir Island. However, the number of tourists who come to the island of Samosir and the number of accommodations available at this time have not been able to meet the high interest of visiting tourists. The design of the Tuk-Tuk Lakeside Lake Toba Resort is one way to help achieve the benefit of tourists visiting the current Samosir island for comfortable lodging facilities and still feel what it is like to return to nature. The research methodology begins with collecting data, studying literature, surveying the location of the research, and also designing problem-solving. In creating an object to be designed, the designer can carry out a variety of alternative design approaches, one of which is to approach the theme that will be used in the designation, Green Architecture. The selection of Green Architecture themes in buildings is considered capable of describing functions and describing culture. Approach to the idea that takes air circulation systems that do not use the air conditioner or ac that is applied to the main buildings of hotels, restaurants, and resorts. Air and contour on the land on the plains of the unspoiled island of Samosir can become local wisdom that can be utilized in designing Tuk-Tuk lakeside Danau Toba Resort.

We conducted a systematic review of 15 relevant databases for articles about telemedicine. After eliminating articles that did not meet the inclusion criteria, 1615 remained for analysis. Three raters coded the articles to assess various theoretical and methodological variables. Only 5% ( n = 85) of the telemedicine articles made mention of any theory or paradigmatic approach. Studies commonly reported the objectives (96%) but rarely stated a research question or hypothesis (11%). Randomized selection of the subjects was reported in 11% of patient studies and 4% of studies where providers were the subject. There was a wide range in the number of subjects employed, although the majority of studies were based on sample sizes of less than 100. Only 26% of the studies reported a time frame. Until the telemedicine field adheres to agreed standards of reporting methodological details it will be difficult to draw firm conclusions from review studies.

This article reviews the data collection process. This process is of crucial importance because data offer empirical answers to theoretical research questions. Although the literature provides a wealth of instruction on the treatment of already collected data, far less has been written about the selection of the data. The present view focuses on this overlooked portion of research methodology. An actual illustration is used to demonstrate the factual decisions and procedures that may be used in any data collection process.

Corporate Social Responsibility Program of PT PELINDO II Branch Palembang is a program to improve the ability of small businesses to become strong and independent through the use of funds from the profits of PT PELINDO II BranchPalembang. The purpose of this research was to determine the application of credit management in the corporate social responsibility program(PKBL) PT. PELINDO II (Persero) Branch Palembang through character, business conditions, guarantees and other causes. The research methodology used in this research was to distribute questionnaires to 34 fostered partners, 1 PKBL employee and 1 supervisor. The results of the study show that the character of the fostered partners is of the opinion that PT. PELINDO II branch Palembang will not suffer losses even if the credit received is not returned. Seen from the questionnaire sample where 30 fostered partners (88.2%) strongly agree that if the PKBL credit loan is not returned, PT. PELINDO II branch Palembang has nothing to lose, so it has a big role in causing a large amount of arrears. Suggestions for further research are eliminating miscommunication with fostered partners, coordinating with other state-owned enterprises, conducting surveys of fostered partners, making effective visits to fostered partner locations and selection of prospective foster partners must be done correctly and transparently.

This volume explores the topics of adult learning and education through the specific lens of comparative research. The book is divided into four chapters comprising two parts: an analytic essay followed by an anthology of readings from a selection of key texts intended to illustrate different perspectives, theories and/or approaches from varying perspectives in different countries. The book represents the second of a series dedicated to adult learning and education and developed within the ESRALE European project. Its companion books are: Empirical Research Methodology in Adult Learning and Education. Authors and Texts and Researches in Adult Learning and Education: the European dimension.

The purpose of the article is to present a methodology of studies and reduction of meteothermoelastic deformations from extensometers data and the results of selection with its application of small amplitude deformation anomalies – precursors of local Transcarpathian earthquakes. The studies of meteothermal influences on the data of geophysical observations regime and the development of ways to taking into account such influences is one of the important tasks in conducting of geodynamic monitoring. This is especially relevant for extensometers studies. The research methodology consist of conducting a correlation analysis of extensometer and meteortemperature data and reduction of selected seasonal meteothermoelastic strains from variational deformations time series. As a result of those researches, in particular, the correlation between the temperature of air and deformations of the rocks massif at the "Muzhievo" observation point (Ukrainian Transcarpathians) was studied. The reduction of selected seasonal meteothermoelastic strains was carried out and a low amplitude deformation anomaly – the precursor of the local Transcarpathian earthquake with a magnitude M=3.3 at an epicenter distance of 31 km is identified. Selected anomaly has an amplitude (in relative deformations) ~3·10-7 (in comparison with the value of the seasonal meteothermoelastic variations ~14·10-7), it is 5-7 times greater than the amplitude of difference fluctuations (0.5·0.7·10-7) between the registered variations of deformations and the "regular" seasonal meteothermoelastic wave. The "precursor" duration of the anomaly is about 5 months. The practical significance of the work consists, in particular, in the fact that the application of the developed technique provides reduction of meteothermal influences and allows the search of low-amplitude deformation anomalies – precursors of earthquakes against the background of thermoelastic deformations. This, in fact, many times increases the actual sensitivity and, respectively, the zone of geodynamic and seismoprognostic control of concrete point of extensometers observations.

In order to evaluate and improve the efficiency of the process of grinding, various investigations are conducted, based on the relevant research methodology. One of them is the method in which the crushed sample is subjected to single stroke loads. On this basis, the influence of the geometric features of the chipper system and the dynamic process on the efficiency of the grinding is determined. Charpy hammers instrument were used to perform these modifications so that the momentary force of the resistance could be recorded with varying sample alignment, blade geometry changes and others. In addition, it was proposed to use a super fast camera (up to 1200 fps) to record the deformation of the sample and its destruction, in order to interpretation the burdens there. Under such idealized conditions, a range of variables has been identified that significantly affect the reduction of energy demand during grinding.
