In some cases, the processes of piercing or expanding pipe blanks involve the use of high-frequency active vibrations. However, due to insufficient knowledge, these processes are not widely used in the practice of seamless pipes production. In particular, the problems of increasing the efficiency of the processes of piercing or expanding a pipe blank at a piercing press using high-frequency vibrations are being solved without proper research and, as a rule, by experiments. The elaboration of modern technological processes for the production of seamless pipes using high-frequency vibrations is directly related to the choice of rational modes of metal deformation and the prediction resistance indicators of technological tools and the reliability of equipment operation. The creation of a mathematical model of the process of vibrating piercing (expansion) of an axisymmetric pipe blank at a piercing press of a pipe press facility is an actual task. A calculation scheme for the process of piercing a pipe plank has been elaborated. A dependence was obtained characterizing the speed of front of plastic deformation propagation on the speed of penetration of a vibrated axisymmetric mandrel into the pipe workpiece being pierced. The dynamic characteristics of the occurrence of wave phenomena in the metal being pierced under the influence of a vibrated tool have been determined, which significantly complements the previously known ideas about the stress-strain state of the metal in the deformation zone. The deformation fields in the zones of the disturbed region of the deformation zone were established, taking into account the high-frequency vibrations of the technological tool. It has been established that the choice of rational parameters (amplitude-frequency characteristics) of the vibration piercing process of a pipe blank results in significant increase in the efficiency of the process, the durability of the technological tool and the quality of the pierced blanks.

In this technology-driven era, the digitalization of social work practice is becoming almost mandatory in many countries, especially in Europe. Within this context, it is important to look at the possibilities and challenges for the digitalization of critical reflection, which is a fundamental part of social work practice. Using a conceptual and theoretical framework based on reflective practice, critical reflection, and experiential learning, this article aims to outline and discuss the use of ATLAS.ti software as a supporting tool in digitalizing critical reflection in social work supervision (SWS). For illustrative purposes, a case example of child welfare from Sweden is used. This article considers both the benefits and challenges of using ATLAS.ti as a technological tool for the digitalization of critical reflection in SWS. It concludes that social workers’ autonomy and wellbeing need to be at the center in deciding about the use of digital tools such as ATLAS.ti in SWS.

Abstract To contribute to the construction of young professionals with an integral profile in which the competitive spirit is promoted through the resolution of a technological challenge applied to the Oil & Gas industry, under a scenario that demands a high degree of commitment and with the accompaniment of professionals with great experience in the industry. In accordance with the data acquired and the program's target population, an appropriate methodology has been established for the development and strengthening of technical and soft skills. This methodology consists of four main phases: 1. Challenge construction 2. Best Teams selection 3. Challenge Resolution and 4. Results presentation. During the challenge resolution phase, participants have multiple technical and soft skills training sessions where experienced professionals share their knowledge and experiences related to the challenge theme in an environment of generational knowledge transfer. During the last 4 years, around 120 participants from different cities of the country have managed to potentiate their soft skills and strengthen their knowledge in areas of the Oil & Gas industry such as unconventional, enhanced recovery, heavy oil, huff & puff, combustion had tests, wettability, waterflooding, among others and materialize it with the construction of an innovative technological tool. The best of each version was rewarded with their first work experience in the Oil & Gas industry where they were able to put into practice what they had learned during the program. Likewise, the continuous acquisition of valuable information about variables at the end of the program such as the knowledge areas of greatest interest for students and young professionals, the level of knowledge related to oil engineering and programming, the handling of a second language, and the skills acquired during the university training stage, has allowed strengthening the methodology of the"SPE en Sinergia" program, adjusting it to the current needs of the industry and placing the participants outside their comfort zone. The development of the program and the results obtained are based on the identification of the strengths and weaknesses currently displayed by students in their final semesters and young professionals in careers related to petroleum engineering in Colombia and that in one way or another have become part of the reasons why their link to the professional world has become more difficult. This has enabled a way to identify opportunities for improvement and establish lines of action to promote the professional fast-track development of the new generations in a joint effort between industry and academia.

This article sheds light on the experiences of people waiting for a liver transplant. I argue that waiting lists serve as a technological tool to deal with the uncertainties inherent in medicine, but like Hercules fi ghting Hydra, one tamed uncertainty is merely replaced by two new ones. Drawing on ethnographic material from Germany, I argue that these lists retain those waiting in a temporal limbo of uncertain duration and outcome, making them spatially, temporally and existentially immobile.

The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has posed several challenges to almost every aspect of our lives including the Wills writing industry. Due to this unprecedented phenomenon, over the past few months, processes, laws, and timelines have all been pushed to their limits. There are considerable practical and legal challenges to consider when making a will while social distancing, isolation, or quarantine measures are in place. This article aims to discuss the formalities that need to be complied with in executing a will and challenges in the Malaysian legal context in an era in which social distancing is the new normal. As Malaysian Law operated on parallel legal jurisdiction, this article limits the scope of discussion to the civil legal position impose on the non-Muslim in Malaysia by referring to Wills Act 1959 only. For this purpose, the discussion adopts the doctrinal analysis by examining the existing primary and secondary materials including statutory provisions, case law, and other legal and non-legal literature related to the will execution under civil law applicable to non-Muslim. This article concludes that restrictions on human interaction are challenging for assessing testamentary capacity and witnessing requirements as both of which are required to ensure the validity of Wills. For the time being, it appears that Malaysian law still insists to follow the strict conventional way of wills execution. The legislature should relax some strict requirement in the Wills Act 1959 during the COVID-19 outbreak or similarly exigent circumstances with several safeguards to ensure the validity of the Wills. A technological tool such as electronic signature, remote execution and digital will also good to be considered as an alternative solution in making a valid Will during pandemics.

The paper analyses the possibility to reduce the sensitivity of silicon integrated circuits (ICs) to single radiation effects by means of radiation-thermal treatment including irradiation in charged particle accelerators and subsequent low-temperature heat treatment. It is shown that reduction in sensitivity to single radiation effects is provided by formation of thermostable recombination centers in semiconductor IC structure in necessary concentrations. At the same time a decrease in primary photocurrent generated by heavy charged particles or high-energy protons, reduction in transfer coefficients of parasitic bipolar transistors forming thyristor structures, reduction in carrier avalanche multiplication coefficients at high electric field strengths can be provided. Radiationthermal treatment can be introduced in the manufacturing process of ICs of various classes at the end of the manufacturing cycle and does not require correction of the basic technology. A possible undesirable growth of inverse currents and preservation of values of other electrical parameters within acceptable values when using radiation-thermal treatment is provided by choosing optimal modes of irradiation and annealing which are established in the course of experimental tests. The calculated evaluation has shown that using radiation-thermal treatment in the technology of IC fabrication can provide a decrease in the effective collection length of non-equilibrium charge carriers generated under the influence of single radiation effects by at least 10 times which allows considering radiation-thermal treatment as an effective technological tool to suppress the sensitivity to single radiation effects.
