The statistical correlation was applied to analyze the specific and quantitative correlation relationship between the solidification structure and central segregation along the casting direction in carbon steel billet. On this basis, the segregation formation mechanism of the solute element and related control strategy were investigated. It is found that the equiaxed crystal zone fluctuation along the casting direction determines the fluctuation degree of central segregation. At the same time, the central segregation at a certain position is mostly affected by the equiaxed crystal zone width at the hysteretic position. Moreover, the casting speed can influence the columnar to equiaxed transition (CET) fluctuation along the casting direction by affecting the flow of molten steel in the billet. Overall, the segregation mechanism of solute elements along the casting direction can be summarized into two aspects: First, with the growth of columnar crystals in the initial stage, the segregated solutes are continuously enriched and distributed in the equiaxed crystal zone after CET. The fluctuation of the equiaxed crystal zone will affect the distribution of the enriched solute in the billet and cause the fluctuation of the central segregation. Second, due to the solidification shrinkage at the end of solidification, the solute-enriched liquid phase at the hysteretic position is pumped to the solidification endpoint and forms the central V-shaped segregation. Meanwhile, the stable solidification structure (columnar crystal length or equiaxed crystal zone width) along the casting direction and control measures preceded equiaxed crystal zone formation are beneficial to reduce the central V-shaped segregation.

Given that the traditional methods cannot perform clustering analysis on the Internet financial credit reporting directly and effectively, a kind of precise clustering analysis of internet financial credit reporting dependent on multidimensional attribute sparse large data is proposed. By measuring the overall distance between Internet financial credit reporting through the sparse large data with multidimensional attributes, the multidimensional attribute sparse large data are used to perform clustering analysis on the overall distance matrix and the component approximate distance matrix between the data, respectively. The correlation relationship between the Internet financial credit reporting under these two perspectives is taken into comprehensive consideration. Multidimensional attribute sparse large data pairs are used to reflect the comprehensive relationship matrix of the original Internet financial credit reporting to achieve clustering with relatively high quality. Numerical experiments show that compared with the traditional clustering methods, the method proposed in this paper can not only reflect the overall data features effectively, but also improve the clustering effect of the original Internet financial credit reporting data through the analysis of the correlation relationship between the important component attribute sequences.

Based on cross-correlation algorithm, we analyze the correlation property of warehouse-out quantity of different warehouses, respectively, and different products of each warehouse. Our study identifies that significant cross-correlation relationship for warehouse-out quantity exists among different warehouses and different products of a warehouse. Further, we take multifractal detrended cross-correlation analysis for warehouse-out quantity among different warehouses and different products of a warehouse. The results show that for the warehouse-out behaviors of total amount, different warehouses and different products of a warehouse significantly follow multifractal property. Specifically for each warehouse, the coupling relationships of rebar and wire rod reveal long-term memory characteristics, no matter for large fluctuation or small one. The cross-correlation effect on long-range memory property among warehouses probably has less to do with product types, and the long-term memory of YZ warehouse is greater than others especially in total amount and wire rod product. Finally, we shuffle and surrogate data to explore the source of multifractal cross-correlation property in logistics system. Taking the total amount of warehouse-out quantity as example, we confirm that the fat-tail distribution of warehouse-out quantity sequences is the main factor for multifractal cross-correlation. Through comparing the performance of the multifractal detrended cross-correlation analysis (MF-DCCA), centered multifractal detrending moving average cross-correlation analysis (MF-X-DMA) algorithms, the forward and backward MF-X-DMA algorithms, we find that the forward and backward MF-X-DMA algorithms exhibit a better performance than the other ones.

SenseCam is an effective memory-aid device that can automatically record images and other data from the wearer's whole day. The main issue is that, while SenseCam produces a sizeable collection of images over the time period, the vast quantity of captured data contains a large percentage of routine events, which are of little interest to review. In this article, the aim is to detect "Significant Events" for the wearers. We use several time series analysis methods such as Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (DFA), Eigenvalue dynamics and Wavelet Correlations to analyse the multiple time series generated by the SenseCam. We show that Detrended Fluctuation Analysis exposes a strong long-range correlation relationship in SenseCam collections. Maximum Overlap Discrete Wavelet Transform (MODWT) was used to calculate equal-time Correlation Matrices over different time scales and then explore the granularity of the largest eigenvalue and changes of the ratio of the sub-dominant eigenvalue spectrum dynamics over sliding time windows. By examination of the eigenspectrum, we show that these approaches enable detection of major events in the time SenseCam recording, with MODWT also providing useful insight on details of major events. We suggest that some wavelet scales (e.g., 8 minutes–16 minutes) have the potential to identify distinct events or activities.

The importance of the statistical method is great in the study of natural and economic processes. It is possible to conduct analyzes and obtain results with the help of this method. Sometimes phenomena and processes co-exist and develop interdependently. In this case, it is necessary to determine the relationship between them, to express this relationship. Key words: perfect positive correlation, perfect negative correlation, direction of correlation, degree of correlation, methods of calculating correlation, Spearman᾽s method

The article considers main physical and geographical factors affecting the runoff, spring flood of rivers in the Arpa River basin, and analyzes the regularities of their spacetime distribution. The authors have obtained correlation relationship between the values of the flood runoff layer, the mean module maximum runoff and weighted average height of the catchment area of the Arpa River, between the mean annual maximum runoff module for the period floods and catchment areas of rivers. These dependencies can be used for preliminary estimates of the spring flood runoff of unexplored rivers of the territory under consideration. A close correlation between the values of the annual runoff and the runoff of the spring flood in the section of the Arpa River – Dzhermuk has been also revealed. It can be used for forecasting the annual flow.

The electroencephalography (EEG) microstate has recently emerged as a new whole-brain mapping tool for studying the temporal dynamics of the human brain. Meanwhile, the neuromodulation effect of external stimulation on the human brain is of increasing interest to neuroscientists. Acupuncture, which originated in ancient China, is recognized as an external neuromodulation method with therapeutic effects. Effective acupuncture could elicit the deqi effect, which is a combination of multiple sensations. However, whether the EEG microstate could be used to reveal the neuromodulation effect of acupuncture with deqi remains largely unclear. In this study, multichannel EEG data were recorded from 16 healthy subjects during acupuncture manipulation, as well as during pre- and post-manipulation tactile controls and pre- and post-acupuncture rest controls. As the basic acupuncture unit for regulating the central nervous system, the Hegu acupoint was used in this study, and each subject’s acupuncture deqi behavior scores were collected. To reveal the neuroimaging evidence of acupuncture with deqi, EEG microstate analysis was conducted to obtain the microstate maps and microstate parameters for different conditions. Furthermore, Pearson’s correlation was analyzed to investigate the correlation relationship between microstate parameters and deqi behavioral scores. Results showed that: (1) compared with tactile controls, acupuncture manipulation caused significantly increased deqi behavioral scores. (2) Acupuncture manipulation significantly increased the duration, occurrence, and contribution parameters of microstate C, whereas it decreased those parameters of microstate D. (3) Microstate C’s duration parameter showed a significantly positive correlation with acupuncture deqi behavior scores. (4) Acupuncture manipulation significantly increased the transition probabilities with microstate C as node, whereas it reduced the transition probabilities with microstate D as node. (5) Microstate B→C’s transition probability also showed a significantly positive correlation with acupuncture deqi behavior scores. Taken together, the temporal dynamic feature of EEG microstate could be used as objective neuroimaging evidence to reveal the neuromodulation effect of acupuncture with deqi.

This paper analyzed the influence of dollar on crude oil and gold based on the multifractal detrended partial cross-correlation analysis method. It showed that affected by the dollar, the crude oil and gold markets have a partial cross-correlation relationship which is stronger than their own cross-correlation. The partial cross-correlation is long-term and has multifractal characteristics. Through shuffled and Fourier-phase randomization, it is found that this multifractal feature is caused by the combined effect of the long-term cross-correlation between the returns and the fluctuation fat-tailed distribution, where the influence of the fat-tailed distribution is slightly greater than that of the long-term cross-correlation between the returns.
