Psychological barriers are one of the most common problems facing individuals nowadays due to everyday life pressures. The current research aimed at identifying the extent to which psychological barriers contribute to predicting the perceived cognitive load of blackboard e-learning management system users. The research sample comprised (240) male and female among the University Students. The descriptive-analytical approach, specifically the predictive correlative research method was utilized to reveal the relationship between the research variables. The research main results revealed that there was a statistically significant correlative positive relationship between the psychological barriers and the cognitive load (intrinsic, extraneous, and the overall degree), and there was no statistically correlative relationship between psychological barriers and the Germane cognitive load. Besides, results concluded that the external psychological barriers were better at predicting the overall degree of the perceived cognitive load. Psychological barriers and cognitive load must be considered within the e-learning settings through making use of the results of the current study in developing training and counseling programs to reduce the students' psychological barriers and cognitive load levels.   Keywords: psychological barriers; cognitive load; Blackboard system

Abstact. Although it is generally known that M.M. Bakhtin viewed himself as primarily a philosopher and not a philologist, the overwhelming majority of studies of his work belong to literary criticism. The purpose of this article, relying on the oral testimony of Bakhtin himself and his philosophical texts written in the Nevel-Vitebsk period (1919-1924), is to restore the origin of his philosophical sources and the content of his philosophical ideas of this period. The main idea is the concept of moral philosophy as a philosophical system, whose main subject is participative thinking and an answerable act as an event of being. One of the most important sources of these ideas was probably the philosophy of Neo-Kantianism represented by the teachings of H. Cohen. The article provides four examples of Bakhtin's continuity in relation to the Marburg philosopher - the idea of an answerable act concerning another person as the source of a human's self-consciousness and personal integrity, the idea of a correlative relationship between a person and his neighbor as an expression of a caring participatory being, the idea of distinguishing a moral attitude from an ethical-legal one and the idea of the philosophical system, whose subject is the process of interpersonal relations. In this case, the system consists not only in the integrity of the object but also in its openness. Revealing the continuity of Bakhtin's philosophical ideas regarding Cohen leads to a better understanding of these ideas and Bakhtin's originality of their development. It is also fruitful to compare the perception of Cohen's ideas by Bakhtin and their reception by another philosopher of dialogue, F. Rosenzweig.

The present multidisciplinary theoretical article develops its focal line of argument gradually. At first, feminist and narrative theory are consulted; after that, some treatments in the philosophy of mind are discussed. The latter’s correlative relationship with the recent “materialist turn” in philosophy affords to propose a tentative alternative to the current and universally accepted approaches to the (fictional) character much indebted to philosophical idealism. This latter observation also determines the broad – some might argue seemingly overtly complicated – theoretical reach of the article. However, its timely point of departure – the online misogynistic abuse in fan discussions directed at Breaking Bad’s Skyler White and the actress Anna Gunn –, enables to cast the issue of character engagement in necessarily broad terms, disciplinarily speaking. Be it in the context of different scientific disciplines or as the crucial vertebra connecting them, whilst also suggesting far-reaching philosophical implications. This kind of engagement, and especially its expression in online discourse, provides an impetus to inquire about the peculiarities of the human mind and the operation of human thought. Therefore, the present article zooms in on the conventionally understood binary relationship between “fiction” and “reality”, sketching appropriate terminology (continuance, narrative person, realitization) and theoretical framework (inspired, in part, by the Soviet school of philosophical Activity Theory) to help explain the human proclivity to treat characters in naïve realist terms, i.e., as real people. The central research question is as follows: what kind of ramifications can be detected for the conceptualization of character (and narrative) engagement from a particular kind of value-laden reception (like the forms of digital misogyny that emerged in the context of Breaking Bad’s reception)?

The current study aimed to identify the relationship between psychological barriers and the cognitive load among Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University students who use the e-learning management system (BlackBoard) and to identifying the extent to which psychological barriers degrees contribute in predicting the degrees of perceived cognitive load, For data collection, the analytical descriptive approach was used the researchers applied the psychological barriers scale and the perceived cognitive load scale prepared by the researchers. Results revealed the following: There was a statistically significant positive correlative relationship between the psychological barriers, its' dimensions, the intrinsic, the extraneous perceived cognitive load and the total degree of cognitive load of university students, while there was no correlative relationship between psychological barriers, its' dimensions and the Germane perceived cognitive load of university students. The second axis (the external psychological barriers) was better in predicting the overall degree of perceived cognitive load, and that the arrangement of the sub-dimensions of external psychological barriers in terms of their ability to predict the overall degree of the perceived cognitive load was in the following order: realizing rumors, fear of negative evaluation, and expecting failure. There were no statistically significant differences between male and female university students and between the scientific and literary disciplines in psychological barriers and their dimensions, there were statistically significant differences between male and female university students in intrinsic, extraneous cognitive load and the overall degree in favor of female students. And there were differences between the scientific and literary disciplines in the intrinsic and extraneous perceived cognitive load, and the overall degree of the cognitive load in favor of the literary disciplines. there were no differences between male and female students and between the scientific and literary disciplines in Germane cognitive load.

From the standpoint of biocultural co-constructivism methodology, the article analyzes the phenomenon of musicality, which is understood as a set of intonation-rhythmic patterns that can act as predictors of a number of cognitive traits already in the process of neurogenesis. The authors claim that this phenomenon has the status of a universal of human existence, which is an integral neurophysiological factor in the formation of analytical, verbal-logical and linguistic components of reasoning. Analysis of the numerical nature of the rhythmic component of innate ontogenetic structures makes it possible to show the general points of growth of artistic, proto-mathematical and mathematical cognitive abilities in the process of ontogenesis. It is shown that synchronization, expressed in resonance (or asynchronization) of mental processes at the level of neural systems in which ideas about beauty are genetically “tuned”, is associated with the status of the golden ratio and Fibonacci numbers. The processes of synchronization can be assessed as indicators of the harmonious relationships of nature, humans, and particular features of cognitive potential, aesthetic perception, and the formation of musical tastes. This may be considered as an argument in favor of the numerical nature of music being a relatively autonomous cognitive activity in the process of self-organization of mental systems, in the field of which the functional and structural patterns of the golden ratio play the role of the fundamental creative and hedonistic components. The article substantiates the correlative relationship between harmony and the golden ration in the context of the search for factors of optimality for the functioning of physiological parameters of living systems. The nature of this relationship speaks in favor of the conceptual enrichment of methodology in the field of modern cognitive research, which is associated with a revision of the reductionist type of fundamental concepts and attitudes towards holism, the ratio of the intuitive and discursive components of the cognitive process.

The work discusses a correlative relationship between the notions of the personal and the private in the context of biblical psalmist’s piety. Elements of anthropology (heart, soul, face) will obtain considerable importance, particularly the ideas of face and soul (פנה and נפש). These will be corresponding to the Greek idea of προσοπων (prosopon), person. The authors will insist on the distinction between the ideas of personal and private, but they will also recognize the interdependence of these ideas, in recognition that the individual and the societal, are both contributions in the building of the subject as the self. In Paul’s Hymn to Love (1 Cor. 13) the complementary nature between the personal and the private is evident. There we find both passive and active subject’s role claiming this double aspect of the human subject - personal and private. Discussion in this work follows long-term debates over the nature of the subject, its personality, and its privacy.
