The pandemic crisis has forced the development of teaching and evaluation activities exclusively online. In this context, the emergency remote teaching (ERT) process, which raised a multitude of problems for institutions, teachers, and students, led the authors to consider it important to design a model for evaluating teaching and evaluation processes. The study objective presented in this paper was to develop a model for the evaluation system called the learning analytics and evaluation model (LAEM). We also validated a software instrument we designed called the EvalMathI system, which is to be used in the evaluation system and was developed and tested during the pandemic. The optimization of the evaluation process was accomplished by including and integrating the dashboard model in a responsive panel. With the dashboard from EvalMathI, six online courses were monitored in the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic years, and for each of the six monitored courses, the evaluation of the curricula was performed through the analyzed parameters by highlighting the percentage achieved by each course on various components, such as content, adaptability, skills, and involvement. In addition, after collecting the data through interview guides, the authors were able to determine the extent to which online education during the COVID 19 pandemic has influenced the educational process. Through the developed model, the authors also found software tools to solve some of the problems raised by teaching and evaluation in the ERT environment.

A descriptive-correlational research was conducted to determine the extent educational managers in the four state universities in Panay Island portrayed their leadership roles and management practices and its relationship to teachers’ and students’ performance. Ninety three respondents were classified according to highest educational attainment, position occupied, and length of experience. Questionnaire was used to gather data and Performance Evaluation System (PES) of teachers and passing percentage in Board Examination for students’ performance. Results were interpreted at 5% level of significance using One-Way Analysis of Variance and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. Descriptive data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, weighted mean, and standard deviation. Results showed that majority were doctorate degree holders, first-line managers, and serve their positions for less than ten years. Leadership roles and management practices were rated “to a very large extent.” Only management practices in physical facilities development performed “to a large extent” were although when taken as a whole in the five years of concern were performed they “to a very large extent.” Teachers’ performance mostly rated Outstanding and a lesser number was rated Very Satisfactory. The passing percentage above the national passing set was by the Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC). Leadership roles significantly affect teachers’ performance and only leadership and human resource development were related to teachers’ performance. Leadership roles and management practices were not related to students’ performance except in physical facilities development. Only educational attainment was found significantly correlated to teachers’ performance but not to students’ performance.

The teaching quality information system is,based on our school management practice,an integrated management information system for the entire school teachers and students, which takes the advanced design concepts and development technique to set the evaluation system. This paper, taking the object-oriented thought and the unified modeling language as the analysis and design tool, makes the requirement analysis and system design of the relevant business management process according to the characteristics of system and the users, which takes two kinds of framework modes in form, B/S and C/S. At present, the system has been running in our university and achieved good results.

In digital media area, exchange and evaluation of the animation works has become a prominent problem. In this paper, we develop an intelligent evaluation system of animation works based on E-learning portfolio, which can record students animation works and learning files in digitized form. It achieves a combination of quantitative evaluation and qualitative evaluation using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and artificial intelligence technology. It can not only generate the scores, but also generate remarks automatically. This will facilitate teachers and students to exchange and evaluate animation works, and improve the quality of evaluation.

The modern concept of a curriculum originally derived from the Latin word for a race course. Undergraduate medical education is part of a continuum of education and training. The new curriculum is structured to provide a balance among learning opportunities through integrated teaching system.  This study was carried out to explore the views of teachers and students regarding the current undergraduate medical curriculum.  This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted between October 2019 to October 2020 among the teachers and students of a private medical college and hospital (MH Samorita medical collegesandhospital) in Dhaka Bangladesh. The sample size were 100 in total.  Most of the participants suggested for changes in overall existing MBBS curriculum. Highest satisfaction was seen in content related to learning objectives that were 90% and highest dissatisfaction was seen in Phase distribution of subjects that were 89%.However, they were satisfied with present pattern of course content, objectives, evaluation system and carry on system. Teachers and students evaluation may prove useful if analyzed further to overcome the shortcomings of existing MBBS curriculum. Bangladesh Journal of Medical Education Vol.13(1) January 2022: 27-32

The comprehensive and scientific evaluation of college English teaching in online mode is an important basis for further promoting and optimizing the pragmatic reform of college English teaching. Based on the operational principle, the principle of service to students, and the feasibility principle, this study aims to construct a multiple evaluation system of online college English teaching based on three aspects: online interaction, online autonomous learning, and English online practice. A questionnaire has been conducted among undergraduates, teachers, and experts. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) has been used to analyze the relative importance of the indicators at the first two levels in the multiple evaluation system. The results revealed that the weight coefficients of teacher-student interaction, learning resources, and English listening practice are higher, while those of learning freedom and oral English practice are lower. Therefore, the online college English teaching reform should take the following measures: equipment input of college English practice teaching should be reinforced, communication channels between teachers and students should be strengthened, and online teaching resources should be enriched.

Abstract Since China’s reform and opening up, foreign language teaching(hereafter: FLT) in China has achieved rapid development under the guidance of foreign language teaching theories at home and abroad. However, problems such as ‘time-consuming and inefficient foreign language learning’ and ‘dumb foreign languages’ in FLT in China have not been fundamentally solved. Based on Whitehead’s process philosophy, this research aims to put forward feasible solutions to the existing problems in FLT in China in order that the level of FLT in China can be promoted by discussing the purpose, contents, processes and stages of FLT, the relationship between teachers and students in FLT and FLT evaluation system.

A clinical teacher has dual roles to perform in undergraduate medical education along with a major role as patient management. But these roles are not clearly recognized by them. That's why views of clinical teachers and students about roles performed by clinical teachers in undergraduate medical education were studied in eight different government and private medical colleges within and outside Dhaka city. Two sets of questionnaires were developed for teachers and students to explore their views on roles performed by teachers. Total 671 clinical students and 88 clinical teachers having at least two years teaching experience were included. Convenient sampling techniques were used. Seven major roles of clinical teachers were taken into consideration against which teachers and students were expressed their views. Roles were 1. Information provider in the class 2. Role model for the students 3. Students facilitator 4. Curriculum executor. 5. Instructional material creator 6.Student's assessor and 7. Role of teachers on research activities. In this study 52.27% teachers had experience on workshop and training on teaching methodology and 38.82 % had no experience on teaching and learning. Teachers expressed their views against their performances of all the roles for more than two third classes. While students viewed against teachers performances in less than a half of the classes. Teachers mentioned that excess clinical load, administrative work and bad political environment hampered their teaching roles. They also suggested that different courses on teaching and learning, teacher's evaluation system and regular faculty development programme would help to improve in clinical teaching.Bangladesh Journal of Medical Education Vol.6(1) 2015: 19-23
