Cow manure can be used for making organic fertilizer because it contains nutrients such as Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K). Rice straw has a high C-Organic content. Adding straw compost will increase soil organic matter content. The study aims to determine the fermentation process that occurs so as to produce organic fertilize, know the effect of fermentation time and the effect of the composition of raw materials for cow manure and rice straw on the process of making organic fertilizer to the content of organic fertilizer according to SNI 7603 : 2018. The method use by aerobic fermentation is by mixing cow manure and rice straw and M-Dec bioactivators by comparison 3 : 1, 2 : 2,1 : 3 and fermentation time 7, 14, 21, 28 days. The parameters tested are C-organic, Nitrogen (N), C/N ratio, Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K). The best quality organic fertilizer in the treatment of cow manure : rice straw with a ratio of 2 : 2 on the 28th day fermentation process namely C-organic content 34,63 %, C/N ratio is 25, macro nutrient content N+P2O5+K2O of 3,14 % that has met SNI 7763 : 2018. Keyword: M-Dec bioactivator, aerobic fermentation, cow manure, rice straw, C/N ratio

The degradation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in sludge in aerobic fermentation process is affected by many factors, and the pile body pH value is one of the important factors. Through the test of mixing lime pile body regulating pH value (7.7, 8.2, 9), the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon degradation effect was researched under the different pH conditions and the same of the other aerobic fermentation conditions. The results showed that, pH=7.7 test device (not mixing lime ) on PAHs degradation effect was best, worst was the pH=8.2 test device, the sludge degradation of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons effect is negative effect.

Utilization of distilled patchouli waste is still very limited, so to optimize it, research is carried out on the manufacture of granule compost from patchouli solid waste trough 3 stages of activity. First aerobic fermentation process of Aceh Jaya patchouli solid waste with variations in the ratio of patchouli solid waste and tofu industrial liquid waste used, namely 1:1; 1:3; and 1:5 then the ratio between waste and bioactivator EM4 is 1:3%; 1:5%; and 1:7%. The second process of Enrico-Fermi fertilizer granulation using granule adhesive, namely tapioca flour with the ratio between Enrico-Fermi fertilizer and adhesive material is 2:1. The three processes of testing the Enrico-Fermi material on patchouli plant growth. The results showed that the highest NPK content in the Enrico-Fermi fertilizer was obtained at the ratio between patchouli waste and tofu liquid waste, namely 1:3 and the addition of EM4 with 7% EM-4 concentrations, namely 5.83% nitrogen, 1.91% phosphorus. and 3.46% potassium. The yield of Enrico-Fermi granule fertilizer was 71.43%. The response of plants to Enrico-Fermi fertilizer resulted in an increase in plant stem height of 5.7 cm, 16 leaves and 3 branches.

Many kinds of surfactants have been used for several applications, which are mostly chemically synthesized from petrochemicals.   However, those surfactants are toxic and have seriously negative impact on the environment.  Pseudomonas aeruginosa is Gram-negative bacteria that can produce glycolipid bio-surfactant, which is named rhamnolipid.  Such bacteria can use several kinds of substrate to produce the bio-surfactants including glucose, mannose, glycerol, ethanol, palmitic acid and hydrocarbon such as hexadecane.  In this research the possibility of P. aeruginose isolated from clinical waste to use sugar cane molasses to produce rhamnolipid is examined.  In addition, a strategy to overcome foaming problem arising in the aerobic fermentation process using anaerobic fermentation in denitrification medium is also investigated.  From the experiment, molasses can be used by the bacteria to produce rhamnolipid.  The result shows higher biomass growth and production yield of rhamnolipid for aerobic fermentation than for anaerobic fermentation.  The concentration of rhamnolipid produced can reach up to 326 ppm for aerobic fermentation and 186 ppm for anaerobic fermentation.

Arjowilangun Village is a post-TKI village. People choose to become sheep farmers with less capital than being cattle farmers. Based on the previous discussion, waste management is required to ensure the sustainability of environment in Arjowilangun Village. Processing sheep and agricultural waste program is held by Doktor Mengabdi team. Farmers can learn how to make Bokashi from waste. The method used is composting aerobic or anaerobic starters for composting organic material. A decomposer as collection of several good microbes from fungi work to control pathogenic microbes assists the fermentation process. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test during the training, it can be showed that understanding of the breeders' potential of the environment is increased.

Natural gas is a source of energy that comes from the earth which is depleting every day, an alternative source of energy is needed and one of the sources comes from biogas. There is an abundance of empty fruit bunch (EFB) that comes from palm oil plantation that can become a substrate for biogas production. A methodology of fermentation based on Verein Deutscher Ingenieure was used to utilize EFB as a substrate to produce biogas using biogas sludge and wastewater sludge as inoculum in wet fermentation process under mesophilic condition. Another optimization was done by adding a different water ratio to the inoculum mixture. In 20 days, an average of 6gr from 150gr of total EFB used in each sample was consumed by the microbes. The best result from 20 days of experiment with both biogas sludge and wastewater sludge as inoculum were the one added with 150gr of water that produced 2910ml and 2185ml of gas respectively. The highest CH 4 produced achieved from biogas sludge and wastewater sludge with an addition of 150gr of water to the inoculum were 27% and 22% CH 4 respectively. This shows that biogas sludge is better in term of volume of gas that is produced and CH percentage.
