The article focuses on the problem of psychological support of parents whose children were born prematurely. Theoretical approaches to psychological assistance to such parents, psycho-emotional support of families are analyzed. The idea of the relationship between the harmonious development of the child and well-being in the family, a sense of security, support and security is considered. Ways of medical and psychological support, increase of psychological adaptive resource of parents are analyzed. The necessity of psychological support of parents and development of new ways of intrafamily interaction is discussed. It is analyzed that timely family care can not only effectively optimize the personal development of the child, but also help to eliminate psychological problems in adults. Along with experimental research programs, some schemes and approaches to psychological counseling of such families are also being developed. In this context, the work of a psychologist plays an extremely important role, helping parents to overcome despair and fear, promotes the creative search for new ways and opportunities for child development, the formation of new life goals in her parents. In the article notes that the psychological support of parents of premature babies may have the following features: family research, which includes studying the functioning of the family and its hidden resources, obtaining information about its social and financial situation, analysis of the primary needs of parents and children; establishing contact, motivating to cooperate; assessment of possible specific ways of psychological and pedagogical assistance; choice of directions of work depending on results of diagnostics; work of specialists aimed at psychological and pedagogical assistance to the family, to activate the social position of parents, to find their own family rehabilitation resources and opportunities.

Spirituality refers to the search for and experiential elements of the sacred, ultimate meaning, higher-consciousness, and transcendence (Friedman and MacDonald, 2002). Emmons (2000) argued that spirituality can be viewed as a form of intelligence because it predicts functioning and offers capabilities that enable people to solve problems and attain valuable goals. In other words, spirituality is based on abilities that produce valuable outcomes. Research suggests a positive relationship between spirituality, life purpose and satisfaction, health, and family well-being. Family life is supposed to be about forming persons– parents and children growing together, learning from each other, supporting one another, in living out a shared mission and goals – all of which has to do with spirituality. Without a strong sense of spiritual well-being, families too easily become mere collections of individuals living under the same roof. Fostering our family's spiritual well-being is what enables us to be more than a bunch of people sharing a room but feeling lonely just the same. It is what enables us to celebrate the love that comes from God's own heart, and discover–as a family– all the ways that life is a gift, and to help each other become everything God created us to be. The present article earnestly attempts to explore how spirituality enhances physical and mental health of the family members, thereby promoting family well-being.

Care for the well-being of the youngest family members is one of the main goals of the legislator. A properly functioning family does not require an interference of the officials as long as it does not deviate from the generally accepted standards. However, if such a situation occurs, it is necessary to undertake legal mechanisms aimed at restoring the proper functioning of the family. Consequently, various branches of the law regulate instruments to help the family overcome the crisis. The article presents selected areas of civil law child protection referring to such issues as prohibition of using corporal punishment against a minor and the consequences of its violation, other forms of abusing parental authority, as well as the regulation of certain relations between parents and children.

Research has suggested that social networks are important resources for children as well as for adults to resist health problems. For asylum seeking children social networking might be hard to accomplish due to constraints linked to social and legal contexts in the host country. Constraints can also be linked to the family situation and the circumstances they have to cope with in everyday life. The situation of parents, in particular mothers, is important for the coping of children. The over arching research objective is to identify factors that are important for well being of children seeking asylum and to study how they cope with their experiences as asylum seekers. The tension between excluding experiences and expectations regarding how the situation of the child and it's family should improve or deteriorate after the flight is for a child a constitutive reference for how coping strategies are developed. In the analysis I draw on theoretical concepts of resilience, social capital, trust and social recognition. This paper draws on results from an interdisciplinary research project Asylum-seeking children's welfare, health and well-being. Gothenburg Research on Asylum seeking Children in Europe (GRACE), Goteborg University and Nordic School of Public Health, Gothenburg. The study was financed by the European Refugee Fund. The empirical data are based on qualitative interviews with parents and children who have waited for decisions regarding permanent residence for several months and sometimes more than a year.

In the modern society, with this fast growing technical progress, there are lots of changes in the social relationships between people, the psychological rules in the society are broken. The relationship between parents and children is changing, and the role of the family as one of the most important institutions of socialization is becoming increasingly less than before. Concerned about economic survival and well-being, parents put in the background the communication and upbringing of their children or leave this obligation to the teachers, but they forget that the parent is the first teacher of the children, they are the ones who influence children`s values and way of thinking, they are their role model. For this reason, the kindergarten, as the first social institution outside of home, has the responsibility to create effective, real, scientifically based interaction with the family. Although the family and the kindergarten are two systems, different in structure and methods of pedagogical interaction, they are closely connected in a common goal – raising and educating children and should not be against each other. This article present a model for improving the social and pedagogical relationships between the family and kindergarten.

This chapter considers familial relationships as obstacles to the realization of egalitarian ideals. It has been argued that the conflict between the family and equality is in fact much less stark than is commonly recognized. Parents and children can enjoy healthy familial relationships, and parents can exercise all the rights needed for those relationships to make their distinctive contribution to well-being, without our having to tolerate anything like the kinds of inequalities of opportunity to which familial interactions currently give rise. This argument, however, still has family values on one side of the line and distributive considerations on the other. The chapter suggests the former be incorporated into the latter, as it were, by treating familial relationship goods as distribuenda: that is, as among the goods that people should have opportunities, perhaps equal opportunities, for.

The changes in digitalized society are reflected in the family and school environment. Nowadays children are characterized as “Homo zappiens” (Veen & Vrakking, 2011) or “digi” generation (Gold, 2016) because they are growing up using modern technology (mobile phone, computer, iPod etc.) since early childhood. The use of new communication technologies by children induced major changes in play, learning and parenting. They learn and play in a global and digital culture. This could lead to huge discrepancies between generations, especially between parents and children, children and educators. This is because homo zappiens are digital, whereas parents are analogous sometimes. If we add to these characteristics of society the values that dominate postmodernism (hedonism, individualism etc.) we will have a clearer picture of the challenges of education today and especially, in parenting. We need to redefine the children-parents-educators relationship through a new set of criteria. Wellbeing is an important aspect of the family environment which determinates school integration and success. This article focuses on research in parents` perception regarding the parenting in digitalized society and children`s wellbeing. The research was embedded in a constructivist-interpretivist paradigm, which employed both quantitative and qualitative methods for data collection. This study included a number of 100 participants, children and their parents. Conclusion: The parents need to develop a new mind, set on children`s wellbeing and rethinking the parenting in digitalized society. A training program for parents must be a solution for develop children`s well-being at home as a condition for school.

Kehamilan remaja adalah kehamilan yang terjadi pada remaja berusia kurang dari 20 tahunan. Kehamilan remaja memberikan banyak kerugian bagi kesehatan, mental dan psikologis, kesejahteraan ekonomi dan peluang karier, kemiskinan dan prospek kehidupan masa depan remaja. Tujuan penelitian mengidentifikasi faktor determinan yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya kehamilan remaja. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian analitik kategorik jenis survei kuantitatif dengan desain case control. Populasi semua perempuan yang bertempat tinggal di wilayah dusun Wonosari, Sukosari, dan Krajan Pandansari dan pernah/sedang hamil pertama kali pada usia kurang dari 20 tahun. Teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling besar sampel 73. Berdasarkan hasil model akhir analisis multivariat, diketahui bahwa variabel pendidikan, riwayat kehamilan remaja pada keluarga dan usia menikah merupakan variabel yang berhubungan dengan kejadian kehamilan remaja setelah dikontrol oleh variabel akses informasi, responden berpendidikan rendah memiliki peluang 20,8 kali lebih tinggi, responden yang memiliki riwayat kehamilan remaja pada keluarga memiliki peluang 14,9 kali lebih tinggi, responden yang menikah pada usia <20 tahun memiliki peluang 12,1 kali lebih tinggi, responden dengan pemahaman yang kurang baik terkait penggunaan kondom memiliki peluang 5,9 kali lebih tinggi untuk terjadi kehamilan remaja. Oleh karena itu perlu dibangun karakter buiding, sosial karakter suport untuk para ibu remaja dan keluarga sehingga terbangun interaksi yang baik dalam keluarga yang dilandasi dengan pendidikan dan pemahaman yang baik tentang Pendidikan seksualitas. Teen pregnancy is a pregnancy that occurs in adolescents aged less than 20 years old. Teen pregnancy provides many disadvantages for health, mental, psychological, economic well-being, career opportunities, poverty, and the future life. The aim of the study was to identify the determinants underlying teen pregnancy incidence. This study was a quantitative study with categorical analytic method. The study design used a case control with two comparison groups. The groups were control group and case group. The population in this study was all women who lived in the Wonosari, Sukosari, and Krajan Pandansari district and had or were pregnant for the first time at the age of less than 20 years old. Seventy three respondents were recruited using cluster sampling technique. The case group consists of women who were or had pregnant for the first time at the age of less than 20 years old and their children are currently aged ≤ 1 years old. The control group consists of women who were pregnant for the first time at the age of > 20 years old. The data was collected using a questionnaire. The findings showed that education, history of teen pregnancy in family and the age of marriage were related to the incidence of teen pregnancy after being controlled by information access. Low-educated respondents had 20.8 times higher chance of experiencing teen pregnancy; respondents with a history of teen pregnancy in the family had 4.9 times higher chance of experiencing teen pregnancy; respondents who were married at the age of < 20 years old had 12.1 times higher chance of experiencing teen pregnancy; respondents with poor understanding of condom use had 5.9 times higher chance of teenage pregnancy. In conclusion, the findings suggest to build good interactions in the family based on education and a good understanding of sex education.

Intensified anxiety responses and even symptoms of post-traumatic stress are commonly observed under quarantine conditions. In this study, the effects on fear, anxiety and wellbeing of the recent pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 were investigated in a sample of otherwise healthy Hungarians. Taking the family as a microsystem, differences in gender, age, family relationships and time spent in isolation were the main focus of this investigation. 346 parent-child dyads were examined; the children were 11-17 years of age. Standard psychological questionnaires (Perceived Stress Scale, WHO Wellbeing Index), and an open question test (the Metamorphosis test) were used, and the results analysed with the aid of basic statistical methods. Stress levels and wellbeing displayed a significant negative correlation with each other in both parents and children. Parental stress and levels of wellbeing had a weak but significant impact on the wellbeing of their children. Among the demographic variables examined, none of them was found to explain the wellbeing or stress level of parents. Natural catastrophes, such as pandemics, create a stressful social environment for parents, and therefore directly impact the psychological wellbeing of all family members.
