Traditionally, architecture design studio requires few exercises per semester for students to practice design method and develop design thinking. As design exercises often direct design approach and also establish expectation of outcome, there is no guaranty procedure or design method to follow in order to achieve the best outcome. Since design development heavily based on experience of operation and choice of approach, sensible thinking process is often involved and sets challenge for rational architectural pedagogy. This research aims to exam the design thinking process of students by setting up specific design exercise to avoid predictable operation process, in order to direct specific design approach according to established guidance for further development.

Abstract—In this study the research design development has been carried out by changing the radiating element field width. Radiating element field extension was administered by simulating it and trying to measure the value one by one in antenna simulator software. The radiating element widening was administered so that the resulting bandwidth could be greater. After changing the width of the field, an element radiating field length adjustment was administered to adjust the operating frequency used in Indonesia. After the design worked at the desired frequency and produced a desired bandwidth, antenna fabrication was administered and its results was tested using Mini VNA Tiny to find out the antenna value if mass produced.

On March 7, 1960 in Houston, Texas at the Joint Conference of the Gas Turbine Power and Hydraulic Divisions of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, a symposium was held on the topic of compressor stall, surge and system response. The purpose of the symposium was to afford an opportunity for exchange of information among workers in the areas of research, design, development and application of axial and centrifugal compressors. Emphasis was laid on overall rather than detailed aspects of the problem, considered from both theoretical and applied viewpoints.

This study aims to determine and test the feasibility of a teaching materials module based on Contextual Learning in Vertebrate Zoology courses in the learning process in Biology Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of Islam Riau Year 2015-2016. This research uses ADDIE model as research design consisting of five stages; Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. But the research design only test on the feasibility of the module so that this research only through three stages of Analysis, Design, Development. The selection of subjects is determined from the total of students who take the Vertebrate Zoology course as many as 195 people then selected by Random Sampling of 45 people. This is because the subject and the subject character are the same. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. The results of the research show at the Analysis stage; there needs to be a more interesting learning innovation, so that students are more active in constructing their knowledge through more relevant learning resources. Next at Design stage; the requirements of the design stage are adjusted to the steps already described in the RPS (Semester Course Plan). At Development stage; the results of the validation of materials experts by 80% with the criteria module feasible to use, the material expert judgment of 82% with the criteria module feasible to use, and student ratings states the module appeals to students with 90% percentage (very worthy to use). So it can be concluded that the learning process associated with constructing the pemahan students is not only limited to the exposure of the material, but also reflects the activities and learning activities that must be done. so students can explore the source of learning by building their knowledge through direct interaction with the experience and environment. Keywords: Development Module, Contextual Learning, Vertebrate Zoology.

Research indicates that appropriately designed educational interventions may impact positively on moral reasoning competencies development (MRCD) as measured by a psychometric measure known as the Defining Issues Test (DIT). However, findings include that educational interventions intended to impact on MRCD do not consistently promote measurable pre-post development. This paper reviews the theoretical background to the use of educational interventions to impact on MRCD, and spotlights how underpinning Neo-Kohlbergian theory might inform the design of an intervention in order to optimise impact on MRCD. Findings indicate that peer debate - regarding ethical concepts in profession-specific dilemma scenarios, what action(s) might be taken and how ‘less than ideal’ action options might be justified - is essential. Five examples of an adapted format of ‘Neo-Kohlbergian’ profession-specific ‘intermediate concept measures’ (ICMs) are included and were integrated into a 16 week blended learning educational intervention in a manner that promoted repeated exposure to peer debate regarding dilemmas, and the educational intervention design was trialled in a study with 27 volunteer community pharmacists in Ireland. An overview of the design, development and delivery of the intervention is provided. The paper concludes with recommendations for further development of the ‘idea’. Literature about design development and the current situation of the essence of trends in this field allow for the defining of design as an independent branch. Analysis of design and education regulations highlights the conflict between reality and gaps that exist in European statistical standards and International Standard Classification of Education. The purpose of this study is to explore complex problems in the field of design and design education which determines the need for Paradigm Shift for further development of these branches, as well as to present proposals for definitions of key terms of design and offer proposals for a new design education classification. This research will show why, and will mark how design needs to be classified individually, and not as a part of visual arts.

The article is devoted to the main issues of environmental design development as an academic and scientific discipline. The author analyzes the place of the "environmental design" specialty in the educational systems of various countries, in particular, Russia and China. It is pointed out, that only in these countries the subject under study belongs to the field of education in the sphere of art and culture. That forms some features of students’ training, as well as in the methodology, goals and content of environmental design as a scientific field. This work studies the problems that arise in the process of training specialists and of their subsequent employment in Russia and in China. In particular, the author notes that there is an equation of the concepts of "environmental design" and "environmental approach" in Russia, which leads to misunderstanding of the theoretical boundaries of environmental design. In the article these two concepts are distinguished. Examining environmental design through the prism of the Ervin Laszlo’s "grand synthesis" theory, the author concludes that environmental design is a complex discipline, which synthesizes different scientific fields, and can have further dynamics in the development. Environmental design is presented as a field of activity that combines economic and cultural aspects within the framework of creative work. Due to the specificity of environmental design, as well as to the desire of Russia and China to increase cultural capital, this discipline has prospects for expanding the field of research in future. Also, the article highlights three possible directions for further development of environment design, including architectural, landscape and exhibition approaches.

Autonomous learning has an important role in online learning because teachers cannot directly supervise the student learning process, which makes students themselves responsible for their learning. As an attempt to provide teachers with an alternative autonomous learning medium, this study aimed to use a chatbot-based Japanese grammar learning application namely Gengobot as an autonomous Japanese learning medium. This study applied Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) instructional design model. The data of this research was collected using a pre-experimental method and distributed a Likert scale questionnaire to 50 Japanese language learners with Japanese language levels equivalent to or less than JLPT level N3. The results showed that Gengobot as a chatbot-based Japanese grammar learning medium is an interesting and innovative medium to support Japanese autonomous learning because learners can decide how they learn using this application to improve their Japanese grammar skills. In addition, Gengobot is a chatbot-based learning medium that is more interactive than other Mobile-based media, which makes learners more interested in using Gengobot as a Japanese grammar learning medium. However, Gengobot still needs further development such as adding advanced grammar content (N2 and N1), adding Japanese pronunciation features (audio), etc.
