Abstract This paper presents a natural gas supply system of a locality. Since power consumption is nonstationary, for supplying the consumption peaks it is used a gas deposit kept in a pipeline built near the locality. The viability of this solution was demonstrated by simulation with the numerical simulator SIMONE.

In this paper, according to research difficulties of rebuilding underground natural gas storages from carbonate buried hill gas reservoirs, we select a variety of relevant technologies and methods to study. Considering the reservoir geologic features geology, the impact of water intrusion, the difference of reserve calculations and many other factors, we carry out the research and determine the key parameters of rebuilding underground natural gas storages, and finally get a reasonable understanding of the study. Upon completion of large-scale gas storage for research results, further to form the distinctive key technologies of rebuilding underground natural gas storages from carbonate buried hill gas reservoirs. The research results will provide the appropriate technical reference for similar future rebuilding underground gas storages and also provide the technical assurance for a safe and stable gas supply to Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei region.

A significant role in ensuring the reliability of gas supply is played by underground gas storages, which are the most cost-effective objects for reserving natural gas. With all the originality of solving the issues of gas supply reliability by constructing underground gas storage in depleted gas condensate, gas and oil fields and aquifers, which are traditional methods, the absence of such geological conditions necessitates searching for other, unconventional methods of creating underground gas storages.

This article considers different variants of natural gas supply in Ukraine which are based on the main tendencies of natural gas regional markets and some important factors, such as: possibility to use natural gas storage system, different changes in government regulation and innovations in the energy generation and supply sphere. The purpose of this work is to substantiate the current gas supply strategy in Ukraine on the basis of quantitative methods. The main results of the article are: Numerical estimation of the positive effect, gained from the using of natural gas storage system; Numerical estimation of the positive effect from the diversification of the natural gas supply in Ukraine in terms of decreasing the potential role of Gazprom monopoly. The population response evaluation on the gas price rising. This article provides an effective tool for assessing the possible consequences of decisions of state bodies when moving away from the existing monopoly of gas supply system and the macroeconomic effect of different gas supply options. The quantitative assessment of the gradual convergence of regional markets and the creation of a global natural gas market is proposed

Natural gas as a clean energy, its extensive use can alleviate energy crisis and environmental pollution and other problems. The storage and transportation of natural gas are of great significance to the standard use of natural gas. Suqiao gas storage reservoir is responsible for seasonal peak adjustment and emergency gas supply in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and the corrosion of tubular goods is the most important issue. In this paper, the tubing composition analysis, metallographic structure analysis, mechanical property analysis, simulated corrosion test, corrosion morphology, and product analysis were carried out to analyze and study the corrosion behavior under the conditions, and suggestions were put forward to control the corrosion of the outer surface of the tubing.

The issue of diversification and optimization of gas supply to Ukraine is extremely relevant in the process of achieving energy independence. Today there is still no global market for natural gas, but the analysis made suggests that there is a process of the price divergence of regional markets for natural gas. The optimization models of gas supply in Ukraine are considered taking into account the availability of powerful gas storage facilities, developed natural gas transportation network, own sources of gas extraction and the possibility of purchasing natural gas in the EU countries. It is shown that diversification of gas supply leads to a significant reduction of transportation costs. In this case, the value of the target function was found provided the same gas supply price from all available sources compared with the option of gas supply from one source on the border with the Russian Federation. The availability of gas storage facilities allows taking into account the seasonal fluctuation of prices in the optimization model. Thus, gas storages act as consumers in the summer and as a source of gas supply during the heating season. The presence of gas storage facilities in the optimization model significantly reduces the integral target function, which includes the cost of acquisition, storage and transportation of natural gas. The capacity of gas storage facilities is not fully used; therefore, they can be used to optimize gas supply to Eastern European countries. The methods of econometric analysis are used to study the effect of rising natural gas prices on volumes of its consumption. An estimation of the coefficient of elasticity of linear and logarithmic models is carried out. On the basis of this indicator, gas consumption is estimated in case of further increase of its prices for the population. The possibilities of use of gas storage facilities for stabilization of gas supply to the countries of Eastern Europe are analyzed.

There are investigated the influence of operating pressures in the gas supply system on the level of such energy indicators as efficiency, gas flow and gas overrun by gas equipment in residential buildings. There is established a relationship between the values of operating pressures in the gas supply system and the gas consumption level of household appliances. The causes of insufficient pressure in the gas networks of settlements are analyzed in the article. There is also developed an algorithm for calculating the change in the efficiency of gas appliances depending on the operational parameters of the gas network. It has been found that the most efficient operation of gas appliances is observed at an overpressure at the inlet of gas appliances of about 1200 Pa.To ensure the required quality of natural gas combustion among consumers and minimize gas consumption there are justified the following measures in the article: coordinating a domestic regulatory framework for assessing the quality of natural gas with international norms and standards; improving the preparation of gas coming from local wells before supplying it to gas distribution networks; auditing low pressure gas pipelines and reconstructing areas affected by corrosion; ensuring standard gas pressure in the network for the normal operation of domestic gas appliances; stating quality indicators of natural gas combustion by gas sales organizations.
