In modern conditions, the methods of bringing drugs to the pharmaceutical market has significant differences from other segments of the economy due to the following factors: the social significance of drugs that directly affect the quality of life and health of the population, the inability to refuse the use of drugs, the presence on the market of three groups of consumers - patients, doctors and the state represented by hospitals and the Ministry of health, legislative restrictions in the methods of marketing activity, a greater share of the presence of foreign multinational pharmaceutical companies, the specifics of the methods of bringing innovative drugs to the market. In order to quickly adapt to the ever-changing environment and achieve the objectives, pharmaceutical companies use different methods for launching new products, which demonstrate different degrees of efficiency, levels of implementation, and speed of obtaining the desired result. Increasing competition on the pharmaceutical market between medication manufacturers and the battle for the consumer should be based on the active introduction of digital technologies and a rational combination of methods of bringing innovative drugs.

Every historical period forms a special generation with its own values and norms. Children and youth become the main driving force in the development of the higher education, but this system in Russia is going through a difficult period due to the problems unresolved after the 1990s: the quality, accessibility and effectiveness of the higher education, inequalities in the access to education, etc. Therefore, intellectual competitions can be considered not only a positive manifestation of the social activity of schoolchildren, but also a means to support talented youth and ensure the interconnection of secondary and higher education systems. The article considers social aspects of the intellectual competitions for schoolchildren which aim at the development of social practices related to research activities and teaching at school. The authors focus on the research and practice-oriented interests of schoolchildren within the intellectual competitions in social studies: priorities, values and life strategies of schoolchildren when choosing the sphere of their interests. The authors analyzed the written projects of schoolchildren, presentations of these projects, responses to experts’ questions, reactions to questions not directly related to the topic of the presented project, further participation in the section, and some additional information. As a result, the authors made conclusions not only about the content of the priorities, values and life strategies of schoolchildren, but also about the procedure and conditions necessary for assessing the quality of work and the creative potential of participants of intellectual competitions.

In a market economy, companies are forced to constantly look for ways to improve their market position, strengthen competitive positions, strengthen com-petitive advantages and maximize financial results. The specificity of pharmaceutical production, its social significance and increased responsibility require the use of partner management. Because only through the formation and development of transparent, strategically coordinated and clearly regulated relations it is possible to create, ensure and maintain the quality of medicines for the end user. One of the promising tools in this direction is the management of partnership. The relevance of the development of partnerships is justified in the article. A partner management is especially important for pharmaceutical companies. It is related to the features of medicines as a commodity. Preserving the quality of drugs at all stages of the supply chain guarantees a profitable partnership. The achievement of competitiveness on the protracted prospect is possible due to a partner management. A management necessity is reasonable partner relations in the article. Definition of a partnership in the pharmaceutical industry proposed. Pre-conditions over for development of partnership are brought. The generalized cycle of management is worked out partner relations. The algorithm of estimation of partnership is reasonable in the article. The contents of the main stages are described in the article. Areas and indicators of partnership evaluation are proposed and substantiated. Within the framework of each direction, criteria are highlighted according to which expert assessment of the level of partner management is carried out for each of the partners. The directions of the assessment of partner management are grounded. Such as quality management, strategic development, financial results, threats and risks, costs. The importance of directions is determined. Formula for calculating the integral indicator of the level of partnerships is proposed. Conducting an assessment according to the proposed algorithm allows you to quickly make managerial decisions on managing partnerships.

The aim of the article is to show the relationship between the aspirations to improve the quality of life and improve social relations and the undertakings serving the renovation of urban spaces. In the first part of the text—after formulating more general remarks about the social significance of space—a few of the concepts of town modernization implemented in the modern history of the developed world (Cerdá, Haussmann, Le Corbusier) are presented, while pointing out their most often ambivalent social results. Attention to the latter has been paid by, among others, critics of modernism and supporters of alternative visions (Jacobs, representatives of the new urbanism, advocates of the ideas of a socially cohesive or fair-shared city, etc.). As the national empirical illustration, the author then characterizes the case of urban and social changes taking place in the last two decades in the Powiśle district of Warsaw. Their effect, regardless of the general benefits of modernization and the desired and long-awaited approximation of the capital to the river, are also controversial, often critically evaluated gentrification processes.

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the development of the pharmaceutical market is analyzed. In addition to serious losses, the current situation also provided an opportunity for development. First of all, this has affected communications, which have almost completely switched to digital format. The technical capabilities and skills of using digital technologies of all participants in the pharmaceutical market - patients, doctors, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, government, showed who was ready to accept the current reality, and who was left out of work. Also, the current situation has further exposed the problems that exist in the pharmaceutical market. A good example is pharmaceutical companies that have switched to remote communication. For some companies, this was not difficult, because previously these companies, understanding the prospects for interaction through digital communications, have already created departments that fully interact with customers through digital technologies. Those who did not pay attention to the development of digital promotion channels had to quickly rebuild, while there were problems with technical equipment, the ability to use it by the company’s employees, and most importantly – online meeting is different from an offline meeting. Also, not all clients were ready to interact in an online format. And if earlier they asked, for example, to send information by email, then started the complete remote work, everyone had to know various systems for meet remotely.

Agriculture is one of the largest sectors of the domestic economy. However, along with the economic significance of agriculture, its social significance plays an important role. Rural settlements lag significantly behind cities in the development of social infrastructure and people’s life quality. A narrow-sectoral agrarian approach, including in areas with limited agricultural potential, has led to a one-sided agrarian development in rural areas and often an irrational distribution of productive forces on them, as well as underdeveloped social infrastructure and other serious problems. The authors propose to adhere to two main approaches in the development of rural areas: forming socio-cultural objects around the core of the cluster, or preservation of each settlement. The social component is analyzed by assessing the quality of life, which takes into account the following groups of indicators: socio-demographic (life expectancy, morbidity, fertility, mortality); economic activity of the population (level of unemployment, migration); social tension (dynamics of crime, the share of the shadow economy in GDP, participation in strikes and political actions); the level of development of the social sphere (the share of spending on education, science, health care, culture in GDP, the number of schoolchildren and students, and others); environmental (the content of harmful substances in the atmosphere, soil, water, food, environmental costs in GDP, contribution to environmental protection, rational use of natural resources); minimum wage, living wage, provision of the population with social infrastructure facilities. We concluded that the gross regional product does not have a strong influence on the size of the social component, and social expenses that determine the quality of life are distributed, most likely, without taking into account the growth of GRP. The data on the social infrastructure facilities provision can be used to substantiate minimum social standards with priority state support for the development of rural settlements provided with jobs.

The article discusses the social significance of osteoarthritis as a widespread disease that develops mainly in older people, which makes it difficult to carry out anti-inflammatory and analgesic therapy due to the frequent combination of osteoarthritis with other diseases at this age, the need to treat comorbid conditions, which is often poorly combined with systemic therapy with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is noted that osteoarthritis not only worsens the quality of life of patients, but also leads to a decrease in the length of their life, which emphasizes the medical and social importance of conducting the safest possible therapy for this disease. Data on the negative impact of the presence of chronic pain on the progression of osteoarthritis are presented. The negative aspects of the use of oral forms of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are discussed: the development of adverse events primarily from the gastrointestinal tract and cardiovascular system, the negative effect on the synthesis of glycoaminoglycans («chondronegative effect»). Discusses the place of topical forms of NSAIDs in the treatment of patients with osteoarthritis in accordance with the recommendations of the International society for the use of topical forms of NSAIDs in the management of patients with osteoarthritis of large and small joints. Data on transdermal transport of the topical form of diclofenac, a small molecule with lipophilic properties, are presented. Data on the effectiveness of topical forms of diclofenac in comparison with oral forms are presented according to numerous randomized controlled trials, and the comparable effectiveness of both forms of diclofenac is demonstrated, with maximum safety of the topical form. A special structure of Voltaren® Emulgel (Voltaren® Emulgel), combining the properties of a gel and cream, which provides rapid transdermal penetration and longer retention of the active substance in the area of inflammation, is described, as well as a special prolonged form of Voltaren® Emulgel), which creates additional convenience for use.

The social significance and quality of scientific research largely depend on the usefulness of research results for the social and scientific community. The lack of funds and the desire to allocate funding to high-quality research projects make the assessment of the quality of research and the valorization of knowledge increasingly important. However, it is very difficult to apply criteria that can objectively assess scientific research, providing precise qualitative and quantitative data on which funding agencies could base their decisions. The product of scientific research is mainly information published in scientific journals. They are the basis for the dissemination of knowledge and the basic criteria for academic and scientific evaluation, fundraising for scientific research and career advancement. In addition to the evaluation of scientific publications, there is a wide range of other activities that reflect the scientific credibility of scientists, such as: number and quality of grants for scientific research projects, leadership in national or international academic societies, membership in editorial boards of reputable journals, doctoral dissertation mentorships and the like. Although these activities are important and give credibility to the scientist, the relevant scientometric systems cover only publications, neglecting other criteria of scientific importance in evaluation for purpose of academic advancement of a scientist, as well as competitions for grants for financial support of scientific research. The reason for this is the fact that these activities, regardless of their importance, are very heterogeneous, with specific characteristics, and require very diverse parameters for evaluation. Therefore, there are no universal evaluation criteria for these activities and their quality is generally assessed individually, depending on the purpose of the assessment. Regardless of the shortcomings, university ranking systems are important comparative parameters for assessing the quality of scientific and educational value of universities.

The construct of social validity was introduced by Montrose M. Wolf (1978) and was de¬fined by three distinct components. These components included (a) the social significance of the goals of treatment, (b) the social appropriateness of the treatment procedures and (c) the social importance of the effects of treatment. The value of social validity in the design, delivery and evaluation of person-centered treatments has been supported over time within the literature. Most notably, Ilene S. Schwartz and Donald M. Baer (1991) spoke to the importance of social validity in terms of designing interventions that were both relevant and valued by consumers. The field of special education has witnessed a significant growth over the past thirty-years in the use of a person-first framework. The merits of social validity for promoting person-first interventions and supports are substantial and include the potential for greater consumer and family engage¬ment, increased adherence to treatment and greater degrees of treatment satisfaction by all parties including teachers, therapists, family members and consumers. Perhaps the greatest benefit is that social validity inputs promote the design and delivery of socially significant interventions and supports and potential quality of life outcomes for consumers in a manner, which honors the intentions of person-centered professional practice. The purpose of this paper will be to provide a research-based rationale for the use of social validity in the design, delivery and evaluation of person-centered interventions and supports.

The study is aimed at determining the characteristics of the activities of representatives of the pharmaceutical industry in the context of compliance with the requirements of international standards in order to provide the population with high-quality, affordable and effective drugs in the context of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. It is substantiated that the marketing activities of pharmaceutical companies and pharmacy chains should comply with the principles of socially responsible marketing and be subject to state regulation in terms of protecting and ensuring public health. The use of individual tools of the marketing complex is not able to solve the problem of reforming relations in the system of providing pharmaceutical care as a whole, since it is necessary to take into account the social orientation of the activities of pharmaceutical companies and the restrictions that exist in the system of informing consumers about the consumer properties of medicines. The theoretical foundations of state regulation of the pharmaceutical market in the direction of creating a legal basis for the functioning of the subjects of the pharmaceutical system by establishing legal and effective relationships between manufacturers, suppliers and consumers of medicines on the principles of implementing socially responsible marketing, compliance with legislative and ethical norms in terms of ensuring the health of citizens of Ukraine have been developed. The social orientation of the activities of representatives of the pharmaceutical sector is focused on providing the population with affordable and effective medicines by improving the pricing system for medicines, producing safe medicines, providing complete and reliable information about the consumer properties of medicines. With the help of generalization and system analysis methods, theoretical and methodological recommendations have been formed for improving the directions of state regulation of the pharmaceutical market in terms of adhering to the principles of socially responsible marketing, the implementation of which will allow government bodies to develop an effective mechanism for state regulation of the pharmaceutical market.

AbstractA review of reports, bills and legislation from around the world, during the period from 1987 to 1991, reveals certain areas of consensus on the possible or actual, ethical and legal regulation of medically assisted conception. Other areas remain controversial, due not only to cultural and religious differences but also to the social significance of the very implementation of these new technologies. Irrespective of these differences, the reformulation of certain shared international principles of human rights permits a greater specificity both in their translation and in their application to medically assisted conception. Areas discussed include the dignity of the person, the security of human genetic material, the quality of services, the inviolability of the person and the inalienability of the person.
