There are many advantages of wind energy, including energy, environmental, economic. Relatively low investment in wind energy projects compared to traditional energy industries. The total kinetic energy of wind in the world can be estimated as 80 times higher than the total energy consumption by humans. And although only a certain fraction of this total can be used for energy needs, the future. The development of the technology itself has enormous potential. The article introduces and provides a brief analysis and historical background of existing designs of low-power wind power plants of the world's major manufacturers; the purpose of research on the proposed topic is indicated. Proposed and developed and described a promising scheme of a wind farm for the needs of small agricultural facilities, which makes it possible to receive electric current at low wind speeds in all natural and climatic zones of Ukraine. It has been established that low-power wind power plants are one of the promising areas for obtaining electrical energy and meeting the needs for small agricultural facilities. The proposed scheme for generating electrical energy. This design of a wind turbine can produce both DC and AC power for stand-alone or grid systems. The calculation of the wind turbine rotor diameter has been reduced. The advantages and disadvantages of wind energy in comparison with traditional energy industries are described. Brief conclusions are made on the proposed design of the wind farm, this will improve the environment, reducing the impact of anthropogenic factors on the environment and also, taking into account the constant increase in energy prices, save money, since such independent small wind farms allow small agricultural facilities to be provided with energy sources.

With resource crisis and environmental crisis increasingly grim, many countries turn the focus to pollution-free and renewable wind energy resources, which are mainly used for offshore wind power generation, seawater desalination and heating, etc., on the premise that the characteristics of resources are fully grasped. In this study, the evaluation of offshore wind energy in offshore waters in China, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of existing studies were overviewed from four aspects: the spatial-temporal characteristics of wind energy, wind energy classification, the short-term forecast of wind energy and the long-term projection of wind energy, according to the research content and the future considerations about wind energy evaluation (evaluation of wind energy on islands and reefs, the impact of wind energy development on human health) were envisaged, in the hope of providing a scientific basis for the site selection and business operation ‘or military applications’ here (after business operation), etc. of wind energy development, ‘aritime navigation against environmental construction,’ here and also contributing to the sustainable development and health of human beings.

There are several alternative energy plants that have begun to be built, such as wind power plants. In general, wind power plants are established in coastal areas or in areas that have produced a lot of wind. In building wind power plants needed a lot of mature calculations so that the design is as simple as possible with a minimal cost possible but can produce maximum power, so as to reduce energy waste and can utilize the wind power available in the surrounding nature as much as possible and can be utilized by the surrounding community. The manufacture of simulation of wind turbine can be done using simulink simulation in MATLAB. The result of the simulation and data analysis is the difference in influence between the variation of pitch angle and the speed of the turbine to the output power and the voltage value, due to the P-value value of < 0.05 and proving that the H0 declared rejected. The result of this study shows that the greater the pitch angle then the turbine speed to the output power and the resulting voltage will also be greater

The article aims to study current trends in the use of solar energy in Ukraine and the world as one of the main directions of decarbonization of the national economy. The authors systematize the prospects, advantages and disadvantages of the development of renewable energy sources. They conducted a comparative analysis of the "efficiency" of solar energy in some countries and Ukraine. The authors determined that the leading position in terms of the share of energy consumed from renewable sources is occupied by countries with developed economies due to the availability of effective motivational mechanisms. From the experience of EU countries, the authors concluded that renewable energy sources form a prerequisite for obtaining additional socio-economic and environmental effects. In the presence of favorable market conditions, renewable energy sources can increase the level of energy security in the country and its energy independence. The article analyzes the legislation of Ukraine on stimulating the development of alternative energy. The authors proposed two opposed ways of further developing solar energy in Ukraine. In particular, the country can implement methods of using alternative energy, which developed countries have successfully implemented. Another area involves increasing research and innovation in implementing, using, maintaining, and utilizing energy-generating devices from alternative energy sources. Despite the polarity of the proposed directions for further development of renewable energy, in both cases, the state policy on attracting investment and promoting the use of energy from alternative energy sources is crucial. In addition, the authors noted the benefits for society from the development and implementation of alternative energy sources. The scaling up and promotion of energy production technologies from alternative sources can reduce carbon emissions, which has been an urgent problem globally.

The Role of the Latvian District Heating System in the Development of Sustainable Energy Supply The aim of the study is to determine whether and to what extent it is possible to use excess electricity produced by wind power plants during low demand periods for district heat production by heat pumps. Energy system analysis on an hourly basis is conducted at various capacities of wind power plants. The results show that it is possible to increase the share of renewable energy sources, decrease the use of primary energy sources and CO2 emissions per unit of the produced energy, i.e. heat and electricity, by using the surplus electricity produced by wind power in the heat pumps combined with the heat storage.

The paper describes special aspects of using the wind power plants (wind turbines) in the power grid. The paper provides the classification and schematic presentation of AC wind turbines, analyzes the role, place and performance of wind power plants in Smart Grid systems with a large share of renewable energy sources. The authors also reviews a detailed analysis of existing AC wind turbines in this paper. Recommendations are given for how to enhance the wind power plants in smart grids in terms of reliability, and introduce the hardware used in the generation, conversion and interface systems into the existing power grid. After the wind power plants had been put online, the relevance of the Smart Grid concept for existing power grids was obvious. The execution of such projects is assumed to be financially costly, requires careful study, and development of flexible algorithms, but in some cases this may be the only approach. The analysis of using wind turbines shows that the structural configuration of wind power plants can be based on the principles known in the power engineering. The approaches may differ, not fundamentally, but in engineering considerations. it is necessary to point out that the method of controlling dual-power machines is quite comprehensive so that their wide use will face operational problems caused by the lack of highly professional specialists in electric drives. Therefore, it seems advisable to use square-cage asynchronous generators in wide applications. The paper shows that as the renewable energy sources are largely used in power grids, there is an issue of maintaining the power generation at a required level considering the variability of incoming wind energy. This results in the malfunctions in the operation of relay protection devices and emergency control automatics (RP and ECA), and the complicated control. Also, the standards of the CIS countries and regulatory documents miss the requirements for the wind turbine protections, taking into account their specialty causing the inefficient standard protective logic, which does not work correctly in a number of abnormal and emergency operating modes, and especially Smart Grid in power grids.
