This paper examines the factors characterizing the access of farms to the supply chains of agricultural products with high added value. Indicators of statistical reporting on farm activity grouped by type of products are analyzed, on the basis of which the influence of production size on opportunities selling products at a higher price is assessed. It is concluded that for various sectors of agriculture the level of product sale prices’ dispersion by individual farmers differs, which characterizes differences and opportunities of farmers to increase own share in the added value creation chain. Identified types of agricultural products, producers of which must increase production volumes to gain access to more profitable trade channels of products, as well as types of products where significant production volume is not a prerequisite for higher sales prices. These conclusions can be taken into account in assessing the feasibility of establishing marketing or processing consumer cooperatives of farmers.

The purpose of the presented research is to analyze the prospects of piggyback in improving the efficiency of or-ganization of agricultural supply chains to the world market. Ukraine is characterized by a high level of logistical com-ponent in transportation of agricultural products, which actualizes the issue of managed transformations in this field. The arguments and counterarguments on the viability of the strategy of using piggyback in the practice of build-ing a supply chain in the context of the agrarian market are analyzed. The basis of the formation of the author's vision is based on the criterion of economic feasibility. Attention was paid to the potential of piggyback in mitigating the situa-tion in the organization of agricultural supply chains by reducing: the need for storage capacities, expanding the range of exporting entities, smoothing the situation of shortages of hopper wagons. At the same time, the actual updating of the piggyback mechanism is connected with the change of the structure of Ukrainian agro-export, in the transition from the practice of raw material appendage to the strategy of creation of production chains with high added value. It is noted that the key feature of agro-logistics is the objective need to form highly specialized segments within it. Each group of a wide range of agricultural products requires an individual, non-uniform approach in the logistics of intermodal trans-portation. Piggyback is recognized as a promising direction for the development of the logistics services market in Ukraine. However, their implementation in the practice of organizing agricultural supply chains has objective limita-tions. The segment agricultural group where piggyback is economically viable includes high-value elite agricultural products with a small average export batch, as well as high value-added agro-industrial products. The ratio of direct tourism gross value added to internal tourism consumption varies substantially from country to country. The paper aims to analyze these differences stemming from the variation and structure of their supply chains. The analysis is based on a comparative analysis of the input-output tables of France, Italy, Spain and Croatia in 2005, 2010 and 2015 published by the OECD. The analysis is performed in three steps. In the first step, an analysis based on a technical coefficient matrix is made of the structure of accommodation and food service industries supply chains in four Mediterranean countries. The second step includes the calculation of the industry’s direct import dependence. The third step compares the effects of backward linkages of inputs. Results provide an insight into the factors that determine the different abilities of economies to generate added value and indicate the possibility of increasing the added value of tourism without increasing its physical volume. This paper describes an investigation into alternative management models applied to public call centres operations with the aim of delivering significant added value to the overall public firm. Call centres offer significant potential for value creation. However, in practice they are often created as mechanistic organisations and managed in such a way is to inhibit value creation. An investigation in a UK city council was carried out through the means of a case study using both qualitative and quantitative methods to collect data from directors, middle-managers and employees to evaluate the development of a lean thinking type of call centre. The results indicate that by implementing the lean thinking approach to the design of call centre service operations significant, but often counter-intuitive, benefits can be created. Lean thinking was found to yield improvements in service performance, value work productivity, and employees’ affective commitment. Evidence on lean value-added to the public call centres is very limited, this paper addresses this shortcoming.

To increase the level of competitiveness in the maritime and fisheries industry in Indonesia, the creation of added value products, such as Fish Protein Hydrolyzate (FHP) would be essential to accelerate this mission. This value creation occurs along the fisheries supply chain, including fishermen, shippers, fish processing units, and industry. To assess the innovation maturity, the FHP machine was assessed with the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Innovation Readiness Level (IRL). The TLR was carried out by TRL-Meter and IRL was carried out by IRL-Meter. The data was collected by interviews and questionnaires with related stakeholders. The data assessed that the machine met the requirement for TRL level 9 and IRL Level 3. The recommendation for TRL 9 and IRL 3 has been conducted through a strategic partnership with a related state-owned enterprise. Because the FHP shows product competitiveness, gives value-added, and generates value creation in the fisheries supply chain, it could be a role model for the development of the FHP cluster in another location. However, the involvement of local and central governments still needs to be improved significantly. Furthermore, the government should build a conducive ecosystem for technology-based innovation in the country.

The Dangau Datuk Bengkulu Agribusiness Vocational Middle School has practicum facilities for cultivating various types of vegetables, one of which is tomatoes, which are sold directly at outlets provided to meet the daily needs of students. However, the characteristics of agricultural products are not durable,perishable, and rotten if they are not immediately sold. This problem has attracted the interest of proposers to help introduce value added analysis through processing tomatoes into tomato sauce which of course can lasta long time, have added value and high selling value. Students and some teachers have received value-added introduction training through sauce processing, operational management, training on determining the cost ofgoods sold (HPP). The ratio of added value from processing tomatoes into tomato sauce is obtained by 40% and the added value is obtained by subtracting the output value from other input prices and the raw materialprice of Rp. 6,666.67, meaning that every 1 kg of tomatoes costs Rp. creating added value of Rp. 6,666.67, - per Kg after being processed into tomato sauce.

The article analyzes the production of agricultural products in India for the period 2000-2018. - as the basis for the formation of export potential, which has shown an increase in production in almost all major types of agricultural products in India. Today India is a major exporter of agricultural products and foodstuffs and ranks sixth in the ranking of the 10 largest exporters in the world. Its share in the global market in 2018 was 2.2%. ($ 42 billion). India intends in the future to significantly increase the volume of supplies of agricultural products to the world market - up to 100 billion dollars. In this regard, India has developed a new export policy aimed at developing export potential through the production of high value-added products and the development of export infrastructure, which will increase the competitiveness of Indian products in the global food market. The article discusses some aspects of export policy. Particular attention is paid to the formation of clusters and agricultural export zones, the creation of which will attract foreign investment both in agricultural production and in the development of infrastructure in India, and ensure the production of high quality products. An important point in the formation of clusters is the involvement of farmers in the value chain through the creation of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), designed to help smallholders overcome shortcomings in production and expand the presence of farmers in foreign markets. The article reflects the infrastructure to support exports and stimulate the production of export agricultural products with high added value. The issues of mutual trade in agricultural products between India and Russia and some directions of its development are considered.

It is revealed that in the Volyn region in recent years the volume of agricultural exports has been increasing, which enhances the raw material orientation of the region, which in turn may lead to negative ecological and economic consequences in the future. Agricultural products produced in the region provide foreign processing enterprises with raw materials that come back to us in the form of finished products. It is substantiated that by stimulating the development of domestic agriculture, the state and local authorities for some reason pay little attention to stimulating the development of integrated productions operating on domestic agricultural raw materials. The raw material orientation of the Volyn region leads to increased extensive agricultural activities, which in turn may impair the level of ecological and economic development of the region. Given the low prices of agricultural commodities on the foreign market, it is advisable to increase the volume of exports of agricultural products with higher value added (finished products). The expediency and the basic directions of economic stimulation of creation and development of complex productions for in-depth processing of agricultural products in this region are proved. The main advantage of the creation and development of industries from the full cycle of advanced processing of natural resources is the preservation and increase of the amount of added value, which will contribute to increase of financial revenues to the budgets of territorial communities and the state budget in particular, increase of profits of processing enterprises, increase of employment of rural population, etc. It is concluded that it is necessary to develop integrated production of in-depth processing of agricultural products in the Volyn region. In this regard, additional financial resources should be attracted, first of all, to restore the fallen ones of the 1990s. or underdeveloped processing units of the agroindustrial complex of the region – flax processing, fruit and berry and canning production, vegetable drying, oil and fat production, livestock complexes for pig and cattle production, production of biofuel and food digestion.

This study examines the impact of agro tourism development on increasing the value added of agricultural products, and the impact of agro tourism development on farmers income level. The study was conducted using survey interviews with farmers and related parties and field observation. The development of agro tourism encourages the community to process agricultural products, improve on farm and non- farm management. The results showed that processing of agricultural products, farm management and non-farm management activities provides significant increase on farmers household income. It is recommended to optimize the processing of agricultural products, farm management and non-farm management activities.

The article aims at assessing the Ukrainian industries’ participation in global value-added chains and identifying prospects for intensifying these processes. The research methods used are the following: statistical analysis, comparison, and graphical analysis. The rise of the role of exporting products with high added value, as well as that of their integration into global value creation chains has been identified. A methodical approach to assessing the Ukrainian industries’ participation in global value creation chains is proposed, making it possible to determine the level of the country’s involvement in the process of international labor division by industries. The export pattern of Ukrainian industries has been analyzed, and the industries that have a significant export share in total exports and in the output composition have been identified. The main indicators of the country’s participation in global value-added chains have been calculated, namely: the national value added in the country’s exports by industry; the contribution of certain sectors of the economy to the national value added of gross exports; the share of the total national gross exports value added accounting for the national value added in specific industries. The positioning of industries in the plane of coordinates ‘share in the exports pattern – share in the national value added in exports’ has been carried out. It has been determined that the share of national value added in the exports of Ukrainian extractive industries is higher than the average one in the countries surveyed, while in the manufacturing sphere it is lower, which confirms the nearly total lack of knowledge-intensive and innovative stages of manufacturing in the latter, thus raising the share of low-grade products in exports. Several directions of the rational integration of Ukraine’s economy into global value added chains have been suggested. State policy measures to intensify the involvement of Ukrainian producers in global value added chains have been designed
