Based on the operating experience analysis of snow melting plants and the proposed patent solutions for their improvement, a new design is developed. Operability of the new design, in which rotation of the working bodies is carried out under the influence of the supplied coolant’s pressure, is confirmed. The study of the working process is based on an experimental method based on physical modeling. The influence of individual factors affecting the intensity and efficiency and enabling to determine the dimensionless similarity equations, is studied. Based on the results obtained, a pilot plant is designed, created, and tested under real operating conditions.

As the car moving, the power of the engine is transmitted to the active wheel through the transmission system. In such a transmission, the power is lost due to friction in the powertrain and the power of the active wheel will be less than the output of the engine. The transmission system consists of components such as clutches, transmissions, propeller shaft, active bridge, differential and active wheels. During the working process, each of these parts is affected by the individual factors that reduce their performance. This article is to analyze the structure, function, task and modeling of the vehicle transmission system components,  building the dynamics movement model of the transmission system according to D’Alambert principle, in which the dynamics of the wheel and the axle as well as the rigidity of the powertrain and chassis are mentioned. The Matlab Simulink software is used to simulate the automobile drive system. Thereby, the factors affecting the operation of the transmission system are analysed and evaluated in order to clarify the law of motion, and propose solutions that improve the quality of the transmission system on automobile.

Purpose. Justification of rational parameters of hardening of the working bodies of tillage machines by the method of electro arc processing. Methods. The experimental, mathematical and statistical, monographic. Results. The technology of local hardfacing, which improves the wear resistance of the surfaces of the parts of modification with the use of electro arc processing and with additional point hardfacing with the use of variations in processing modes, various technological methods and materials for adaptation to specific operating conditions. Conclusions 1.According to the results of theoretical studies, the heat balance of the process of electrical contact processing was determined, which allows to determine the most significant factors affecting the energy performance of the process, namely, the controlled voltage U of the arc process of electrical contact processing. 2.According to the results of experimental studies, rational values of the controlled voltage U in the process of electro arc processing within 35–55 V were established, which ensures surface roughness in the range from 0.4 to 1.0 mm. Keywords: electro arc processing, hardfacing, heat balance, parts of tillage machines, regimes, roughness, wear resistance.

AbstractDelirium develops through a multifactorial process and include multiple subtypes with different pathological factors. To refine the treatment and care for delirium, a more detailed examination of these subtypes is needed. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the factors affecting delirium in cases in which hallucinations are conspicuous. In total, 602 delirium cases referred to the psychiatry department at a general hospital between May 2015 and August 2020 were enrolled. The Delirium Rating Scale-revised-98 was used to assess perceptual disturbances and hallucinations in patients with delirium. Multiple regression analysis was applied to determine whether individual factors were associated with the hallucinations. A total of 156 patients with delirium (25.9%) experienced hallucinations, with visual hallucinations being the most common subtype. Alcohol drinking (p < 0.0005), benzodiazepine withdrawal (p = 0.004), and the use of angiotensin II receptor blockers (p = 0.007) or dopamine receptor agonists (p = 0.014) were found to be significantly associated with hallucinations in patients with delirium. The four factors detected in this study could all be reversible contributing factors derived from the use of or withdrawal from exogenous substances.

Relevance of the article is based on participation of armed forces in various operations and exercises, where reliability of machinery is one of the most important factors. Transportation of soldiers as well as completion of variety of tasks is ensured by properly functioning technical equipment. Reliability of military vehicles – armoured SISU E13TP Finnish built and HMMWV M1025 USA built were selected as the object of the article. Impact of climatic conditions on reliability of the vehicles exploited in southwestern part of the Atlantic continental forest area is researched by a case study of the vehicles exploitation under conditions of the climate of Lithuania. Reliability of military vehicles depends on a number of factors such as properties of the vehicles and external conditions of their operation. Their systems and mechanisms are influenced by a number of factors that cause different failures. Climatic conditions represent one of the factors of operating load which is directly dependent on the climate zone. Therefore, assessment of the reliability is started with the analysis of climatic factors affecting operating conditions of the vehicles. Relationship between the impact of climatic factors and failure flow of the vehicles is presented and discussed.

Abstract Despite being identified nearly a century ago, the diffusion absorption refrigeration (DAR) cycle has received relatively little attention. One of the strongest attractions of the DAR cycle lies in the fact that it is thermally driven and does not require high value work. This makes it a prime candidate for harnessing low grade heat from solar collectors, or the waste heat from stationary generators, to produce cooling. However, to realize the benefits of the DAR cycle, there is a need to develop an improved understanding of how design parameters influence its performance. In this vein, this work developed a new parametric model that can be used to examine the performance of the DAR cycle for a range of operating conditions. The results showed that the cycle's performance was particularly sensitive to several factors: the rate of heat added and the temperature of the generator, the effectiveness of the gas and solution heat exchangers, the mass flowrate of the refrigerant and the type of the working fluid. It was shown that can deliver good performance at low generator temperatures if the refrigerant mass fraction in the strong solution is made as high as possible. Moreover, it was shown that a H2O-LiBr working pair could be useful for achieving cooling at low generator temperatures.

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of training based on learning organization in the staff of cement industry with production capacity over ten thousand tons. The purpose of this study is to propose a training model based on learning organization. For this purpose, the factors of organizational learning were introduced by qualitative research in the form of open codes, axial codes, selective codes and the resulted observations, and then the final model was obtained by structural equation model. The data were collected from the staff of three cement companies of Abyek, Tehran, and Sepahan, with a statistical population of 1719 staff of cement industry. The qualitative research sample included 29 experienced experts in the field of cement industry, and the quantitative research sample included 326 staff and experts, who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. A self-made questionnaire consisting of 72 questions was used to measure quantitative variables. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.93 and its content and face validity was determined by expert colleagues and professors, the structural equation model and regression was used to analyze the quantitative data. The results showed that the status of learning organization in cement companies is in average level. Finally, the obtained model consisted of both individual and organizational factors. The individual factors affecting organizational learning include teaching scientific content, perception, trust, and self-efficacy of training. The organizational factors affecting organizational learning include organizational culture, forming the structure, the method of management and leadership, preparing human resource (identity), adaption to the environment, policies, rules, and regulations, and achieving a viable product. The share of individual factors on learning organization is higher than the effect organizational factors; the share of each factor is also determined.
