Environmental education is one of the main tools for solving the problems of environmental management and environmental protection. In all highly developed countries, there is a tendency to develop technologies that contribute to reducing the harmful effects of human activities on the environment. The sustainable development of society and the economy in the face of growing demands for natural resources involves the careful treatment and transmission to future generations of clean air, genetic biodiversity and soil fertility. This can be achieved through the development of high-tech technologies based on environmental principles ,which largely depends on the quality of environmental education not only for specialists in the field of environmental management, but also for all people. We hold the view that environmental education has a great impact on the ability and skills of people to make decisions in accordance with environmental norms and standards. In order for environmental education to become an effective part of universal education, it is necessary first of all that every teacher has a competence in the field of ecology.

Motto: “We cannot prevent disasters ... What we hope to do is to be more proactive, to be better prepared so that we can react better, faster.” Winston Choo, 2006The exigencies of environmental protection must be concomitantly achieved both at micro and macroeconomic levels, at individual and national states and international communities’ levels. No matter the scale we refer to, there should be taken strict actions meant to modify the present tendencies of environmental deterioration in order to permanently maintain an equitable balance between satisfying the more and more diverse necessities of present society and protecting all components of environment. Although it is difficult or, in some cases, even impossible to establish their appearance within time and space coordinates, the majority associates them with the period of industrial revolution, because the man’s wish of a better, more sustainable life has uncontrollable effects on the environment, or the climate. Thus, the change with its multiple faces and components remains a priority for the protection of the environment and of the sustainable development, and people face the most important choice of their long history. One with paradigmatic values – having rational, ecologic, protectionist, emotional, educational valences – generated by the troubling metamorphoses like: the exhaustion of natural resources, “baby-boom” beyond any control, the ecologic unbalances, the inequality of chances when education, health and carrier are concerned.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of global goals targeting all levels: from a planetary biosphere to a local community. The aim is to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people can enjoy peace and prosperity, now and in the future. The beginning of the Twenty-first century and the last fifteen years of the twentieth century have been the awakening of human consciousness when it comes to ecology and environmental protection. The man of the digital age is slowly becoming aware that a new society is a life-organization characterized by the use of modern technologies and overuse of natural resources and, in some places, already devastated and degraded environments. The modern economy survives on the use of living and inanimate natural resources. Natural resources such as air, water, soil are polluted and some animal species are exterminated in this period. For this reason, it is of great importance to force producing and broadcasting numerous environmental shows on local, regional and global media. Going deeper into the issue, we have to see that the problem should be addressed more and more, reinforcing at the same time the ethics of all people on the planet, which would lead to the adoption of binding norms that would affect people’s behavior when it comes to ecology and environmental protection . The media is playing a key role in this issue. A part of the discussion on the concept of conservation, including the main scientific and ethical points of view, is presented in this paper, highlighting the environmental, socio-ecological and ethical aspects behind the comprehensive concept of industry and economy. This paper is about the idea of being the appeal on media regarding the urgent need for socio-environmental ethical personal engagement and collective actions.

On the basis of the analysis of the current state and trends in the development of environmental management, the main directions for the development of environmentally oriented processes, priorities and main objectives of environmental policy are identified. The article highlights the current problems in the legal regulation of environmental protection, environmental safety and environmental management. The conclusion is drawn about a certain isolation of the ecological and economic policy of Russia, denoting the need to strengthen their integration among themselves, which will be the basis for successfully entering the sustainable development trajectory in the medium term. There have been emphasized the main reasons of the problems related to environmental security in Russia and given information on life expectancy for a certain period of time. The main reason of crisis state of affairs in environmental security and environmental management is unpreparedness of economic conditions for stimulating environmental protection activities of the Russian companies. To restore and enhance the life-supporting conditions of nature, on the basis of adequate compensation for damage to ecosystems, the basic concepts of the equilibrium interaction of companies with the environment have been developed. The concept implies adequate compensation for damage caused to nature by determining the rational ratio between production levels and consumed resources. Based on the concept developed by the authors, an environmentally oriented model of integrated management of Russian companies has been created, the main difference between which from existing international ISO standards and their analogues, is the complex integration of environmental aspects into the organization's management system, which allows to take into account the environmental component at all stages of the life cycle. The introduction of an environmentally oriented model of integrated management in Russian companies will allow for the effective environmental transformation of the management system, which will serve as the basis for improving the environmental acceptability of their activities.

From the organization of the first societies of hunter-gatherers to the development of sedentary life, the human being has transforming the landscapes of the natural environments of Pour planet. Nowadays, there is a planetary crisis resulting from the means of production and consumption, in an urban way of life based on technology. At the same time, there is an international movement for Environmental Education, aimed at combating the crisis. The present work proposes to reflect on the potential of Environmental Education in a critical and creative perspective, starting from a Freirean approach. Since the solution mechanisms are based on the same principles that generated the crisis, it is necessary that Environmental Education be constituted from its transformative potential, instead of serving the Sustainable Development. The Emerging countries are characterized by high vulnerability. Their development process is therefore likely to be severely hampered by shocks, contributing to high volatility in their economic growth. To understand the high vulnerability of emerging countries, we explore the impact of structure and degree of specialization on economic instability. We find that countries whose specialization is based on natural resources are more unstable. On the other hand, increased research and development spending and a high number of patent applications reduce this instability. We also note that the impact of specialization in high technology depends on the level of development of the country; it is positive in emerging countries and negative in developed countries. This difference in the sign of the impact can be explained by a difference in the origin of the technology incorporated into the exports in these two categories of countries. We can conclude, then that the vulnerability of emerging countries and partly due to their specialization policies which are oriented mainly to products that come from natural resources and gathering of high-tech items.

Humans and their existence depend on the natural system. Maintaining balance in this system requires proper management of natural resources and taking actions aimed at limiting and preventing negative effects of the economic activity as well as rational use of natural resources available in a given time. The effects of the intensive development of the economy with the uncontrolled use of natural resources were felt by developed countries already in the first, and much stronger in the second half of the 20th century. One of them is air pollution contributing to the formation of smog. This problem is so important in Polish conditionsthat measures are taken by the government and its authorities to limit the effects and scope of this phenomenon. These activities serve to increase the ecological security. Over the past dozen or so years, there has been a significant evolution of environmental policy in Poland, new regulations have been created in the field of environmental law. The paper analyzes the issues of Poland’s environmental policy up to 2030 and the “Clean Air” program implemented under this policy. It also attempts to indicate the positive social effects resulting from its implementation.

Abstract The trends of the society for the continuous growth, combined with the demographic changes, today have led to the important ecological problems on a global scale, which include, among others: the increased use of non-renewable natural resources, an increase of the greenhouse gas emissions, contamination of soil, water, air and the progressive degradation of ecosystems. In the face of such serious threats the global initiatives of all countries are important to limit the results of the excessive consumption. The aim of the article is to present the methods of measurement of the consumption level of natural resources by the societies and the examination of relationships between the level of development of the societies and the use of resources. The popular measure – the ecological footprint – was used as a measurement method for the consumption of the today’s generations in relation to the regenerative possibilities of the natural environment. On the other hand, as the assessment method for the level of development of societies – the Human Development Index (HDI), including three basic areas: the life expectancy, GDP level per capita and education was used. The results of the research indicate that the current trend of the unlimited consumption of the highly developed countries takes place at the expense of the future generations.
