The new method of radical uterine surgery combining endoscopic approachand minilaparotomy is represented. 105 operative invasions on the uterus were performed using this method. Characteristic features of the surgical method, which was elaborated, are minimum blood loss and tissue injury, simple technique, low requirement of analgetics, fast rehabilitation of patients activity and capacity for work, using common equipments and materials.

Since the founding of the «Sofiyivka» Dendrological Park, over more than two centuries, the structure of the dendrocenosis and park compositions including the «Champs Elysees» (Quarter 26), located in the center of the park' s historic core changed. The changes were caused by a complex of biotic and abiotic factors that influenced the taxonomic composition of plants. The paper presents the results of a study of the dynamics of changes in the dendrocenosis of the quarter 26 «Champs Elysees», which will contribute to the preservation and restoration of the historic site of the ancient park, in particular its taxonomic composition.

Preservation and restoration of dental health of patients is achieved by early detection and treatment of diseases, finding ways of individual prevention, detection and elimination of risk factors for their development. The amount of materials significantly increased used to restore the integrity of teeth and dentition. Among them are dental materials for permanent fixation of indirect non-removable restorations. The material is used to fill the space between the inner surface of the artificial structure and the support element. This helps to mechanically fix the restoration in place to prevent its displacement during chewing. The correct choice of dental material for permanent fixation is an important decision and will determine the long-term success of permanent restorations. The aim of the study is to analyze the durability using non-removable structures of dentures mounted on different glass ionomer cements.

An important step in the conservation of old paper documents is the analysis of both the medium and the ink, in an attempt first to determine the extent of deterioration and degradation and then to choose the best preservation and restoration solutions. Our paper focuses on the analysis of three old documents displayed at the ‘Poni-Cernătescu’ Museum in Iaşi City, Romania by optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX), micro-FTIR spectroscopy and FT-Raman. Thus, the morphology and chemical composition of the paper media and the type of ink, as well as the cellulose crystallinity index were determined. PCA (Principal Component Analysis) was also used while relying on spectra collected by FTIR spectroscopy. We were able to determine the extent of degradation of the documents by corroborating all these findings.

The main challenge in the efforts to protect roadside tree alleys is to achieve a balance between the local development and the conservation of biodiversity. The problem of aging and disappearing roadside tree alleys was analyzed based on a critical review of the literature, various types of reports related to this topic and the provisions of international and Polish acts of law on biodiversity conservation and landscape protection. The following research hypotheses were formulated: 1. The preservation and restoration of roadside tree alleys promotes biodiversity conservation and sustainable development, and it constitutes an important social and scientific problem, and 2. detailed guidelines are needed to formulate effective programs for the protection of roadside tree alleys. The results of the study were used to formulate the universal guidelines for designing programs for the protection of roadside tree alleys. The potential barriers and obstacles that can occur in each stage of the proposed algorithm were identified and discussed on the example of Poland. In the summary, the answer to the question used as the title of the article should be affirmative. However, many actions must be taken. Most of them are included in the proposed guidelines and some of them are given as recommendations.

AbstractDigital technology is being increasingly designed and employed to support the preservation and restoration of ancient murals. The contributions of digital technologies to this study were planned from the very beginning, as the complexity of this restoration necessitated the design of innovative procedures to manage the restoration and reconstruction processes and to record the details and deformation of the mural. This paper takes the digital restoration of the "maid holding a fan" mural in the Tang Zhaoling Duan Jianbi tomb as an example. In view of the large number and dislocation of mural fragments, the application of digital restoration technology and its achievements in the restoration of this ancient mural are preliminarily explored in combination with high-precision digital information collection and recording. Technical suggestions and details regarding the digital restoration of the mural are put forward to serve as guidance for the preservation and restoration of ancient murals.

The intestinal barrier consists of an epithelial lining covered with specialized mucus inhabited by intestinal microbiota. An intact gut barrier ensures a resistance to bacteria and toxins translocation. On the other hand, gut permeability allows the absorption of essential nutrients, fluids and ions. This balance is achieved only by the complex structure and functional characteristics of the intestinal barrier. Allogenic hematopoietic cell transplantation remains the only curative treatment for many hematological diseases, but its application is limited because of possible transplant-related mortality mainly due to graft-versus-host disease and infectious complications. The intestinal barrier has been extensively studied in recent years as the primary site of graft-versus-host disease initiation and propagation. In the present review, we focused on the physiological structure and function of the gut barrier and the evidence of how the disruption of the gut barrier and increased intestinal permeability affects transplant recipients. Finally, therapeutic strategies aiming at intestinal barrier protection with a special focus on microbiome preservation and restoration in the allogenic hematopoietic cell transplantation setting are discussed.

Currently, the problem of typing architectural decor of facades of buildings in Lviv from 1890’s (late historicism) has not been studied. Therefore, the task is to explore all architectural decor elements of each architectural piece, which are of indisputable value for Lviv and in need of preservation and restoration. A set of villas and a number of profitable and public buildings erected at the time of late historicism in Lviv were identified and taken as a basis based on comparative and bibliographic analysis. In addition, photographic evidence and visual inspection of these pieces were completed and architectural decor elements were studied. A total of 95 architectural pieces were analyzed on the basis of field surveys: 28 villas, 2 public buildings. and 13 residential buildings. As a result of the above, types of architectural decor elements, such as: constructive-decorative, art-decorative, decorative-plastic, were established. Subsequent studies have led to a smaller division into subtypes. Thus, entrance portals, windows, balconies (fences, brackets), cornices, and attics were included in the constructive-decorative elements, paintings and majolica were included in the artistic-decorative elements, and order, rustic, stucco works, round sculptures were included in the decorative-plastic category. This publication involved analysis of constructive-decorative architectural decor elements. Constructive-decorative architectural decor elements were analyzed in view of their composition and style peculiarities. In particular, composition features of architectural decor elements were analyzed for form and tectonic location, while types and motifs applied to style specifics.
