In the article, the authors consider the role of a multimedia textbook in modern education. The priority national project "Education" is being implemented in Russia - the creation and implementation of modern electronic textbooks is one of the priority concepts in this project. Electronic publications enhance interactive features such as modeling, surveys, discussions, and additional multimedia materials. Advantages of electronic textbooks: mobility, large capacity of information; the ability to constantly update content, without purchasing a new textbook and financial expenses; level of visibility: you can only put text, illustrations, diagrams and graphs in a printed publication, but you can also put animation in an electronic publication, which is convenient for visual display of academic subjects. The electronic textbook provides more opportunities for learning within the existing programs, as well as for the development and optimization of the educational process.

The question of ensuring an equal access to quality education is highly radicalized during the period of rapid technological development. An introduction of electronic educational resources in educational process, electronic textbooks, in particular, is one way of addressing the above problem. The article includes an analysis of foreign experience in using of electronic textbooks. It was defined the benefits and risks in the use of electronic textbooks, requirements to them. The article also gives an overview of the needed support of classrooms which for today are testing the mentioned textbooks within the experiment of introduction of electronic textbook as well as it analysis the draft of the plan of realization of this experiment. The role of interactive textbooks in modernizing education is also stated in the article. Since an electronic textbook is currently in a phase of formation in Ukraine, a comparative analysis of proposals by different publishers was carried out in the article. The range of multimedia textbooks which can be found on the following platforms: MozaWeb and Rozumniki, namely, Я досліджую світ (eng. I Investigate the World) (1st form), Art (1st form), Nature study (5th form), World History (5th form) were analysed to determine whether they fulfill the conditions of the curriculum, the demands of NUS, the Order about electronic textbook (from 2nd May 2018), the Education Act. The possibilities for future experimental work were defined in the article.

The article presents an analysis of national and foreign experience of electronic textbooks use in the system of education. It is justified the use of Smart Kids technology as a system of methods, forms, and electronic educational game resources, electronic textbooks for educational process in the system of primary school. Four forms of Smart Kids technology implementation (Smart Case, Smart Teacher, Smart Class, and Smart Kids) were described considering the facilities of every school as well as the level of information and communication technology qualification of the primary school teacher. The aim of introduction of the technology for each form of teaching, the necessary equipment, and means for its implementation in primary school environment were determined. Based on the procedural approach to work of the primary school teacher, six stages of introduction of the technology were justified. Specific aspects of introduction of blended teaching using the principles of Smart Kids technology were defined. The experience of introduction of electronic textbooks to the system of primary education of Ukraine was described, the choice of electronic textbooks by primary school teachers was justified, the comments and suggestions of teachers regarding the arrangement of electronic content in E-textbooks were summarized, the main approaches of teachers to the choice of an electronic textbook and development of their information and communication competence were specified. Proposals are given for training future primary school teachers on the use of Smart Kids technology and the inclusion in the curriculum of topics such as: the concept of EER, EEGR and electronic textbook, structure and development of EER, the use of Smart Kids technology for teaching students, the latest forms of work with students, work with network programs for organizing a survey of students. The fragments of use of electronic textbook in teaching 6-year-old pupils were provided. It was identified that the forms, methods, and techniques of use of electronic textbooks in teaching primary school pupils require further justification.

статья посвящена анализу творческого наследия Э.В. Ильенкова, связанного с осмыслением проблемы критического мышления и роли школьного образования в его формировании. Размышления философа носят междисциплинарный характер, затрагивая философские, педагогические и психологические вопросы. Особое место в работах Э.В. Ильенкова отводится вопросам морали и нравственности, на основе которых формирование критического мышления у школьников реализуется уже на уровне начальных классов. Автор делает вывод о том, что обращение к работам философа способствует переосмыслению взглядов на современное образование, разрешению противоречий, связанных с этическими вопросами современности, а также дает возможность акцентировать внимание на роли учителя в образовательном процессе, направленном на воспитание критически мыслящей и духовно-нравственной личности. the article is devoted to the analysis of the creative heritage of E.V. Ilyenkov, associated with the comprehension of the problem of critical thinking and the role of school education in its formation. It is shown that the philosopher's thoughts are interdisciplinary in nature, affecting philosophical, pedagogical, and psychological issues. A special place in the works of E.V. Ilyenkova is devoted to questions of morality, based on which the formation of critical thinking in schoolchildren is realized already at the level of elementary grades. The author concludes that the appeal to the works of the philosopher contributes to the rethinking of views on modern education, the resolution of contradictions related to ethical issues of our time, and also makes it possible to focus on the role of the teacher in the educational process aimed at educating critically thinking and spiritually - moral personality.

The paper deals with argumentation on a challenging problem of introducing electronic edition of textbook for the primary school. Different opinions are presented. Teachers, educational supervisors, pediatric psychologists and schoolchildren’s parents articulate their concerns on reasonability of replacing paper textbook with its electronic version at the primary school, articulate their different opinions on functions of electronic training literature in the educational process, on requirements to electronic textbooks and their compliance with sanitary norms and regulations as well as on pros and contras of electronic textbooks usage.

The article In Defense of Human Identity: the Reality of Globalization as the Cause of Modernization of Modern Educational Systems is an attempt to reflect on the role of the educational process in the context of the value system offered in the modern world. It appears that authentic human participation in the reality of global and involuntary compliance with the directives of globalism is both a crisis of identity, of its existence, values, norms, and all human activities. Efforts taken to demonstrate the value of dogma, which carries with it an affirmation of the modern world, and conformist standards of conduct, is to notice the risk of objective truth about man and reality. Civilization implies in fact a kind of order to eradicate what is human. The human drama shows an almost total devotion to the values of functionalism and utility. Therefore, it is vital for modern education to return to the personal dimension of human existence. This accomplishment, a full range of education, which means clarifying the challenges confronting it, is only possible with recognizing and highlighting the personal status of the man based on the personalistic norm. The widespread introduction of information technologies makes significant changes in various spheres of human activity. The education sector is no exception. In this regard, in this article, the author considers the actual problem of developing electronic textbooks and is one of the most relevant and promising areas of informatization of the educational process. The analysis of the works of scientists A.A. Andreev, A.I. Bashmakov, T.I. Koval, V.M. Kukharenko, E.S. Polat, P.I. Serdyukov, S.S. Sysoeva, A.Yu. Uvarova was conducted. These works contain requirements for the development of electronic textbooks. Based on the results of the analysis, the author described the stages of developing electronic textbooks, the principles that they should correspond to, and also provided a list of modules that should make up an electronic textbook. From the existing variety of software packages, the author distinguishes CourseLab, Smart Builder, MOS Solo, Google Sites, iSpring Suite, TurboSite, Adobe Animate, HTML5. The development of electronic textbooks based on the technology presented by the author of the article and their subsequent application in the educational process will help to organize the educational and cognitive activities of students at a more effective level. Purpose is the description of the technology for the development of electronic textbooks, taking into account existing requirements. The article uses methods of analysis, synthesis and deduction. The analysis of requirements and principles of development of electronic textbooks is carried out on the basis of the descriptive-analytical method. The practical result of the proposed technology is the developed electronic textbook "Development of mobile applications". The results of the study, in addition to their theoretical significance, also have practical significance, which consists in the positive dynamics in resolving the contradiction between the continuously increasing flow of information and the limited opportunities of students to assimilate it. The conscious use of electronic textbooks in the educational process is one of the fundamental ways to improve the quality of education by changing the methods of teaching used in the direction of individualization and focus on the student.

Nowadays, the acquisition of innovative approaches and techniques that use the Internet is one of the main goals for the development of higher medical education in Ukraine. Blending learning is an effective way to gain knowledge in medicine and such kind of education is carried out through educational programs and curriculum and was approved for each department by the scientific council of the university. This paper describes the effectiveness of blending learning in the preparation of medical students in Ukraine. The authors designed a course “Medical English for Specific Purpose” and implemented it into the educational process. From this research, it can be concluded that blending learning is an integral part of modern education with the ability to use collaborative and critical thinking skills. In such kind of education, the role of a teacher changes to the facilitator who involves and stimulates students to go through real problem solving and meaningful lifelong learning experiences.

The article discusses and details the features of designing the contents of the educational program of tutors’ master's training, implementing the accompaniment of students in the conditions of individualization of the educational process. Separately, factors affecting the content of the training curriculum at the university are considered. In addition, a significant segment of the study is devoted to the identification of topical areas which are "requesting" tutorials for students to implement their individual educational routes. The role of the modular approach in the design of the training curriculum for tutors in the master's degree for the education system has been revealed and updated. A special place in the structure of the study is occupied by the results of the development of professional competences of a tutor, based on professional functions formulated by employers in the professional standard, as well as the designed modular content of the training curriculum for the education system. This modular training design will ensure the formation of a set of professional competencies that ensure the tutor's readiness to implement design, methodical and accompanying activities in the space of modern education, including remote.

Technical Requirements

One of the decisive factors in the modernization of the education system is the creation of a new generation of learning tools that combine the achievements of modern pedagogical science with the powerful didactic capabilities of information technology. Therefore, the problem of implementation of electronic educational resources into the educational process of the elementary school, in particular, electronic textbooks becomes of special urgency nowadays. The article summarizes the results of the analysis of modern scientific literature regarding the requirements for the development of electronic textbooks and the peculiarities of their introduction to the system of general secondary education. The essence of the concept «electronic textbook» has been found out, its features, functions, components, as well as advantages and risks of application in modern educational institutions have been determined. The psychological and pedagogical, methodological and technical requirements for electronic textbooks have been determined and the possibility of their use in the elementary school has been substantiated. The analysis of peculiarities of structural organization, didactic functions and advantages of using electronic textbooks allowed showing their effectiveness in raising the level of interest of students, positive impact on the personal development of children, their qualitative training in the process of learning. The author paid attention to the importance of systematic use of electronic textbooks in the educational process, conducted an analysis of electronic textbooks for pupils of the New Ukrainian School. The article emphasizes the necessity of creating electronic textbooks for a modern school, specifies the concrete steps of the state educational policy in this direction, in particular, the legal regulation of the specified activity, as well as conducting an all-Ukrainian experiment «An Electronic Textbook for General Secondary Education».

The author gives the presentation of the content and structural components of an electronic textbook using Excel and the programming language Visual Basic for Applications using an example of a textbook fragment. The methods of presenting theoretical material, modeling with a visual demonstration, automatic verification of the results of assignments, automatic visual display of the results of mastering the topic using the built-in Excel functions are described in detail. The codes of programs for automatic presentation of individual tasks, automatic data modeling based on built-in Excel functions and building a scatter chart with smooth curves are given. The research methodology is based on testing the capabilities of MS Excel and the built-in programming language Visual Basic for Applications to solve the tasks. In contrast to the tools available today for creating electronic educational resources, such a textbook is easily modifiable, allows you to change the scripts of the educational process, in addition to test tasks, present students with sets of individual tasks, and adapt tasks to the level of students. In addition, it is an effective didactic tool for simultaneously mastering the Excel spreadsheet processor and discipline that requires modeling or performing complex calculations and routine operations.
