Plane strain problem is currently prevalent in the loess engineering. However, this problem still using conventional triaxial test method for processing. So the paper conducted the plain strain test, analyze differences in plane strain experiments with conventional triaxial experiments under different moisture content and confining pressure. Research shows two points, the first one is the impact on the strength of the soil is more under moisture content than confining pressure, the other is that the soil strength under the plane strain condition is significantly greater than conventional triaxial conditions. It shows that the results were conservative under the plane strain problem at past. It played a certain role in guiding the engineering.

Based on GM yield criterion, the analytical solutions for shape and size of mode I crack tip plastic zone and the burst pressure for X70 pipeline steel are derived. Comparing the solutions with those based on Mises and Trasca criteria shows that under plain strain condition the area of plastic zone on GM is between Tresca and Mises solutions, and very close to Mises one. Among the areas Tresca’s is the largest and Mises is the smallest and all three zones are dumbbell shaped. However, for pipeline burst pressure based on Tresca criterion is the smallest and that on Twin shear stress criterion (TSS) is the largest, those on GM and Mises are also very close to each other and lie between Tresca and TSS results.

The characteristics of deformation and strength of soils under the plane strain condition can be simplified as a two-dimensional problem. How to easily and reasonably determine the value of principal stress in the direction of plane strain is the key point. Based on the Elastic-plastic stress-strain relationship for soil and test data under the plane strain condition, it is assumed that the relationship between principal stresses in plain strain direction and the principal stresses in the other directions is bilinear. The parameters of bilinear function are determined by one-dimensional consolidation and failure state. The principal stress in plain strain direction is expressed as a function of stress states and material properties. Compared with test results, the rationality of the proposed bilinear principal stress function is testified.

The SCS-6 SiC fiber is a 142 μm diameter fiber consisting of four distinct regions of βSiC. These SiC regions vary in excess carbon content ranging from 10 a/o down to 5 a/o in the SiC1 through SiC3 region. The SiC4 region is stoichiometric. The SiC sub-grains in all regions grow radially outward from the carbon core of the fiber during the chemical vapor deposition processing of these fibers. In general, the sub-grain width changes from 50nm to 250nm while maintaining an aspect ratio of ~10:1 from the SiC1 through the SiC4 regions. In addition, the SiC shows a <110> texture, i.e., the {111} planes lie ±15° along the fiber axes. Previous has shown that the SCS-6 fiber (as well as the SCS-9 and the developmental SCS-50 μm fiber) undergoes primary creep (i.e., the creep rate constantly decreases as a function of time) throughout the lifetime of the creep test.

Assertive behavior holds important guidelines for the formation of a person's personality can be improved in group guidance, because in group guidance can be utilized the influence of a person or some individual against other members. This study aims to determine (1) the large influence of group guidance on assertive behavior in the expression of the mind, (2) large influence group guidance on assertive behavior in the expression of feeling, and (3) large influence group guidance on assertive behavior in the expression of mind to students. The research method used in this research is a simple correlation research method. The result of calculation obtained by value of porsentase influence group guidance to assertive behavior in expression of mind equal to 2,5%, in expression of feeling of porsentasenya equal to 4,4%, whereas in expression action only equal to 0,1%. So it can be concluded that group guidance has little effect on assertive behavior in the expression of thoughts, feelings, and actions. The overall influence of group guidance on assertive behavior is only 2.5%.

The present study was conducted to examine the relationship between organisational stress and organisational citizenship behaviours (OCBs) in employees of call centers. The study also further explored as how stress at work set-up has negative impact on OCBs. A sample of 250 employees working in call centre of Gurgaon belonging to an age group of 25-30 years were selected on availability basis. All were working married couples living in nuclear families. Job stress survey (Spielberger & Vagg, 1999) and Organisational Citizenship Behaviour (Bateman & Organ, 1983) were administered. Data was analysed by using simple correlation and multiple regression. Results showed the negative relationship between organisational stress and OCBs. Results of regression analysis also exhibited the negative impact of stress on OCBs. The implications for the employees are discussed.
