In this globalization era that we face nowadays, information technology is the most important thing to be learnt or just to be known. Because in this all-sophisticated era, almost all the live's aspects are related with information and technology. It's not exception to determine the level of major popularized in on of University. In it's implementation, for sure it's difficult to determine which major is being the most popular, because there are so many data, so the process of decision making run slowly if it is done with standard query on database. Here is the used of Business Intelligence is really needed. By implemented Business Intelligence, the big data can be processed without any difficulties. On this research, application that we use is TABLEAU. TABLEAU is chosen because of its ease and its velocity on processing data. So that, it's hoped can ease in decision making for determining the most popular major at Andalas University.

The present article seeks to describe how Big Data impacts on SMEs strategy, focusing both on planning and the use of strategy tools. It is a result of a participatory and practical action research in a small British Company ($2.5 Million annual turnover) specialized in business intelligence, conferences and tradeshows during 2014 to 2017. Throughout the research period, Big Data had a profound and multifaceted impact on the strategy and operations of the company, resulting in the changing of its products, adoption of new and more dynamic CRM systems, rethinking of the strategic tools utilized by the senior management and definition of new long term strategic goals. As a conclusion, it was noted that cultural predisposition to adopt Big Data technologies had a defining influence over the course of the strategic planning and operations; as the strategy for Big Data has to go beyond simply implementing technological changes – it actually has to exist before the adoption of new technologies is even considered – demanding commitment from the senior management team as well as the operational side of the business.

The inability of organizations to adapt to these changes may even lead to their deletion from the market. Blockchain is one of the most critical technologies in recent years. One of the sectors that will undergo significant changes in blockchain technology is the banking industry. According to the reviewed literature in this study, a comprehensive model has been proposed to examine the impact of security, fraud reduction and privacy of blockchain, equal and anonymous access to the blockchain, the decentralization and sustainability of blockchain, accountability and transparency of blockchain and quality, speed and efficiency of blockchain on business intelligence efficiency. A survey method was used to collect data from banks of the Nanjing city. The partial least square technique was used for data analysis.FindingsThe results showed that the fit of the proposed model was very good. Also, all assumptions except one were confirmed. It means that security, fraud reduction and privacy of blockchain factor have a remarkable and positive impact on all aspects of business intelligence efficiency, namely information technology, employees, competitors and customers. Also, equal and anonymous access to the blockchain factor has a positive and significant effect on all aspects of business intelligence efficiency. The decentralization and sustainability of blockchain factors have an impact on business intelligence efficiency. Also, blockchain's accountability and transparency as a fourth factor have a positive and significant impact on all aspects of business intelligence efficiency. Finally, the last factor (quality, speed and efficiency of blockchain) has a positive and significant effect on information technology, employees and customers' dimensions. But, it does not affect the competitors' dimension, and this hypothesis has not been confirmed.Practical implicationsThis paper offers valuable insight for business intelligence practitioners into how blockchain technology has the potential to disrupt existing business intelligence provisions.Originality/valueThis paper is one of the first studies to examine the impact of blockchain on IT dimension, organizational employees' dimension, customer dimension and competitors' dimension. This research proposes a systematic literature review (SLR) of the application of big data, analytics, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence to company management and strategic control. Thus, this paper attempts to answer the following research questions: 1) How is the literature on the application of big data, analytics, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence to management and strategic control developed in the business, management and accounting fields? 2) On which aspects of this application does the literature focus? 3) What are the implications that arise for companies? In this paper, we used a longitudinal study of research documents in the form of last-decade literature collected from Scopus database as the leading source for the international scenario. After, we selected business, management, and accounting areas, and screened the titles and abstracts of the research documents, we based the final result on 60 scientific documents as sources relevant to the aim of this SLR. The findings highlight four main topic clusters. We specifically explain smart technologies' usefulness for each analyzed business function, and, while adopting a critical perspective, we point out the interesting current streams of research resulting from the application of new sources of technology. We conclude by proposing valuable insights gleaned from the study. Thus, our results are useful for both the academic and the professional community.

Intelligence involves knowing information about some competitive factors like competitors' profitability and turnover rate. Information technology can help organizations to seize the information available. In this chapter we will present the solution architected and developed for a Portuguese company with a starting scenario that showed characteristics like dispersed information, concentration of knowledge in a single individual, no defined architecture for data or information, simple changes involving huge efforts and lack of agility. We found that business decision makers had problems of relying on the results, as the system was like a black box and often provided not accurate data. We will describe how we solved the problem, designing and implementing a business intelligence solution and the impact of having an information architecture.
