We continue an investigation into a class of agent-based market models that are motivated by a psychologically-plausible form of bounded rationality. Some of the agents in an otherwise efficient hypothetical market are endowed with differing tolerances to the tension caused by being in the minority. This herding tendency may be due to purely psychological effects, momentum-trading strategies, or the rational response to perverse marketplace incentives. The resulting model has the important properties of being both very simple and insensitive to its small number of fundamental parameters. While it is most certainly a caricature market, with only boundedly rational traders and the globally available information stream being modeled directly, other market participants and effects are indirectly replicated. We show that all of the most important "stylized facts" of real market statistics are reproduced by this model. Another useful aspect of the model is that, for certain parameter values, it reduces to a standard efficient-market system. This allows us to isolate and observe the effects of particular kinds of non-rationality. To this end, we consider the effects of different asymmetries in agent behavior and show that one in particular leads to skew statistics consistent with those seen in some real financial markets.

Every behavior is based on knowledge, therefore the success of public health insurance (Jamkesmas) program conduct by the government for poor community require communication and socialization of the program, through various existing channels. How health communication model implemented by the government in order to disseminate Jamkesmas information particularly in West Java region? The purpose of this research is to discover the direction of information stream in socialization of Jamkesmas program, through quantitative approach. In addition, sampling use multistage cluster sampling with 180 respondents. The result of the research shows that interpersonal communication with formal opinion leaders act as the main channel for poor community to obtain information. It means that the public target for strengthening or success of Jamkesmas socialization is opinion leaders such as head of the neighborhood or local community and cadres.

Twitter enjoys the fame of the most popular and widely used as a platform for socializing, including all aspects of life current affairs, religious ideas, political issues, scientific research, and general knowledge. Every single activity of day to day life and human behavior and values is lodged at this platform. Sending and receiving messages on Twitter (tweets) with is limited to 140 characters, In this research the author attempts to understand the characteristics of those Arabic rumour (falsified information stream) patterns. False tweets could be a rumour which is mostly recognized as a representative whose legitimacy, authenticity, precision and significance is either unverifiable or unreliable. Arabic rumours may propagate misinformation on social networks. In this research, the author illustrates the difficulty of Arabic rumour identification in twitter social platform by studying the impact based on Arabic tweet content. Furthermore, the author explains how these content features are too influential in measuring the credibility of those Arabic tweets.

"The new source of power is not money in the hands of a few, but information in the hands of many." The aforementioned quote from John Naisbitt seems to be even more relevant in the world of finance at this very moment. Many financial decisions come from watching the information stream, selecting relevant data, analyzing it and acting accordingly. With the increasing global competition, the need for swift data analysis, high accuracy and quality becomes a must. XBRL (Extensible Business Reporting Language)XBRL: http://www.xbrl.org/ standard was proposed to improve efficiency of data exchange in the financial domain. However; it is still struggling with interoperability problems, not to mention comparability of data or multisource data integration. This paper presents the FLORA intelligent platform: an approach for dealing with current financial information shortcomings and achieving more effective way of processing financial data based on the Linked Data principles. The article also explains the process of data extraction and semantic modeling which are the cornerstones of efficient financial data analysis. As a result, the FLORA architecture facilitates effective, data-driven, financial analyses and Web-scale integration between financial applications and platforms.

Internet is one of the main components of the information superhighway. By accessing information on networks, we as professionals can add to the information stream and disseminate research data and academic applications in a timely manner. Users worldwide can use this data to add to their ongoing research efforts. Both binary and ASCII files can be transmitted. One of the main obstacles new users must face is locating the proper area of interest. The use of FTP (File Transfer Protocol) allows users to transfer data between their server and other servers on Internet. For help in finding areas of interest there are two common systems being used. One is called Archie and allows the searching of Archie servers with key words. Substring searches can be used if you do not know the exact name of a resource. Another system is called Gopher and is menu driven. Gopher provides an easier way to search for the information you are looking for, since it allows users to move within modular menu components. LISTSERV, a mail manager system, allows the distribution of information by mailing lists in less time than regular Internet mail programs, further adding to the system efficiency.

The article presents the results of the second stage of the research titled “Transformation of the content strategies of modern radio and television broadcasting in the digital environment” carried out by a research team of the Department of Television and Radio Broadcasting, Faculty of Journalism, Moscow State University. The authors analyze the content of the morning broadcast of all-news radio stations of Moscow FM band (Business FM, Vesti FM, and Kommersant FM) in the period of 2018.05.14 to 2018.05.20 chosen by the continuous sampling method. The comprehensive study required working out a questionnaire of 25 questions to analyze various parameters from air time, running time, and type of program to interactive communication with audience. The study shows that all the three radio stations demonstrate a stable broadcast schedule and strip programming. Business FM and Kommersant FM broadcast linearly in a continuous information stream. Vesti FM includes long analytical talk-programs with experts and guests interacting with the audience via SMS. The content-analysis of the three radio stations’ morning broadcast enables the authors to confirm a previously advanced thesis that Business FM and Kommersant FM fall into the category of all-news radio stations, whereas Vesti FM does not. The latter, despite its wide variety of interprogram and structural elements, is transforming its format into news talk.

Online social media provides massive open-ended platforms for users of a wide variety of backgrounds, interests, and beliefs to interact and debate, facilitating countless discussions across a myriad of subjects. With numerous unique voices being lent to the ever-growing information stream, it is essential to consider how the types of conversations that result from a social media post represent the post itself. We hypothesize that the biases and predispositions of users cause them to react to different topics in different ways not necessarily entirely intended by the sender. In this paper, we introduce a set of unique features that capture patterns of discourse, allowing us to empirically explore the relationship between a topic and the conversations it induces. Utilizing “microscopic” trends to describe “macroscopic” phenomena, we set a paradigm for analyzing information dissemination through the user reactions that arise from a topic, eliminating the need to analyze the involved text of the discussions. Using a Reddit dataset, we find that our features not only enable classifiers to accurately distinguish between content genre, but also can identify more subtle semantic differences in content under a single topic as well as isolating outliers whose subject matter is substantially different from the norm.

Social media plays an increasing role in how passengers communicate to, and about, train operators. In response, train operators and other rail stakeholders are adopting social media to contact their users. There are a number of opportunities for tapping this big data information stream through the overt use of technology to analyse, filter and present social media, including filtering for operational staff, or sentiment mapping for strategy. However, this analysis is predicated on a number of assumptions regarding the manner in which social media is currently being used within a railway context. In the following chapter, we present data from studies of rail social media that shed light on how big data analysis of social media exchange can support the passenger. These studies highlight important factors such as the broad range of issues covered by social media (not just disruption), the idiosyncrasies of individual train operators that need to be taken into account within social media analysis, and the time critical nature of information during disruption.
