Abstract The main objective of the article is to inform about the wood flooring in combination with underfloor water heating systems. Wood is a very sensitive material that responds to its surroundings. For this reason, it is necessary to select a suitable wood, meeting the criteria of suitability for laying as flooring in combination with underfloor heating systems. It is also important to comply with the conditions of storage of wooden flooring and its installation under acceptable climatic conditions at the construction site, together with the technical regulations for the installation of wooden flooring in combination with underfloor heating systems, during the whole life cycle of the wood flooring. This article defines the basic input premise for the implementation of wooden floors in combination with underfloor heating systems, regarding the relevant technical standards and technological procedures valid in the Czech Republic. At the same time, the article describes possible failures of wooden floors in case of non-compliance with the above conditions. In the conclusion, we propose measures based on the described installation process failures of the wooden flooring in combination with underfloor heating systems, and after its use.

The advance in remote sensing techniques, especially the development of LiDAR scanning systems, allowed the development of new methods for power line corridor surveys using a digital model of the powerline and its surroundings. The advanced diagnostic techniques based on the acquired conductor geometry recalculation to extreme operating and climatic conditions were proposed using this digital model. Although the recalculation process is relatively easy and straightforward, the uncertainties of input parameters used for the recalculation can significantly compromise such recalculation accuracy. This paper presents a systematic analysis of the accuracy of the recalculation affected by the inaccuracies of the conductor state equation input variables. The sensitivity of the recalculation to the inaccuracy of five basic input parameters was tested (initial temperature and mechanical tension, elasticity modulus, specific gravity load and tower span) by comparing the conductor sag values when input parameters were affected by a specific inaccuracy with an ideal sag-tension table. The presented tests clearly showed that the sag recalculation inaccuracy must be taken into account during the safety assessment process, as the sag deviation can, in some cases, reach values comparable to the minimal clearance distances specified in the technical standards.

Abstract Significant uranium mineralization represented by a typical assemblage of uranyl supergene minerals in a quartz-uraninite vein hosted in the exocontact zone of the Variscan-Tanvald granite was found at a new construction site in the municipality of Jablonec n. Nisou. Activities of 222Rn in soil gas reached 1 MBq/m3 around two houses, with a maximum of 3.33 MBq/m3 between them on a uranium ore lens outcrop. The uranium content reaches up to 291 ppm eU (3595 Bq/kg 226Ra), and it is possible to find many ‘hot’ pieces of uranium ore fragments with a high percentage of uranium in the Quaternary cover in this place. This unfavourable situation is a result of an improper spatial planning process. The constructor was given the permission to construct the building even though the construction site did not meet safety requirements and the geological survey had failed. Not only geological prospecting was underestimated, but also the radon risk assessment was undervalued.

The society lays stress on today's buildings, particularly in terms of energy-efficient buildings and ecology of buildings. Accordingly, not only from a technical technical point of view, it is important to give sufficient attention to the foundations of building. The popular way of foundation of lightweight buildings is due to the growing interest in timber houses the foundation above a ventilated air gap so called Crawl Space. The article deals with the temperature and humidity field which is located in the air gap under the construction of wooden building in the climatic conditions of the Czech Republic.

Dothistroma needle blight caused by Mycosphaerella pini E. Rostrup was observed for the first time in the Czech Republic on an imported Pinus nigra Arnold in 1999. In 2000, it was also found in the open planting. During three years, it became an important pathogen of pines in the Czech Republic. Its occurrence was noticed in more than 50 localities, above all in the region of Moravia and Silesia and eastern Bohemia. In total, it was found on 10 species of pine (P. nigra Arnold, P.&nbsp;banksiana Lamb., <br />P. contorta Loudon, P. mugo Turra, P.&nbsp;leucodermis Ant., P. sylvestris L., P. cembra L., P. aristata Engelm., P.&nbsp;ponderosa P. et C.&nbsp;Lawson and P. jeffreyi Grev. et Balf.). Also Picea pungens &nbsp;Engelm. was noticed as a host species. In the Czech Republic, Pinus nigra is the most frequent host species of M. pini (80% localities) followed by Pinus mugo (27% localities). On Scots pine P. sylvestris, M. pini was noticed at two localities. The critical period for infection is in the Czech Republic from the second half of May until the end of June. The incubation period lasts about 2&ndash;4 months depending on climatic conditions. The first symptoms on the needles infected in the current year appear in August being clearly expressed from September to November.In the CR, Dothistroma needle blight spread probably with infected planting stock obtained from import at the end of the 80s and at the beginning of the 90s.

In addition to the results published in the first communication (Opitz von Boberfeld et al., 2006) this paper presents crude protein, energy (ME) and ergosterol concentrations of autumn saved herbage at different sites in Central Germany, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Within these sites, the influence of the factors pre-utilisation and winter harvest date was tested over three consecutive years. Related to the different climatic conditions of the sites, crude protein concentrations of the growths pre-utilised in July varied from 149 g/kg in November to 134 g/kg of dry matter (DM) in January. The influence of climatic conditions was different on each location and varied depending on the year. Generally, the consistent effect of the factor &ldquo;site&rdquo; related to altitude could not be observed. While the energy concentrations decreased with advancing winter and partly reached the values below 6 MJ&nbsp;ME/kg of DM in January, the ergosterol concentrations increased. The results demonstrate that under Central European conditions autumn saved herbage, pre-utilised in July, could provide adequate quantity and quality for suckler cows until December. Afterwards, the utilisation of preserved forages becomes essential. &nbsp;

The increasing demand of electric energy in Brazil, allied to the great consumption in rush hour, has stimulated the study of water heating systems that substitute the electric shower. One of these equipments, the solar collector, is the most viable, with the best cost-benefits relation, because Brazil is a tropical country. A heat pump can be used as a support to solar collectors in places where the climatic conditions and/or the lack of available area of solar collection limit the use of the system. One way to improve this heat pump would be the substitution of its conventional evaporator for a static evaporator. This evaporator is constituted of a metallic plate with conformed canals, inside of which the coil is fixed through which the refrigerator cooling of the heat pump flows. The objective of this paper is the development of a mathematical model in transient regimen to simulate the static evaporator operation of an air-water heat pump. Some simulations had been carried through, that had allowed testing geometric parameters of the system, materials for the pipes and plates and different weather conditions. These computational tests had indicated that the model represents a good tool to project static evaporators.

Every year, an analysis of economic results of a sample of agricultural enterprises farming in various production and climatic conditions in the territory of the Czech Republic is carried out by applying economic statistical methods. Based on these results, long-term trends of economic results and their influencing factors are defined. This article is based on the analysis of development of economic indicators of a sample of agricultural enterprises in the Czech Republic in the period 2003&ndash;2009, divided according to the proportion of the LFA. The year 2009 brought, in comparison with the previous years, a strong deterioration in economic results. In 2009, the economic result was the worst during the whole monitored period. The decrease in the average number of workers together with the increase in labour productivity manifests a long-term tendency. Agricultural subsidies tend also to grow in the long-term even though their growth has been slowing down.

In general, in the climatic conditions of the Czech Republic the inner insulation of cladding structures is an unsuitable solution to reduce heat loss of building by means of heat transfer. This statement is valid both in terms of building thermal techniques and also in terms of statics. Research focused on the hygrothermal regime of external walls insulated on the inside is very extensive. On the other hand, the systematic attention is not yet paid to detailed analysis of the consequences of such solution on the static behavior of the cladding structures. The paper focuses on analysis and evaluation of stress increase in external walls and adjacent structures caused by non-forced effects of temperature changes in the environment after the application of internal insulation.
