Abstract Traffic accidents have become a major issue in Thailand since the World Health Organization reported in 2018 that Thailand had the second highest death rate of road accidents in the world (over 24,000 deaths each year). Because the effectiveness of traffic enforcement was found to be a key factor that helps reduce the number of traffic accidents, this study examined how well the policy on traffic training programmes has been implemented and how traffic training programmes prepare traffic officials to perform their traffic duties. A random sample of 247 traffic officials was chosen from the four police regions and the Bangkok Metropolitan area to complete a survey. The results of the study show that the implementation of traffic training programmes is inconsistent with the given policy, resulting in traffic officials gaining insufficient knowledge and skills from training to do their work.

<p class="0abstract">One of the most causes to lose millions of lives around the world is Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs). According to the world health organization (WHO) report, 1.25 million people are killed each year as a result of RTAs, 20 to 50 million people were injured, and the number of killed people by RTAs is expected to increase further by 2020. The recent studies conclude that patient survival during a health emergency situation depends on the effective pre-hospital healthcare services, while the effective communication between the paramedics and prehospital staff is one of the important healthcare success factors. With the rapid growing of information and communication technology (ICT), wireless technologies and mobile services can provide viable solution to overcome the pre-hospital healthcare problems. The aim of this research is to improve the quality of prehospital emergency healthcare services at KSA by developing and implementing a mobile based emergency system. The proposed application is moving the diagnosis time to be started during traveling time witch accelerate the treatment. The proposed system shows satisfactory results in term of effectiveness and satisfaction</p>

Road traffic accidents are currently between the seventh and tenth leading cause of death in the world, with approximately 1.35 million people killed per year. Despite extensive efforts by governments, according to the World Health Organization, road accidents still cause far too many deaths, especially among pedestrians, cyclists and two-wheel motor vehicle riders, who together account for almost 50% of road traffic fatalities. In particular, Spain had 410,974 traffic accidents between 2016 and 2019, involving 722,516 vehicles and 61,177 pedestrians with varying degrees of injury. This study uses the Bayesian network method to understand how the pedestrians’ responsibility and actions at the time of the traffic accident affect the injury suffered by said pedestrian, also considering the variables of the road infrastructure and vehicles at the accident site. The results confirm that the variables linked to the unsafe behavior of pedestrians, and their responsibility in traffic accidents, increase the risk of suffering serious or fatal injuries during an accident; for example, if a pedestrian is distracted this increases his/her probability of suffering a severe injury (27.86%) with respect to not being distracted (20.73%). Conditions related to traffic in high-speed areas, areas with no or poor lighting, and areas lacking sidewalks, also record increases in pedestrian injury, as is the case in the age group of pedestrians over 60 years of age.

Road traffic accidents (RTAs) are becoming a major problem around the world, incurring enormous losses of human and economic resources. Recent reports from the World Health Organization (WHO) reveal that each year more than 1.25 million people are killed and 50 million are injured in road traffic accidents worldwide. In Saudi Arabia, statistics show that at least one traffic accident occurs every minute, causing up to 7,000 deaths and over 39,000 injuries annually. In this study, the main causes of RATs in the province of Hail are examined. The data was collected through the use of a survey which was developed to evaluate the effect of influencing parameters on RTA rate. The results show that 67% of RTAs result from human factors, 29% from road conditions and 4% from vehicle defects. Excessive speed and violation of traffic rules and regulations were found to be the main causes of RATs. Low rates of compliance with speed limit signs and seat-belt regulations were also observed. These findings highlight the need of strengthening effective traffic law enforcement alongside with improving traffic safety and raising public awareness.

According to the World Health Organization, the number of traffic accidents worldwide reaches 1.25 million people involved in them. This is one of the main causes of death of people between 15 and 29 years old. Most of these deaths are in emergent countries where the rapid economic development has occurred together with an increased use of vehicles. Apart from being a public health issue, the injuries caused by these accidents are an economic-like problem especially in low and medium income countries where their GDP shows about a 3% economical decrease. Argentine has one of the highest mortality index in the world. In 2017 there were 7.213 deaths (provisional figure obtained up to January 11, 2018). This shows a daily rate of 20 deaths and a month rate of 600 deaths. These indexes raise the need of solving this problem including about 120.000 injured people which occurred annually and the significant material losses. This project comes out with the design of a device to place in old and new cars in order to prevent frontal collisions in Argentine roads, especially in roads with only two lines. This system will first join different types of cameras and sensors operated with a software that will alert the driver in advance in various ways, for example, when a vehicle is coming frontally and the overtake is not possible. The devise could use other technologies such as chips (RID types or similar ones), GPS, laser lights and others considered appropriate to make the device more complete, effective and economically accessible.

BACKGROUND The world is experiencing a pandemic caused by a novel coronavirus. Insufficient physical activity is a key factor of social isolation strategies that can increase the risk of illness. Home based exercise activities could help during self-isolation. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to assess the availability, characteristics and accuracy of online home exercises in Youtube. METHODS A systematic search was carried out on uploaded videos on Youtube. The popularity of videos was evaluated with Video Power Index (VPI). The informational quality and accuracy of the source of information were measured using the Discern Scale and the Global Quality Score (GQS). The exercises were evaluated according to the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations. Interobserver agreement and individual correlations of each video data were statistically analyzed. RESULTS The first 150 videos were selected and, after applying exclusion criteria, 68 videos were analyzed and evaluated. DISCERN scored a mean of 2,29 (Standard deviation -SD- 0,91) with a median of 2,25 (minimum 0,50 and maximum 4,50); HON CODE scored a mean of 58,95 (SD 12,89) with a median of 57,5 (minimum 24,5 and maximum 85) and GQS scored a mean of 2,32 (SD 0,86) with a median of 2,0 (minimum 1,0 and maximum 4,5). CONCLUSIONS The quality of the existing online home exercises videos in Youtube during confinement is low and does not reflect the WHO recommendations. International health organizations must verify whether their recommendations are met on internet. Effective strategies and tools capable of evaluating the quality of this information are needed to filter out erroneous or non-rigorous information that may affect the health of people.

Diabetic retinopathy is an anomaly responsible for causing microvascular and macrovascular damage to the retina and occurs as a consequence of the worsening of diabetes. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), diabetic retinopathy is the most common cause of avoidable blindness in patients with diabetes worldwide. Early detection is important for the efficiency of treatments. Fundus Eye Image can be used to identify early disease development and monitor the patient’s clinical condition. The diagnostic process using this type of image may require some expertise from the ophthalmologist since not all retina anomalies are clearly visible. Thus, this paper proposes the development of a classification method based on Convolutional Neural Networks, but highly dense and deeper. The proposed method obtained a total of 92% AUC in the given experiments.

Traffic accidents are one of the causes of high mortality in the community. Based on information from the World Health Organization (WHO) the number of accident victims in each year amounts to 1,300,000 fatalities, this is caused by traffic accidents that exist throughout the world. The police recorded data on accidents that occurred in several regions of East Priangan namely Ciamis and Tasikmalaya Regencies for the 2016-2017 period reaching an accident rate of ± 1500. The analysis that can be done to reduce the intensity of the occurrence of these events is to use data mining processing techniques. The right method is used by looking at the condition of the data obtained, namely the Association Rules method with the calculation of the Apriori Algorithm. This method will look for patterns of data relations that are formed from combinations of an itemset, so that knowledge will appear from large datasets. The pattern of the relationship sought is the linkages of itemset variables involved in the accident by involving 4 variables that describe the identity of the perpetrators, namely gender, age, profession and level of education and 22 attributes of the dataset. The minimum limit of support, confidence and lift ratio values used in the Apriori Algorithm calculation rules is 15%, 70% and 1.1. This value is used to get many rules that have a high level of occurrence accuracy. The results of the combination pattern calculation were 3 times iterations on each number of data in each region, the pattern of associations found in the Tasikmalaya region were the relation of the professional variables and the age of the perpetrator with the attribute of the Student profession dataset and the boundary group ages 16 to 30 years, while for the pattern associations found in the area of Ciamis Regency, namely the relation between age and education level with the attribute dataset of the 16 to 30 year age group and high school education level. The accuracy of the value obtained is calculated manually and uses one of the data mining applications as a comparison of value accuracy, namely Tanagra 1.4.

Road traffic accidents claim over a million lives every year in the world. As per World Health Organization (WHO) it is one of the leading cause of death. India, being a rapidly developing country with expanding economy has its own issues as regarding road traffic accidents due to rapid proliferation of motorization. Road traffic accidents causes enormous morbidity and mortality and at the same time, the toll on the economy of the country as a result of it is quite heavy. Road traffic accident is a result of an interaction among different factors which include the environment, vehicle and the human being. Traditionally it is considered that road traffic accidents are accidents which are unpredictable, inevitable and not preventable. But road traffic accidents are indeed predictable and preventable in majority of the cases. This require the knowledge of factors contributing and leading to road traffic accidents. There are certain preventive measures which if adopted can lead to decrease in morbidity and mortality resulting from RTA. Hence, it is the responsibility of all to contribute in reducing road traffic accidents. Keywords: Road traffic accidents; Road traffic injuries; Roads in India, Road safety; Vehicular registration.
