Abstract Objectives To develop a self-report scale to measure academic motivation among nursing students and to test its psychometric properties. Methods a cross-sectional validation study with a convenience sample of nursing students (n=1,635) was performed. The Motivation Nursing Students Scale was developed; content, face, construct validity, hypothesis testing and reliability were evaluated. Results The validity structure revealed a four-factor solution and the model reached a satisfactory fit (χ2=622.835 df=160, p<0.01, CFI=0.90, TLT=0.83, RMSEA=0.060 (90% [CI] 0.055–0.064, p=0.001, SRMR=0.067). The hypothesis testing was confirmed with a positive correlation of the academic self-efficacy with Introjected, Intrinsic motivation and a negative correlation with Amotivation. Conclusions We verified a link between academic self-efficacy and motivation. Both motivation and self-efficacy may increase academic achievement and the possibility for HEIs to degrees a number of students in line with demands.

Organizational commitment is the willingness of members to have a relationship with the organization. High organizational commitment will lead to high on aspects like performance, discipline and achievement. A positive psychological state must be possessed because it can affect organizational commitment. Psychological capital is a developmental condition of a person’s positive psychological state and the emergence of self-efficacy, hope, resilience, and optimism so that it is related to organizational commitment. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between psychological capital and organizational commitment in ASN samples. Quantitative research in design and the data gathered from 125 ASN participants with at least one year of working experience in an organization or agency. Data were collected using psychological capital (PCQ) and organizational commitment scale (OCQ). Hypothesis testing was carried out with Pearson’s product moment correlation using SPSS. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between psychological capital and organizational commitment in state civil apparatus (r=0.87, p=0.000). It means the higher the psychological capital, the higher the organizational commitment. Keywords: Organizational commitment, psychological capital, state civil apparatus

Abstract Background: The present research aimed to predict the preventive behaviors of COVID-19 in the light of the Protection Motivation Theory (PMT).Methods: The present cross-sectional research was conducted in 2 months (March 2020-April 2020) in Hormozgan Province of Iran. The research population comprised all residents above 15 years of age. They received an online questionnaire survey in two parts, demographic information along with PMT constructs. To analyze the data, independent t-test and one-way anova test, Multiple linear regression and the statistical technique of path analysis and structural equation modeling was used. All statistical calculations and hypothesis testing were performed using spss21 and Amos21 software and a significant level of hypothesis testing was considered to be 0.05Results: A total number of 2,032 subjects participated in this research, the mean age of whom was 34.84±9.8 (R=15-98). The majority of participants were between 31 - 40 years old, female (60.4%), married (72%), urban residents (87.3%), holding a Bachelor’s degree or higher (58.8%) and employed (58.8%). Statistically significant positive correlation coefficients were estimated between preventive behaviors of COVID-19 and perceived vulnerability (r=0.192, p<0.001), perceived severity (r=0.092, p<0.001), response efficacy (r=0.398, p<0.001) ,self efficacy (r=0.497, p<0.001) and protection motivation (r=0.595, p<0.001). Statistically significant negative correlations were found between behavior and maladaptive behavior rewards (r=-0.243, p<0.001) and perceived costs (r=-0.121, p<0.001).Conclusions: The present findings showed that maladaptive behavior reward and fear predicted protective behaviors negatively; response efficacy and self-efficacy predicted protective behaviors positively. The effect of self-efficacy was the strongest among all. The information provided in this research can contribute to policy-making in the country.

The scope of this paper is to examine the perceptions which induce the Greek customers to purchase over the Internet, testing the direct effect of experience and the moderating effect of satisfaction. A review of research conducted in the Greek online market demonstrates that satisfaction, self-efficacy, and trust keep a prominent role in the Greek customers’ shopping behavior. To increase understanding of this behavior, two parameters of the UTAUT model, performance expectancy and effort expectancy, are incorporated. The findings demonstrate that customers’ perceptions about all of the parameters do not remain constant, as the experience acquired from past purchases increases. Moreover, the relationship of experience with self-efficacy and intention to repurchase changes, as satisfaction gained from previous purchases increases. The implications of this study are interesting not only for the Greek but also for the Meditterranean researchers and e-retailers, since the Mediterranean ebusiness market shares several cultural similarities with the Greek market.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to help readers to better understand and manage the key drivers of business model performance. Design/methodology/approach This paper investigates research on business model performance to identify and illustrate five static and dynamic performance drivers. Findings While performance mechanisms linked to traditional business model components remain instrumental for business model success, the authors argue that managers need to adopt a more dynamic view, emphasizing how changing combinations of drivers matter over a firm’s life cycle. Originality/value The proposed approach combines insights from multiple theoretical perspective into an actionable framework for management practitioners.

Procrastination is the behavior that can not take advantage of time or procrastinate doing something. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of procrastinating habits and low time management on student self efficacy in MA Soebono Mantofani. The method used is descriptive method with an associative approach. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling using a sample of 61 respondents. The analysis tool uses validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, regression analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, coefficient of determination analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of this study are the delaying habits have a negative effect on student self-efficacy of 41.0%. Hypothesis testing is obtained tcount <ttable or (-6,406 <2,001), so that H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected, meaning that there is no positive and significant influence between procrastination on student self-efficacy in MA Soebono Mantofani. The low time management has a negative effect on student self-efficacy by 39.9%. Hypothesis testing is obtained tcount <ttable or (-6.262 <2.001) so that H0 is accepted and H2 is rejected, meaning that there is no positive and significant influence between low management time on student slf Efficacy on. Simultaneous test of procrastinating habit and low time management affect the student self efficacy with a contribution of 41.7%, while the remaining 58.3% is influenced by other factors. Hypothesis testing obtained the value of Fcount> Ftable or (20.767> 2.760), thus Ho is rejected and H3 is accepted. This means that there is a simultaneous influence between procrastinating habits and low time management on student self efficacy in MA Soebono Mantofani.

This research was conducted with the purpose of knowing the influence of self-efficacy and positive thinking towards problem-solving ability in mathematics. The hypothesis of this research includes: 1) there is a direct influence of self-efficacy against mathematical problem-solving ability. 2) there is a direct influence ability of positive thinking towards problem-solving ability in mathematics. 3) there is a direct influence of self-efficacy against the ability of positive thinking. 4) there is an indirect influence self-efficacy against the ability of problem-solving through positive thinking. The methods used in this research is a survey method and hypothesis testing using path analysis. Large sample as many as 60 students, with a sampling technique used, was a combination of proportional and random, taken from the three high schools. The research instrument used is self-efficacy of 30 statements, positive thinking of 40 statements, test problem-solving skills in the form of essays as many as 10 questions, which have been tested the validity. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that: 1) there is a significant direct influence self-efficacy against the ability of mathematical problem-solving. 2) there is a significant direct influence ability of positive thinking towards problem-solving ability in mathematics. 3) there is a significant direct influence self-efficacy against the ability of positive thinking. 4) there is a significant indirect influence efficacy of self against the ability of problem-solving through positive thinking.
