Educational Escape Room is an innovative method used in classrooms to motivate students. This article describes a version of Educational Escape Room applied to undergraduate students. Specifically, this work presents an adaptation of the method called Educational Hall Escape, characterized by the resolution of challenges in a game-adapted room in which several student groups compete to finish the activity in the least amount of time. To date, the Educational Hall Escape method applied to the field of business economy has not been reported in the literature. The objective of the study is to analyze the influence of the Educational Hall Escape method on the learning processes and emotions of students during the activity and its impact on their motivation and the reinforcement their competences and knowledge. An experiment was designed in which the class was divided into a control group and an experimental group. To measure the impact of the experience in the students, two tools were used: an exam and the Gamefulquest survey. Despite the fact that the results obtained show that the students perceived the experience as a game, it improved their motivation and increased their proclivity to have an emotional bond with the subject, the academic results remained steady.

This study is to determine the effect of fun book used in a science course to enhance academic achievement and retention and to investigate student's views on the use of the fun book. Another aim of the study is to set an example for process evaluation in using fun lessons for higher education students. Participants used the fun book for reasons such as learning and not forgetting the subjects, repeating the subject in a fun way, and taking notes from the teacher. The positive aspects of using the fun book was that it enabled students to learn subjects while having fun, prevented them from forgetting material, and it made it easier for teachers to take notes by preparing for the exam. The negative aspects of using the fun book were that students said that they considered it to be exhausting and that the intensive writing caused hand pain.

The economic impact on students caused by COVID-19 seriously affected the economy of families, as well as the teaching-learning process. Unfortunately, educational institutions from preschool to higher education, which is the subject of our analysis, were forced to close their facilities. The objective of this research is to determine the economic impact generated in higher education students as a consequence of COVID-19. Supported by a case study and with the help of an electronic survey, we intend to identify elements that will help us to know the degree of economic impact on higher education students. In order to achieve the research objective, we will work under the model of a case study that will allow us to clearly and objectively identify those factors that had a significant impact on the economy of students at the higher education level. The type of research included in the study is conclusive - descriptive. The research approach is qualitative, since a survey is used to review the information under study.

This article seeks to situate journalistic practice and news reading in the midst of the concept of postmodernity and mobile platforms. Based on authors such as Kumar (1997), Featherstone (1991), Freire (2000) and Citelli (2016), and the result of a questionnaire about reading habits among higher education students, it proposes reflections about the subject-reader and its relationship with reading news on digital media. Educommunication and its relationship with journalism appear as a proposal to rescue dialogue, critical training and media literacy in a society increasingly mediated by digital devices.

The objective of the work presented is to develop emotional competencies in higher-education students by following Bisquerra’s five-block model. With the methodological support of adventure pedagogy and gamification, students improve their emotional competencies, as well as the basic competencies of the degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences and the specific ones of the subject. The proposal, which is entitled “In search of my Avatar”, aims to make sure that, in their future as sports professionals, they will be able to serve their customers in a fully competent way. The work presented proposes different activities of emotional education to work transversally in higher education, ranging from conflict management and the use of language to improve the relationship with oneself and with others. The proposal was developed for the Degree in Sports Science and for the subject of Physical Activity and Sport in the Natural Environment, but with certain adaptations, it could be transferred to any university-degree subject.
