The purpose of this thesis is to examine the response of secondary school teachers to the Tomorrow's Schools education reforms. Their early response was made largely through their union, the Post Primary Teachers' Association (PPTA), in an industrial relations setting as the reform proposals were in development and taking their final shape. The interaction between the professional project of these teachers with the proposed reforms produced an outcome for secondary school education shaped by the interaction, rather than just by the reforms themselves. A case study situated at the intersection of industrial relations, state sector and education restructurings during the period 1984-1989 is the focus of the thesis. The argument is located within French regulationalist theory. The concept of the Keynesian Welfare National State provides a means for connecting education as part of the mode of regulation with the role of the state in New Zealand. The Fourth Labour Government entered into a political project that shifted the role of the state in the economy and society. The roots of the project lay in the discourse of economic rationalism. Policy resulting from this discourse was put into operation through legislation affecting all parts of the state. In education, the discourse of economic rationalism introduced a new approach, the values of which were at odds with those of the previous education settlement of the Keynesian Welfare National State. The object of the thesis is to trace the process of change within the secondary schools sector of education through the years 1984-1989 as the two different sets of values interacted. The assumption is made that institutional change results from a dynamic interaction between new ideas and continuities and discontinuities with the past. This allows for the possibility of the effects of agency on public policy. Analysis focuses on a series of industrial negotiations between the PPTA and the State Services Commission, the negotiating body for government. They took place as various government policy documents and resulting legislation altered the positioning of teachers within the state. The negotiations were of such a character that the educational discourses of economic rationalism and the education settlement of the Keynesian Welfare National State came into conflict and were debated at length. The thesis concludes that, by the end of the negotiations and despite the introduction of legislation on education, the values of secondary teachers remained substantially unchanged and in opposition to the intent of the government reforms.

Research was conducted in Gauribidanur Taluk of Chickballapur District. According to 2011 census the total population of Gauribidanur was 80,673, Agriculture plays a prominent role here. Maize, ragi, coconut, sunflower, silkworm are the main crops. Karnataka is considered as the role model for agricultural products marketing. The use of technology to market agricultural products is seen as the most formidable measures by the government. The Karnataka government has implemented Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) in the state through an act of APMC Model Act 2003. The state has 161 APMCs to help the farmers. The online sale of agricultural products was a great hit among the farmers, the state government introduced the -Unified Market Platform (UMP) which integrated the APMCs to form a strong structure and a centralized mechanism to sell the farmer’s produce. The idea of “My Product My Price” is being promoted to ensure that farmers go on-line. Karnataka makes its agricultural market digital with Unified Market Platform. 103 APMCs have been integrated into the UMP system. 39 lakh farmers are registered under UMP, & 18,000 commission agents. Two objectives and two hypotheses have been picked up from the thesis and presented in a form of paper. Questionnaire was drafted to collect and analyze the data. Data was analyzed at three levels Macro Perspective-Kruskal-Wallis Test, Mann-Whitney U Test, Micro Perspective- ANOVA, Focused Path Analysis.
Abstract. As an independent country and has a long history that forms The Unitary State of The Republic of Indonesia, introduction to the territory and history is very necessary for Indonesia's young generation, especially for adolescents. Various efforts were made by the Government of Indonesia to provide a territorial comprehension in order to make the younger generation understand about the circumstances of their country. One effective way is through Territorial Atlas of The Republic of Indonesia, which is the result from collaboration project between Geospatial Information Agency and Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia. This atlas is intended towards the benefit of teenage children, who are taking middle education level between the ages of 12–15 years. It is necessary for children at that age to be equipped with spatial intelligence related to the territorial comprehension of Indonesia, the historical development of the Republic of Indonesia, and also the natural resources potential of their country.

This comprehension is needed considering that adolescence is a vulnerable age who require self-actualization, so they need to get a correct understanding of the NKRI region in order to foster the sense of nationalism. On the other hand, the important reason for production the Territorial Atlas is due to the rapid growth of development and the administrative area expansion, especially since the era of regional autonomy, was applied. Furthermore, another reason is that the atlases on the market were not up to date and geometrically did not obey the cartographic principle appropriately. This will cause a misconception for the reader, especially students in the middle school if they receive incorrect information.

Therefore, it is important to produce a territorial atlas that uses the mapping principle and correct geospatial data and information. The method used in production the territorial atlas is using the GIS method complemented by literature studies and focused group discussions with education and geospatial experts. In general, the atlas is a compilation of coherent and comprehensive geospatial information regarding 34 provinces in Indonesia, the history of the Republic of Indonesia, introduction of neighboring countries and also equipped with narratives and interesting photographs/images.

The results of this activity are in the form of The Republic of Indonesia Territorial Atlas which has been adjusted based on the applicable curriculum and will be disseminated to approximately 3,500 Junior High Schools in all regions of Indonesia in print and digital format. It is expected that through the atlas, the spatial comprehension of young people towards the NKRI region will be better and easier.

The struggle by the people of Zimbabwe to overthrow Ian Smith's Rhodesian regime in the 1970s won the support and gripped the imagination of democratic peoples around the world. As the struggle intensified, so it began to move away from nationalism towards liberation. Control of the state was no longer seen as an end in itself. For the vision of a socialist Zimbabwe to become reality, the state would have to be fundamentally restructured. The pace and direction of this historic movement has lain at the center of all subsequent encounters between the advanced capitalist countries and their local class allies on the one hand, and progressive elements inside ZANU on the other. While the former have busied themselves with reversing such progress as was made during the war, the latter have tried to avoid the snares and pitfalls which infest the pragmatic roads leading away from the compromise reached at Lancaster House.Education no less than other state apparatuses has been a site of struggle between the forces of accommodation to the rule of capital and those of socialist transformation. By any measure, the expansion of Zimbabwe's educational infrastructure since independence in April 1980 has been phenomenal. Awarded some Z$408 million in 1982's Budget--a four-fold increase in little over three years--the Ministry of Education now caters for 1,903,917 primary school pupils, as opposed to 819,586 in 1979. Secondary school enrollment over the same period has climbed from 66,215 to 218,430. Equally impressive gains have been registered in the number of schools and schoolteachers.

Youth and young people can play a bigger role in guarding the national development path. Various problems that arise as a result of a fading sense of nationalism and nationality have occurred recently, many young people or young people have experienced disorientation, dislocation and are involved in an interest that only cares for themselves or a certain group on behalf of the people as reasons for their activities. As the basis of the state, Pancasila must be a reference for the state in facing various global challenges in the developing world. The purpose of this study was to determine how the role of Pancasila in fostering a sense of nationalism and patriotism among high school students in Tegal Regency and to find out how the role of the government in fostering a sense of nationalism among high school students today Type of research is the literature. This research including library research because the data used is mostly secondary data in the form of documents related to Pancasila. The approach used in this research is philosophical. Fostering a sense of nationalism for high school students through Pancasila can be done from an early age, so that gradually with age it is hoped that a sense of nationalism will persist in the Indonesian nation. It can be started from the closest group, for example, family, because it is from the family that a sense of love for the country can be trained from an early age. Towards the younger generation, the State must be present as stipulated in the Preamble of the 1945 Constitution, the state protects all Indonesia's blood, including the young generation, high school children, where they are the young people of the nation who must be cared for and protected carefully.
