Research on Dynamic Characteristics of the High-Speed Cable Force Transmission

Abstract During the landing and detection missions of the Moon, Mars, and asteroids, due to the complexity and unpredictability of the landing process, it is necessary and critical to carry out simulation tests on the ground to simulate the stress state during the separation of the backshell from the lander. A high-speed cable-driven mechanism adopted. The cable force is different at the end actuator and the drum. There are many factors causing this difference, such as high acceleration, cable stiffness, cable density, cable length. In this paper, the cable force transmission of spacecraft during high-speed separation is studied. The dynamic model of high-speed cable-driven mechanism is established based on Newton principle, then the trial function is introduced, and the second-order partial differential equation is solved by using the method of space discretization. The force relationship of the cable in the process of motion is obtained, and the influencing factors of the cable force are explored. Finally, the correctness of the research content in this paper is verified by numerical simulation and experiment. The results show that the model can accurately simulate the force state of the cable, and it has guiding significance for the active high-speed separation test of spacecraft.

In this paper, effective finite element model have been developed to simulation the plastic deformation cutting in the process for a single particle via the software of ABAQUS, observing the residual stress distribution in the machined surface, the experiment of grinding cylindrical workpiece has been brought in the test of super-high speed grinding, researching the residual stress under the machined surface by the method of X-ray diffraction, which can explore the different stresses from different super-high speed in actual, and help to analyze the means of reducing the residual stresses in theory.

Interaction and wear between wheel and rail become increasingly serious with the increase in elevator speed and load. Uneven roller surface, eccentricity of rollers, and the looseness of rail brackets result in serious vibration problems of high-speed and super-high-speed elevators. Therefore, the forced vibration differential equation representing elevator guide rails is established based on Bernoulli–Euler theory, and the vibration equation of the elevator guide shoes and the car is constructed using the Darren Bell principle. Then, the coupled vibration model of guide rail, guide shoes, and car can be obtained using the relationship of force and relative displacement among these components. The roller–rail parameters are introduced into the established coupled vibration model using the model equivalent method. Then, the influence of roller–rail parameters on the horizontal vibration of super-high-speed elevator cars is investigated. Roller eccentricity and the vibration acceleration of the car present a linear correlation, with the amplitude of the car vibration acceleration increasing with the eccentricity of the roller. A nonlinear relationship exists between the surface roughness of the roller and the vibration acceleration of the car. Increased continuous loosening of the guide rail results in severe vibration of the car at the loose position of the support.

The design and durability of high-speed railway lines is a major challenge in the field of railway transportation. In France, 40 years of feedback on the field behavior of ballasted tracks led to improvements in the design rules. However, the settlement and wear of ballast, caused by dynamic stresses at high frequencies, remains a major problem on high-speed tracks leading to high maintenance costs. Studies have shown that this settlement is linked to the high acceleration produced in the ballast layer by high-speed trains traveling on the track, disrupting the granular assembly. The “Bretagne–Pays de la Loire” high-speed line (BPL HSL), with its varied subgrade conditions, represents the first large-scale application of asphalt concrete (GB) as the ballast sublayer. This line includes 77 km of conventional track with a granular sublayer of unbound granular material (UGM) and 105 km of track with an asphalt concrete sublayer under the ballast. During construction, instruments such as accelerometers, anchored deflection sensors, and strain gages, among others, were installed on four sections of the track. This paper examines the instrumentation as well as the acquisition system installed on the track. The data processing is explained first, followed by a presentation of the ViscoRail software, developed for modeling railway tracks. The bituminous section’s behavior and response is modeled using a multilayer dynamic response model, implemented in the ViscoRail software. A good match between experimental and calculated results is highlighted.

Cutting is an effective device to reduce crosswind loads acting on trains. The cutting depth, width and gradient of slope are important factors for design and construction of cutting. Based on numerical analysis methods of three-dimensional viscous incompressible aerodynamics equations, aerodynamic side forces and yawing moments acting on the high-speed train, with different depths and widths of cutting,are calculated and analyzed under crosswinds,meanwhile the relationship of the gradient of cutting slope and transverse aerodynamic forces acting on trains are also studied. Simulation results show that aerodynamic side forces and yawing moments acting on the train(the first, middle and rear train)decrease with the increase of cutting depth. The relationship between transverse forces (moments) coefficients acting on the three sections and the cutting depth basically is the three cubed relation. The bigger is cutting width,the worse is running stability of train. The relationship between yawing moments coefficients acting each body of the train and the cutting width approximately is the three cubed relation. The transverse Aerodynamic forces decreased gradually with the increase of the gradient of cutting slope, the relationship between yawing moments coefficients acting each body of the train and the gradient of cutting slope basically is the four cubed relation.

This paper proposes a fuzzy PI controller to control the speed of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The structure of the system includes the speed loop controller (SLC) and the current loop controller (CLC). The speed loop controller is the fuzzy PI and standard model (SM). The CLC includes vector control and the space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM). It compiles two closed-loop control systems for the PMSM. This research uses a very high-speed integrated circuit hardware description language (VHDL) to implement the proposed algorithm and embed it into Matlab/Simulink for simulation. Based on the PMSM parameter, this article tests the controller’s correctness with some of the load cases by changing the combined inertia and viscous friction of rotor and load. After success in simulation, the system is tested again by experiment on the FPGA kit. The simulation and experiment results show that when the load changes, the PMSM speed is still stable. The novelty of this research is that it compares two kinds of controllers between simulation and experiment results.

Abstract Objective This review article gives an account of the development of the MR-encephalography (MREG) method, which started as a mere ‘Gedankenexperiment’ in 2005 and gradually developed into a method for ultrafast measurement of physiological activities in the brain. After going through different approaches covering k-space with radial, rosette, and concentric shell trajectories we have settled on a stack-of-spiral trajectory, which allows full brain coverage with (nominal) 3 mm isotropic resolution in 100 ms. The very high acceleration factor is facilitated by the near-isotropic k-space coverage, which allows high acceleration in all three spatial dimensions. Methods The methodological section covers the basic sequence design as well as recent advances in image reconstruction including the targeted reconstruction, which allows real-time feedback applications, and—most recently—the time-domain principal component reconstruction (tPCR), which applies a principal component analysis of the acquired time domain data as a sparsifying transformation to improve reconstruction speed as well as quality. Applications Although the BOLD-response is rather slow, the high speed acquisition of MREG allows separation of BOLD-effects from cardiac and breathing related pulsatility. The increased sensitivity enables direct detection of the dynamic variability of resting state networks as well as localization of single interictal events in epilepsy patients. A separate and highly intriguing application is aimed at the investigation of the glymphatic system by assessment of the spatiotemporal patterns of cardiac and breathing related pulsatility. Discussion MREG has been developed to push the speed limits of fMRI. Compared to multiband-EPI this allows considerably faster acquisition at the cost of reduced image quality and spatial resolution.
