Methods of recycling polyethylene terephthalate waste are analyzed. Thermoplastic waste has great potential for mechanical recycling. Lack of information on the quality of recycled products and their applicability for specific purposes hinders their use. Shredding is a main process in mechanical recycling. Due to the viscoelastic properties, the cost of grinding polymer waste is several times higher than for most brittle mineral materials. Cutting and impact equipment is often used to shred plastic waste. To obtain micron-sized polymer particles, the technologies of cryogenic grinding and wet grinding in solvents are used, which is followed by high operating costs. The purpose of this work was to develop an economical method for producing fine powders from polyethylene terephthalate waste. The specific surface of the powders has been investigated. To investigate the destruction, differential thermal analysis and infrared spectroscopy were used. The technology of secondary mechanical recycling is proposed: crushing, melting of waste, natural or water cooling of the melt, grinding on equipment typical for brittle materials. A dispersed product with a proportion of micronized fraction of about 50% was obtained for use as filler in composites. The resulting product is more degraded in comparison with the feedstock. Therefore, its use as binders is advisable in applications where a decrease in initial properties is permissible, in products with a long lifecycle, for example, in the production of building materials. The use of waste thermoplastic in applications other than the original one does not always reduce the value of the technology.

The article provides a detailed analysis of the competitiveness of the Ukrainian company “Coca Cola Beverages Ukraine Limited” and suggests the main ways to increase its competitive position. To begin with, we were able to study the concept of competitiveness and determined that a competitive company is a company that achieves its goal and successfully operates in the market with a large number of competitors. We have found that it is competition that forces manufacturers to introduce new innovative manufacturing processes and new technologies that should reduce production costs and production costs. So, by improving the quality of its products, the company attracts the attention of new potential customers, which means it increases its own profit. Next, we analyzed the market where Coca Cola Beverages Ukraine Limited operates and determined that it occupies a leading position. Competitive analysis of company Coca Cola Beverages Ukraine Limited showed that the company is a powerful player in the Ukrainian soft drinks market. Today the Coca Cola Beverages Ukraine Company is the leader in its segment. The main competitor of the Coca Cola Beverages Ukraine Limited both in the domestic and an export market is PepsiCo Ukraine. We have proposed the following ways to increase the competitiveness of our company as expanding the range of products and diversifying the main business of the company. To expand the range, we propose to focus on increasing the range of juices, since the trend of healthy eating is becoming popular among Ukrainian and this will allow the company Coca Cola Beverages Ukraine Limited to conquer a new niche in the market. In terms of diversification, we suggest Coca Cola Beverages Ukraine Limited to deal with the processing of plastic bottles with their subsequent use. This will allow not only to reduce the cost of final products, but also to create a positive image of an environmentally friendly company that cares about the environment and ecology. These measures should help company Coca Cola Beverages Ukraine Limited to increase its market share and compete in the soft drinks market not only in Ukraine, but also abroad.

Setup planning is a set of activities to arrange manufacturing features into an appropriate sequence for processing. As such, setup planning can significantly impact the product quality in terms of dimensional variation in the Key Product Characteristics (KPC’s). Current approaches in setup planning are experience-based and tend to be conservative by selecting unnecessarily precise machines and fixtures to ensure final product quality. This is especially true in multi-stage manufacturing processes because it has been difficult to predict the variation propagation and its impact on KPC quality. In this paper, a new methodology is proposed to realize cost-effective, quality ensured setup planning for multi-stage manufacturing processes. Setup planning is formulated as an optimization problem based on quantitative evaluation with the Stream-of-Variation (SoV) models. The optimal setup plan minimizes the cost related to process precision and satisfies the quality specifications. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated through setup planning for a multi-stage machining process.

The aim of this research is to determine the entrepreneurs’ perception on the quality of their operation in Nigerian business environment in relation to building strong nation. It is no longer secret that most Nigerian goods cannot compete in terms of price and quality in the open international market. The problem lies in the cost profile of our manufacturing processes, inefficient design of entrepreneurship business, poor management of entrepreneurs funds which hardly been helped by the high cost of obtaining basic service that are taken for granted elsewhere. Effective implementation of policy is the best way out of these problems. The methodology adopted was conceptual in nature, intensive library work was carried out to explicate the theoretical issues, also the study relied heavily on Secondary data which is collected and published by CBN, SMEDAN, Text book, Journals, Periodicals and other related documents. The finding from the previous researchers revealed a positive relationship between entrepreneurship practices and nation building. Therefore, the study recommends appropriate authority should create a viable programme with aim of improving and enriching the effectiveness of those programmes as well as providing the necessary update to keep track of the pace of building strong Nation. And for Nigeria business environment to be salvaged from being the shadow of its former self, business policies must be backed up with appropriate funding, with commitment, Sincerity and consciousness of direction for greater good for all entrepreneur toward building a strong nation.
