This paper discusses the importance of the students ‘character building in the level of primary school/Islamic elementary school to face the globalization and information era. Education is the process of determining the nation’s character. Good or bad character of the nation in the future will be determined by the present quality of education. Building the character through Tahfidzul Quran learning approach is expected to be the main foundation to improve the degree and prestige of learners as the asset of the nation. This study aimed to describe the process of Tahfidzul Quran learning which included planning, organizing, doing action and monitoring the important role of learning itself to build the learners’ character, especially in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga.

<em>Full-day School is a learning system by emphasizing to students to be more in school with all existing activities and emphasizes on various educational activities so that students will be more able to explore themselves. With this system is able to shape the character of students by giving or planting moral and religios</em><em>ity</em><em> values. In 2016, the full-day school system was announced by the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture, Mr. Muhajir Efendi and raised the pros and cons for its implementation. Al Izzah Integrated Islamic Primary School </em><em>in </em><em>Sorong City West Papua is a leading and favorite private primary school in Sorong City, West Papua, which has been implementing a full-day school system, starting from 2006 until now. The full-day school system implemented by Al Izzah Integrated Islamic Primary School in Sorong City is different from other schools, the time is to go home late in the afternoon but the concept of implementation is different. Full-day school</em><em> of</em><em> Al Izzah Integrated Islamic Primary School </em><em>in </em><em>Sorong City refers to the Curriculum of the Integrated Islamic School Network. The system is used because the program needs a lot of time. </em><em>This is a qualitative descriptive research. The primary data source comes from the Chairperson of the Al-Izzah Foundation, the principal, teachers, and students of Al-Izzah Integrated Islamic Primary School in Sorong City. The data collection techniques that are used is observation, interview, and documentation. The data are analyzed by Miles and Huberman method.</em> <em>Student output with the application of a full-day school system at Al Izzah Integrated Islamic Primary School in Sorong City, namely tartil students reading the Qur'an and memorizing at least 2 Juz Al-Qur'an, 5 values in the field of study are complete, d</em><em>h</em><em>uha and dhuhur prayers in congregation with awareness, dedicated to parents/teachers, good social behavior, love environment, and </em><em>independence</em><em>. The output includes the characters of Al Izzah Integrated Islamic Primary School students who have character, achievement, and independence.</em>

Character building is an important step in the process of education, especially Islamic education. The occurrence of various forms of immoral behavior from the community, especially students is an increasingly problematic education today. Character building needs to be done early on to students, both within the family and educational institutions. This paper is intended to look at the process of character building in one of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah institutions in Yogyakarta that applies the Fullday school model with a boarding school education base. The formulation of the problem to be answered is about how the process of implementing the Fullday school system in fostering children's character and how to foster children's character with boarding-based values. The results of the study show that character building through the Fullday school program can run more effectively because the teacher's guidance to students is more intensive. In addition, the planting of the values of the pesantrenan can provide students with supplies, such as serving the parents, living a simple and thrifty life, discipline, and so on. Character education and coaching in MI Nurul Ummah is the parents' choice because education obtained by children outside the home can be guaranteed.

Abstract This research describes several management of MI Nurul Ummah in order to improve the quality of education in the school, the type of research in this paper is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used by interview and also with various sources both from relevant books and journals. From the results of the writing, it is known that there are some policies implemented by MI Nurul Ummah management (1) Assisting the reading of Asmaul Husna, intends to educate students characters to love Allah through Asmaul Husna, (2) The implementation of Full Day School, the application of this policy is expected to make it easier to supervise students in the school, (3) Dhuha prayer in congregation, get children to pray in congregation and a good character building, (4) The training of teachers to upgrade teachers knowledge in order to produce a good quality of education. While that which is the inhibiting factors of the policy namely internal factors (Funds, Teachers, Students) external factors (Parents of Students, Society)

The great task of education institutions or schools, particularly primary education that is shaping the personality of students through character education. Education in shaping the character of the student is a national educational purposes. One of the characters that are now considered to be relatively weak is the character of independence. The research purpose of this study was to determine the independence of character formation of students in SDIT Al Khairiyah Bogor through the implementation of Islamic full day school. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Based on the research that students' independence of character formation through the implementation of Islamic full day school in SDIT Al Khairiyah showed 40,2% of students independently on the emotional aspect, 30,9% of students independently on behavioral aspects and 57,8% of students independently on the value aspect.

The full day school system is implemented to facilitate students with strategiesand methods that provide active and enjoyable learning. Activitiesfull day learning can build interpersonal intelligence such as sensitivitysocial, social understanding and social communiction (social communication). Researchaims to analyze the implementation of a full day school system for buildinginterpersonal intelligence of students, the role of teachers and school members in buildingstudents' interpersonal intelligence, and the barriers faced by teachers and schools dalancarry out a full day school system. The research method used is a methodqualitative. The population of this study were all students and parents of SDIT studentsSamawa scholars, amounting to 1244 people. The number of samples of this study was 33people from the total population. Data collection techniques, namely documentation, questionnaires, anddocuments from school principals, and teachers. This research data analysis technique appliespercentage descriptive analysis. Based on the results of data analysis that implementationthe full day shool system to the response of parents of students at the Integrated Islamic Primary SchoolSumbawa Scholar is very significant. The reason is the implementation of the full day school systembuild intelligence both planting social attitudes and social communication as wellexemplary.

This article describes the effect of full day school program at fve grade of Nasima elementary school of Semarang to develop student religious character seen from its implementation. This research used quantitative approach in terms of correlation and the data were gathered trough questionnaire, interview and documentation. The research results shown that the implementation of full day school program at fve grade of Nasima elementary school was good at 76%, the religious character of ffth grade student is good in general up to 72% and full day school program influenced signifcantly on the nurturing student religious character at 51,8%. Therefore, full day school program in Nasima elementary school of Semarang has a great potential to encourage student religious character trough daily habituation program. Abstrak Artikel ini menguraikan pengaruh pelaksanaan full day school dalam membentuk karakter religius siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar (SD) Nasima, Semarang, dilihat dari pelaksanaan sistem full day school di SD Nasima, Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis korelasional. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh dengan cara penyebaran angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan full day school di SD Nasima dalam kategori baik yaitu sebesar 76%, karakter religius siswa kelas V SD Nasima secara umum juga dalam kategori baik yaitu sebesar 72%, dan full day school berpengaruh secara signifkan sebesar 51,8% terhadap pembentukan karakter religius siswa kelas V SD Nasima Semarang. Dengan demikian program full day school sebagaimana digambarkan di SD Nasima, Semarang, potensial sebagai program dan sistem yang dapat meningkatkan karakter religius siswa asalkan titik tekan programnya adalah pada pembiasaan nilai-nilai religius. The importance of implementing full day school in character building in elementary school students makes the writer interested in making a literature review. Character education is important to be developed and internalized immediately, because it has a noble enough purpose for the provision of students’ lives so that they are always ready to respond to all the dynamics of life with full responsibility. The research method used is literature study. The purpose of this literature review is to obtain a theoretical basis that can support problem solving regarding the application of full day school in character building for elementary school students. The results of this research shows that full day school gives positive impact for the children’s growth especially on establishing the character values since the early stage started from the elementary school.

<p class="apa">Compare to General SD (Primary school), the superiority of SD Islam Terpadu (Integrated Islamic Primary School) lies on the development of the curriculum and learning that is more emphasize on integrated curriculum and integrated learning. Curriculum model applied in Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu (SDIT) is integrated curriculum. This curriculum is being applied by creating the synergy among national curriculum of education (ministry of education), religious curriculum (Al-Islam), and local content curriculum by using full day school system. The result of this research shows that: the concept of SDIT (Islamic integrated primary school) relies on the stakeholders, who hold the education, and self-development curriculum that relies on the needs of SDIT al-Izzah plus adjustment curriculum which relies on Islamic integrated primary school networks. The concept of curriculum which is applied in SDIT al Hanif combines three curriculums namely: the ministry of education and culture, ministry of religious affairs and the stakeholders’ curriculum.</p>
