In order to consider the influence of nonlinear characteristics of porcelain pillar electrical equipment on the dynamic response under seismic excitation, a theoretical analysis method of nonlinear dynamics was raised to define the nonlinear parameter of the flange connection and establish a dynamic model of porcelain pillar electrical equipment. The theoretical analysis and the test results have a good degree of fitting, which verifies the correctness of the dynamic model and reveals the nonlinear seismic response law of the porcelain pillar equipment. According to the results, both the nonlinear calculation results of the displacement at the top end of the porcelain pillar and the stress at the bottom end of the porcelain pillar are smaller than the results in the linear calculation. The difference between them increases gradually with the increase of seismic excitation. The differences in displacement and stress at a seismic excitation of 0.5 g are 14.58% and 23.25%, respectively. When the nonlinear parameter increases to a certain value, the impact of maximum stress on the bottom of the porcelain pillar is very small and the change is not obvious. The research provides a theoretical reference for the seismic design of pillar electrical equipment.

Stress path is one of the very important factors of soil strength. It is significant to study the strength and reveal the importance of the impact of sand in different stress path conditions. Firstly, an ameliorating approach on implementing for the reduced triaxial extension by the conventional triaxial apparatus was discussed. Then, In order to study shear behaviors of the eolian sand under different stress path, two monotonic shearing tests with the conventional triaxial compression and the reduced triaxial extension stress path were performed and analyzed. The test results not only indicate that the amelioration on conventional triaxial apparatus is simple, practicable and inexpensive, but also reveal the difference of strength’s parameter between the reduced triaxial extension and conventional triaxial compression stress path. In sum, the stress path has important effect on the strength of the eolian sand.

Point-kernel integral method, which has been verified by authorities, is widely used in radiation shielding calculations. In this article, we introduced point-kernel integral method in detail. Calculations have been performed for the radiation shielding design of TEG (gaseous waste processing system) system of one Chinese CRP1000 reactor, using the point-kernel integral codes QAD-CGA and Microshield 9. Dose results calculated by the two representative codes are compared from several aspects. We also focus our discussion on the impact of buildup factors that are fitted by different kinds of methods, which are the most important parameters in point-kernel integral method. From the discussion in this article, we can draw the conclusions that 1)both of the two codes are of accurate and consistent calculation results, shielding calculation results are convinced; Microshield 9 proved to be reasonably reliable compared to results of traditional code QAD-CGA; 2) compared with QAD-CGA, Microshield 9 uses the latest database and simpler input form, but cannot calculate more than one source at one time; 3) buildup factor plays the most important role in point-kernel integral method; the two codes adopt different kinds of buildup factor fitting method; for the difference of dose calculation results using buildup factor or not, QAD-CGA is a little higher than Microshield 9 because of the different buildup factor calculation principles; 4) besides, the buildup factor reference material is advised to use either the last or the most dominant shielding.

SUMMARYFrom 1958 to 1962 over 800 boars and 3,000 sows were progeny tested at the national pig progeny testing stations in Great Britain. Their test results for four traits (daily gain, feed efficiency, average backfat and carcass length) have been used to study the amount and effectiveness of selection and to review the use of the test facilities and their effect on pig improvement. The amount of selection on test results was studied by measuring the difference in performance of animals with sons subsequently tested and all contemporary tested animals. The selection differentials found were from 0·05 to 0·30 standard deviation units for the four traits studied which represents a rather mild degree of selection. Thus selection could have had only a small effect in improving the testing population. In fact sons of tested animals showed little advantage over their contemporaries in test performance. Parent-offspring regressions were calculated and these, in agreement with theoretical estimates, indicated that selection would be effective and would lead to genetic changes in any of the four traits studied. Genetic correlations among the four traits were also calculated and indicated genetic compatability in improving the four traits concurrently. Two proposals intended to increase the impact of testing on pig improvement are put forward. These are (1) to restrict the testing facilities to a small nucleus set of breeders who could concentrate on testing and selection and (2) to replace the progeny testing by performance testing which would allow a more intense selection and a greater rate of improvement for the same testing facilities.

The impact of human mobility on the spreading of disease in a metapopulation is emphasized on interconnecting between patches, whereas the current volume of movement within the local population is usually neglected. Here, the role of internal commuters is taken into account by two means, a local transmission rate and the volume of internal commuters. Dynamic model of human mobility in the metapopulation with gravity coupling is presented. In conjunction with the disease spreading, the impact on invasion threshold and epidemic final size are analyzed. For two-patch model, we show that under fixing parameters in gravity model, the existence of invasion threshold depends on the difference of local transmission rates and the proportion of internal commuters between two patches. For a fully connected network with an identical transmission rate, the difference in patch final sizes is driven by patch distribution of internal commuters. By neglecting the effect of spatial variation in a simple core–satellite model, we show that the heterogeneity of internal commuters and gravity coupling induce a complex pattern of threshold, which depend mostly on the exponent in gravity model, and are responsible for the differences among local epidemic sizes.

Antitrust law includes a number of evaluation norms in system of commodity market analysis and proofs of anti-competitive behavior, which provide for using wide range of economics and marketing methods. The widest field of discussing embedded in definition “price discrimination”. Specific research interest presents the making recommendations of regulation of shortage markets with unfounded differences in prices. This question we propose to consider in two articles: in first article we make theoretical analysis of price discrimination in situation of shortage markets, in second article (will be published in no. 4) we analyze marketing aspects and system of sales stimulation, which the seller accomplish on the shortage markets. In the focus of this research is price discrimination as a market mechanism and shortage markets as a market anomaly. The shortage markets in contrast of shortage on the market occurs not for reason that price is below the equilibrium level. The main reason of genesis of shortage markets is speculative demand on the markets and/or difficulties in producing goods and services. These difficulties often set by outside shocks. Price discrimination undergoing of effect of long-run shortage on markets transforming in phenomenon, which damages of consumer wealth and entrepreneurs benefits. In addition, this type of price discrimination decrease the social welfare too. The risks of price discrimination in the case of shortage markets needed new decisions and methods of regulation by state. However now we do not see some consensus in the issue of principles and instruments of state regulation of shortage markets. In the article we try to approbate some scientific results. These results are the hybrid definition of price discrimination; the legislative definitions of price discrimination as a acts which limiting competition; the criteria of functioning of shortage markets; proofs of transforming markets through the impact of long-run shortage; the difference between the case of shortage markets and the case of shortage on the markets in the classical demand-supply model; costs of price discrimination on the shortage markets; perspective antitrust regulation of price discrimination on the shortage markets.

In this paper, we report some ab initio calculation results of three perfect stoichiometric alloy systems Ni2XGa (X = Mn, Fe, Co). The calculations have been performed on optimizing the crystal structures in both austenitic and martensitic phases, the electronic density of states (DOS), the magnetic properties and the difference of charge distributions on considering that Mn, Fe, Co are adjacent to each other within one period in the periodic table of elements, and they are all ferro-magnetic. We have shown the impact of these magnetic elements on several properties of each alloy. Study on these three Heusler alloy systems is important in view of property prediction.

A new type of two-dimensional (2D) piston pump with a stacked cone roller set was introduced to eliminate the influence of the gap between the guiding rail and the cone roller. First, the structure and working principle of the 2D piston pump were studied; then, a corresponding mathematical model which considered the oil viscosity and oil churning loss caused by the rotation of the guiding rail in the enclosed chamber was established to examine the volumetric and mechanical efficiency of the 2D piston pump. The effects of different speeds, load pressures, and rolling friction coefficients between the guiding rail and the cone rollers on the efficiency were considered. During the test, when the speed was 6000 r/min and the load pressure was 6 MPa and 8 MPa, the volumetric efficiency reached 98.3% and 96.8%, respectively, basically consistent with the theoretical analysis. Because the temperature rise of the tested pump caused the oil viscosity and the eccentricity of the piston and piston rings increased the leakage, the test result was slightly lower than that of the theoretical analysis. When the speed was 1000 r/min and the load pressure was 5 MPa, the mechanical efficiency was 69.3%, and the mechanical efficiency model was consistent with the test results. However, with the increase in speed and load pressure, the difference between the test results and theoretical analysis results increased because the supporting force of the cone roller on the guiding rail increased, increasing the rolling frictional losses.

The Subject. The article is devoted to impact of coercion to the difference of legal statuses between law-obedient individuals and abusers. The purpose of the article is to identify the difference between the impact of coercion on law-obedient citizens and abusers.Methodology. The author uses theoretical analysis as well as legal methods including formal legal analysis and the method of social modeling. Results, scope of application. It is proved that a certain difference (in the categories of phys-ics) should exist between the legal status of law-obedient individuals and abusers there is a certain difference. Where there is no such difference, there is no place for coercion.Conclusions. The author comes to the conclusion that the essence of any punishment is the deprivation of certain benefits, which means the difference between the status of a person who did not conflict with the criminal law and those who entered into such a conflict. The magnitude of the difference depends on the severity of the crime.
