<span>The aim of the research was to determine the effectivity of implementation of </span><span lang="IN">e-learning</span><span> science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (E-STEM) project-based learning model in teaching science to improve information, communication, and technology (ICT) literacy and problem solving. The study adopted quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. E-STEM project-based learning model was applied in experimental classroom, while the control classroom applied conventional teaching. The sample was 46 students who was selected using cluster sampling method. They were in grade VIII academic year 2020/2021 which representing the population students of Junior High School 8, in Aceh Besar, Indonesia. The data were collected using test instrument and questionnaires. Validity verification of instrument measured based on Aiken index, while instrument reliability was determined based on Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The data were analyzed using Manova and descriptive quantitative. The result of the study showed that there is meaningful difference of ICT literacy and problem solving mean score based on the difference of both teaching approach. It is concluded that the implementation of E-STEM project-based learning model and problem solving in teaching science has significant impact in increasing ICT literacy and problem solving.</span>

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) learning model and its impact on the students’ creative problem-solving ability. The study was conducted on eighth-grade students of Junior High School 24 (SMPN 24) Bandar Lampung, Indonesia, on the Substances Pressure subject matter. This is quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design. The independent sample t-test showed that the SSCS model influences the students’ creative problem-solving ability, of which the experimental class is higher than the control class. Furthermore, the results of the effect size obtained the d value of 2.39, indicating the SSCS learning model is effective for the students' creative problem-solving ability which belongs to the high category.

Learning physics should be able to provide an understanding physics of abstract concepts. One of the efforts being made to improve the learning of Physics is to use appropriate learning model. This study aims to improve the student’s conceptual understanding by using project based learning model with virtual media for X Grade student at SMAN 2 Mataram Years 2015/2016. This study was conducted using a type of quasi-experimental research, untreated control group design with pretest and posttest on Optic. Hypothesis test results that the model used to give effect to the  student’s conceptual understanding, was shown to increase student conceptual understanding was higher in the experimental class compared with the control class. N-gain test results stating that the conceptual understanding has increased in each sub material. The results of the analysis conceptual understanding score on every aspect of cognitive increased.

This study aims to determine the comparison of students 'mathematical representation ability through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) Model and the students' mathematical representation ability through the conventional model. The PjBL model is a student-centered, innovative, project-based learning model and positioned teachers as effective facilitators in the contextual learning related to real life situation. This research employed quasi-experimental design. The research applied the posttest only non-equivalent control group design through randomized cluster sampling. The data collection technique used was test. The instrument used to collect the data was the essay test. Data analysis was conducted using independent sample t-test. The result of the data calculation through the Independent-Sample T-Test test obtained the significance level of 0.913 means that the students’ mathematical representation ability was better after the learning through Project Based Learning (PjBL) model was conducted compared to the students' mathematical representation ability through a conventional model. This means that the PjBL model is more influential on students' mathematical representation ability.

This study aims to study: the differences between students who take part in spending with a project-based learning model and students who follow learning with conventional models of student learning motivation. This study was a quasi-experimental study with nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were fifth grade students of Public Elementary School 167 Pekanbaru in 2018/2019. Data collection using tests to determine critical thinking skills and questionnaires to learn learning motivation. Data analysis using t-test and Manova with a significance level of 5%. The results of this study indicate that there are differences between students who take part in spending with a project-based learning model with students who take learning with the conventional model on student learning motivation with the results of data calculations also understand Thitung at 17.412 and P = 0.00.

<p>This research is aimed to find out:  (1) the differences learning outcomes between project based learning aided edmodo model  and conventional learning (2) the effectiveness of using project based learning model to increase learning outcomes of two dimentional animation techniques. This research used quasi experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research are students of class XI 1 and XI 3 multimedia program of Vocation High School Batik 2 Surakarta with 70 students. The technique of data collection used test to find out cognitive value and observation to find out affective and psychomotor values. The data analysis used were t-test formula and gain index analysis. The result showed that : (1) there was difference learning outcomes between project based learning model and conventional learning model at eleventh grade students of vocational high school Batik 2 Surakarta which shown by t_count= 4,435 cognitive, t_count= 2,175 affective, t_count  = 2,344 psychomotor were bigger that t_table = 1,995. (2) project based learning is more effective than conventional learning model to increase learning outcomes of two dimentional animation techniques which shown by gain index analisys, at experiment class obtained 0,587 and control class obtained 0,369.</p>

The purpose of conducting this research is to compare the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning learning model and the Project Based Learning learning model in terms of the critical thinking skills of elementary students. This type of research used in this research is Quasi Experimental with experimental design of Post test-Only Control Group Design. The population in the study were 164 five grade students in Diponegoro Salatiga Cluster, while the sample is 111 students of five grade students in SDN Mangunsari 01, SDN Mangunsari 03, and SDN Mangunsari 05. The results obtained from this study are based on descriptive statistics where the average implementation of the Problem Based Learning learning model is 92.46, while the average implementation of the Project Based Learning learning model is 85.15. the results of critical thinking skills in the Problem Based Learning model are higher than the Project Based Learning learning model reinforced by the T test results obtained by the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0, 047 0.05 thus there is a significant difference between the two groups.

This study is an experimental study that aims to knows the influence of participative learning model used problem solving methode towards learning physics achievement of studens in SMPN 3 Batukliang. Research design using pre-test - post-test control group design. Sampling using random cluster sampling, the students of class VIII-A as the experimental group and the students of class VIII-B as a control group. The learning physics achievement data of students were analyzed using t-test formula two parties polled variance. At the significant level of 5% and dk of 53 obtained that ttest is less than ttable (1.66< 2.007). Because  that ttest is less than ttable  therefore H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. Therefore, it can be  concluded that the participative learning model used problem solving methode is not influential significantly towards learning physics achievement of studens in SMPN 3 Batukliang.

The purpose of this study is to examine the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model that influences students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is a quantitative research using a quasi-experimental approach. The quasi-experimental design used is a posttest-only control group design. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling technique in order to obtain two class groups with different treatments. To obtain data in this study, the instrument of student learning activity sheets and test questions of students' mathematical problem solving abilities was used. The data analysis techniques used consisted of descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of this study reveals that there is significant effect of the MMP learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities as indicated by the achievements: (1) student learning activities with the MMP model carried out both by teachers and students are in the very good and good category; (2) the mathematical problem solving ability of students who were treated with the MMP model was 71.60 higher on average compared to students who were treated with the conventional learning model of 35.48; (3) the mathematical problem solving ability of students who were treated with the MMP model was better than students who were treated with the conventional learning model.

This  research   was   conducted   in one of junior high school in Tangerang academic  year  2015/2016.  Aimed  to analyze the effect of CPS model on the students’ mathematical adaptive reasoning skills. The method used in  this  study  was a quasi   experimental   method with randomized posttest only control group design. Samples were obtained as many as two classes by cluster random sampling technique.  Based  on  result  of  hypothesis this    show    that    students’ mathematical adaptive    reasoning      skills    who    were taught  by  creative  problem solving  model was   higher   than   the students’mathematical adaptive reasoning skills of those who were taught by conventional model

Abstract-this study aims to know, analyze and evaluate the differences of students’ critical thinking skills by using problem based learning model and conventional models. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with quantitative approach using Nonequivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control-Group Design. The data collection technique used in this study is using the test. The data analysis technique is done by independent t-test sample. Moreover, this research shows the significant differences if seen from the average of percentage of  experiment class; pretest is less while posttest is so gratified. The result of pretest control class is less and posttest is enough The results of this research give the recommendation for teachers and next researchers to apply problem based learning model to enhance critical thinking ability of students. In addition, problem based learning model is also expected to encourage students to be able to solve problems encountered in everyday life, especially in social studies.Keywords: Problem based learning, conventional learning model and critical thinking.
