Technology is so advanced that it could replace one of our senses. If it could replace one of our senses surely it could act as a sense for physically challenged people. Taking this into consideration, this proposed paper explored the possible ways to bring technology into the life of such people. And it happened to stumble upon deaf-blindness. The proposed system enables deaf-blind people to communicate via Braille vibrations through smart phone application. It can be achieved by developing an operating system that tends to fulfill the needs of physically challenged which can be developed by using the open source package android. The outcome of the proposed work would be able to allow the physically challenged people to use the smart phones in a way that a normal person would use it today.

The importance of communication increases development of information and communication technology in world so rapidly, especially in telecommunications equipment. Mobile phone or smart phone is one type of communication tools that provide communication services to a wide range of features offered but the services offered are not free. Handy Talky is applications and services to communicate for free with the use of smart phones based on Android and has a wifi enable this feature. This communication utilizing wifi network at a frequency of 2.4 GHz as to communication network. Test the application is done by trying on some of the features on a smart phone application with different specifications. From the test produced a smart phone that can run the application properly in some smart phones with Android operating system version 4.2 and above, and the smartphone is connected to a wifi network

Robot Operating System (ROS) is an open source robot software framework which provides several libraries and tools to easily conduct different robot applications like autonomous navigation and robot teleoperation. Most of the available packages across the ROS community are addressed for controlling a single robot. In this paper, we aim to extend some packages so, they can be used in multi-robot applications on ROS. Mainly, the multi-robot autonomous navigation and multi-robot smart phone teleoperation are addressed in this work. After being extended and compiled, the new packages are assessed in some simulations and experiments with real robots.

Plenty of study has been done about the Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL), which still hasn’t found its way into the English vocabulary learning. This empirical study aims to explore an effective way of vocabulary learning through the APP of WeChat on smart phones which are prevalently used among college students. 30 students participated in a WeChat group and were given word tests before and after the research respectively. A questionnaire survey was done a month later. The empirical result shows that it is easy for students to accept this new way of learning and most of them could follow the schedule. They have enhanced their self-regulation study ability and are encouraged to explore various methods to improve their study via smart phone Apps.

The VoIP communication system at OMNI Hospital Alam Sutera uses the Elastix 2.5 server with the Centos 5.11 operating system. Elastix 2.5 by the developer has been declared End of Life. The server security system is a serious concern considering that VoIP servers can be accessed from the internet. Iptables and fail2ban applications are applications that are used to limit and counteract those who try to attack the VoIP server. One application that can be used as an open source VoIP server is the Issabel Application version 4.0. The migration process from Elastix 2.5 application to Issabel 4.0 by backing up all configurations in the Elastix 2.5 application through a web browser including the configuration of endpoints, fax, e-mail, asterisk. After the backup file is downloaded then upload the backup file to the Issabel 4.0 application then run the migration process. Adding a backup path as a failover connection is needed because the VoIP communication protocol between the OMNI Hospitals Group still uses one path so that when there is a problem in the connection path, the communication protocol will stop. The tunnel EoIP is a protocol used as a backup path between the OMNI Hospitals Group site.

In this technological world, smartphones can be considered as one of the most far-reaching inventions. It plays a vital role in connecting people socially. The number of mobile users using an Android based smartphone has increased rapidly since last few years resulting in organizations, cyber cell departments, government authorities feeling the need to monitor the activities on certain targeted devices in order to maintain proper functionality of their respective jobs. Also with the advent of smartphones, Android became one of the most popular and widely used Operating System. Its highlighting features are that it is user friendly, smartly designed, flexible, highly customizable and supports latest technologies like IoT. One of the features that makes it exclusive is that it is based on Linux and is Open Source for all the developers. This is the reason why our project Mackdroid is an Android based application that collects data from the remote device, stores it and displays on a PHP based web page. It is primarily a monitoring service that analyzes the contents and distributes it in various categories like Call Logs, Chats, Key logs, etc. Our project aims at developing an Android application that can be used to track, monitor, store and grab data from the device and store it on a server which can be accessed by the handler of the application.
