This study highlights use of the clothing taskscape (CT) to assess user needs, characterize design problems, and develop design criteria by considering relationships across people, their clothing, environments, activities, and tasks. Two case studies—a liquor store uniform and outdoor winter sporting clothing for seated clients—are used to illustrate how the CT may be operationalized. Data collection included observation and interviews to identify problems and determine design attributes needed in our respective clothing categories. Data were thematically analyzed. Findings in the uniform case study included problems related to uniform styling, fit, fabric, branding, and visual identity. Findings in the winter sporting clothing case study included procurement, garment styling, fit, branding, visual identity, storage of personal effects, storage of large-sized garments, and laundering practices. Use of the CT has the potential to guide designers toward more holistic assessment of the use scenario to assess user needs and develop design criteria.

The case study was taken from one of  trading companies in Lampung. The company sells Muslim fashion products from a large number of suppliers. Suppliers data is recorded in detail manually, as well as products recorded. Manual data collection can result in recording errors, data easily tucked, or not recorded. This research develops an information system to help the company in data collection of suppliers and products automatically based on web  using Laravel as a framework. This system is built using extreme programming methods and has features that focus on collecting suppliers, products, and product shipments. The results of system testing using the black box testing method shows that the system has fulfilled functional requirements and user needs.   Keywords— Management Information System; Product; Supplier.

This paper proposes a rain coat design and development process based on objective analysis of user needs. The proposed raincoat is developed aiming at children for age group 7–8 years. The proposed design process starts with personal interviews and participant observation. The user needs analysis will be realized in this process regarding the user need categories of functional, expressive, and aesthetic needs. These needs led to the further development of design criteria. These criteria were then translated into raincoat attributes and used in the development of a raincoat prototype. Finally, the raincoat prototype was evaluated regarding the design criteria. Kata kunci: kitab, jenis karya, pencetakan tradisional, Sunda, Pegon, Jawa Barat This paper discusses the phenomenon of the spreading of religious printed books (kitabs) in West Java, especially in Sukabumi and Cianjur, which are characterized by the use of Arabic writing in Sundanese (or known as Pegon script). The printed books (Kitabs) of those types are produced and reproduced, and are still used to this day. Therefore, this phenomenon can be called as a “living tradition”. Data collection was conducted by tracing and recording religious books (kitabs) that are pro-duced (rewritten or compossed) and reproduced (printed or duplicated) with a simple method, known as photocopying and traditional printing such as stencils, screen printing, and “shop printing”. This paper aims to map and revise the categorization of these Kitabs from previous studies based on the types of works including original essays, tuqilan (quotations), translation, sharh (explanation), khulaṣah (summary), or the other, and also based on the language and the script used. In addition, this paper also observes the institutions or individuals that are still reproducing these printed religious books such as the printing company or pesantren that publish such kitabs. At the end of this article, there are some suggestions in attempts to preserve those printed kitabs and the works. Keywords: Kitabs, type of work, traditional printing, Sunda, Pegon, West Java
