This special issue of the European Educational Research Journal presents a series of research papers reflecting the trends and evolutions in conceptual frameworks that took place within the EERA 27 ‘Didactics – Learning and Teaching’ network during its first ten years of existence. Most conceptual tools used in this field were elaborated in different socio-historical contexts for education and schooling delineated by nations and/or linguistic regions in Europe. This issue suggests possible integrative paths between certain frameworks debated in the Network 27 through co-authored papers. Crossed perspectives on the papers highlight certain important foci in the study of learning and teaching processes: (i) ‘Bildung’ discussed within didactics as a European research field; (ii) Educational goals, content and teaching methods expressed in curricula; (iii) Curriculum making processes; (iv) Teaching qualities, teaching (joint) actions and classroom discourses; and (v) Collaborative practices in teacher professional development. Finally, two strands of comparative research in didactics are sketched for increasing synergies in the field.

Administration can be interpreted as an activity or business to help, serve, direct or manage all activities in achieving a goal. Meanwhile, educators are professionals who are involved in the process of learning and teaching, evaluating learning outcomes, conducting coaching and training, and conducting research and community service. And education administration that supports administration, management, development, supervision, and technical services to support the education process in the education unit. The purpose of the education of educators and education personnel who support the education system is to provide eligibility for educators in carrying out their duties both as educators and nursing staff in schools. This article outlines the original research concept developed and applied by the Voronezh researchers, which brought both quantitative and qualitative results to the field of linguistic comparative research. Their monograph is devoted to the macrotypological unity of the lexical semantics of the languages in Europe. In addition, semantic stratification of Russian and Polish lexis has been analyzed. Their research concept is now known as the “lexical-semantic macrotypological school of Voronezh.” Representatives of this school have created a new research field in theoretical linguistics – a lexical-semantic language macrotypology as a branch of linguistic typology. The monograph has been widely discussed and reviewed in Russia.

With the development of information technology, many applications of robots are increasingly being applied to support research, learning, and teaching. This paper mainly investigates the modeling and simulation of a robotic arm with 3 degrees of freedom (dofs) for different applications. First, Kinematics and dynamics model of the robot based on the standard Denavit Hartenberg (D-H) modeling method, where the forward kinematics of robot is analyzed and computed to obtain by using the inverse kinematics, and then the solution of the robot dynamics is derived. Second, a CAD model of the robot is designed on CATIA software to convert to MapleSim software to simulation and control. Final, numerical simulation is presented to display results. This work provides a potential basis for the realization of the robotic arm in the industrial, education, and research field, which is of great significance for improving manufacturing efficiency and support teaching and research in the robot field.

Three Dimensional Virtual Worlds (3DVW) have been substantially adopted in educational and pedagogical fields worldwide. The current study conducted a systematic literature review of the published research relevant to the application of 3DVWs in higher education. A literature search was performed in eight high-ranking databases, and following scrutiny according to inclusion criteria, 164 papers were selected for review. The systematic literature review process was summarized, reviews undertaken by the authors, and results about the applicability of 3DVWs in higher education were extracted. A wide variety of application areas for the 3DVWs in higher education were found, and were classified into five main categories. Various 3DVW platforms and virtual environments used for educational goals were also identified. The results revealed Second Life as the most popular 3DVW platform in higher education. This study also found that by using 3DVW technology a wide range of virtual environments and virtual tools have been designed and applied in teaching and learning for higher education.

Tecnologias Educacionais. Comunicação e Interatividade. Ensino e Aprendizagem. AbstractThis paper presents the communication and interaction processes promoted by Teachers in the virtual classes production in Virtual Learning and Teaching Environment. The process of this research is: How are Teachers’ Learning distance mode’s textual productions worked? This question is relevant because when techniques are used that emphasize participatory student interaction, the knowledge construction becomes more effective. Thus, this study aimed to elucidate possible educational interventions, where communication is indicated as part of the learning mediation process and the technology use for strategies aimed at knowledge appropriation. For this purpose, it was used search literature and analysis of the web materials production prepared by Teachers acting in a private university in a city in the North of Paraná. From this, the data analysis showed that despite the teachers consider themselves prepared for the use of technologies, such actions do not really materialize in changes in the way of dealing with distance education. Based on the results, it was intended to offer a contribution to the research field and the need to promote discussion aboutdialogical communication, in order to create greater autonomy in studies by the students through interactive quality processes. Keywords: Learning Distance.
In the last few decades, a large portion of scientific literature has been dedicated to the questions of realization of teaching and its improvement. However, one question remains in the background – folk pedagogies and their influence on teaching. The main objective of this paper is to help us get acquainted with this phenomenon that exists in the teaching practice, its significance and pedagogical implications. In the first part of the paper, we deal with definitions of folk pedagogies and related concepts and their mutual relationship, in order to analyze the similarities and differences in the meaning of the concepts in use. Starting from important determinants of teachers’ folk pedagogies, we will attempt to reassess some of the proposed methods and ways to raise consciousness about teachers’ folk pedagogies, methods to analyze and change them. Based on the existing knowledge on teachers’ folk pedagogies, we will try to point out their significance and implications they have on education practice.

Starting from the existing findings about folk pedagogies, we have separated three important implications for educational practice: a) teachers should be viewed as creators of their own coherent theories about learning and teaching; b) changing and improving one’s teaching practice is a result of the teacher’s willingness to reflect on his or her own folk pedagogies; and c) teachers’ folk pedagogies should be seen as the starting point for teacher professional development programs.
