Behavior of woven fabrics during complex deformations is most influentially affected by their shear behavior. Shear characteristics of woven fabrics can be explained by fabric shear rigidity and shear hysteresis. In this study, the effects of weft density, weft count, and fiber type on shear behavior of woven fabrics in the principal directions of fabric were statistically evaluated. Statistical methods such as multiple linear regression analysis, univariate test, and correlation analysis were also applied. The univariate test results confirmed that the weft density is the most dominant parameter that affects fabric shear properties. Multiple linear regression results point to poor shear behavior in woven fabrics with cotton weft yarns. In addition, correlation between the shear rigidity of the fabrics along principal directions with the Milasius fabric firmness factor and the fabric cover factor as integrated structural parameters was established. High correlation was found to exist among Milasius fabric firmness factor, fabric cover factor, and shear rigidity of fabrics along principal directions.

Purpose Bending and shear rigidities of woven fabrics depend on fibre, yarn and fabric-related parameters. However, there is lack of research efforts to understand how bending and shear rigidities change in woven fabrics having similar areal density. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the change in bending and shear rigidities in plain woven fabrics having similar areal density. Design/methodology/approach A total of 18 fabrics were woven (9 each for 100 per cent cotton and 100 per cent polyester) keeping the areal density same. Yarns of 20, 30 and 40 Ne were used in warp and weft wise directions and fabric sett was adjusted to attain the desired areal density. Findings When warp yarns become finer, keeping weft yarns same, bending rigidity remains unchanged but shear rigidity increases in warp wise direction. When weft yarns are made finer, keeping the warp yarns same, both the bending and shear rigidities of fabric increase in warp wise direction. Similar results for fabric bending and shear rigidities were obtained in transpose direction. There is a strong association between fabric shear rigidity and number of interlacement points per unit area of fabric even when fabric areal density is same. Originality/value Very limited research has been reported on the low-stress mechanical properties of woven fabrics having similar areal density. A novel attempt has been made in this research work to investigate the bending and shear rigidities of woven fabrics having similar areal density. Besides, it has been shown that it is possible to design a set of woven fabrics having similar bending rigidity but different shear rigidity.

Spun yarns are almost entirely produced using ring, rotor and relatively new air vortex spinning systems. In this study, shear properties of fabrics woven with cotton, viscose, and polyester yarns spun using ring, rotor, and vortex spinning systems were investigated. Experimentally determined shear characteristic-related factors, such as initial shear rigidity, shear rigidity, shear hysteresis at a 0.5 degree shear angle, and shear hysteresis at a 5 degree shear angle along the principle directions, were statistically analyzed. In addition, differences between the shear behaviors of the woven fabric samples were identified using the digital image correlation (DIC) technique. While our analyses confirm the statistically significant difference between the shear behavior of samples woven with ring-spun yarns and samples woven with rotor and vortex yarns in the weft direction, no significant difference in shear behavior between the samples woven with rotor and vortex yarns was observed. It was found that the yarn spinning system has no significant effect on fabric shear characteristics in the warp direction. It also was concluded that the DIC technique can successfully be used to analyze the differences in shear characteristics of fabrics woven by various type of spun yarns.

The study aims to analyze the influence of internal banking factors in the form of: Capital Adequency Ratio (CAR), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) and Total Assets (TA) to Non Performing Financing at Sharia Banks. This research method used multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 16.00 software which is used to see the influence between the independent variables in the form of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) and Total Assets (TA) to Non Performing Financing. The sample of this study was 3 Islamic Commercial Banks, so there were 36 annual reports obtained through purposive sampling, then analyzed using multiple linear regression methods. The results showed that based on the F Test, the independent variable had an effect on the NPF, indicated by the F value of 17,016 and significance of 0,000, overall the independent variable was able to explain the effect of 69.60%. While based on the partial t test, showed that CAR has a significant negative effect, Total assets have a significant positive effect with a significance value below 0.05 (5%). Meanwhile FDR does not affect NPF.

This study aims to determine the effect of Inflation, Exchange Rate and Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) to Return of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia Stock Fund period 2014-2017. The study used secondary data obtained through documentation in the form of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia Monthly Net Asset (NAB) report. Data analysis is used with quantitative analysis, multiple linear regression analysis using eviews 9. Population and sample in this research are PT Nikko Securities Indonesia. The result of multiple linear regression analysis was the coefficient of determination (R2) showed the result of 0.123819 or 12%. This means that the Inflation, Exchange Rate and Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) variables can influence the return of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia's equity fund of 12% and 88% is influenced by other variables. Based on the result of the research, the variables of inflation and exchange rate have a negative and significant effect toward the return of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia's equity fund. While the variable of Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) has a negative but not significant effect toward Return of Equity Fund of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia
