Marketing management is one of the practical-oriented subjects in management education, which is very dynamic. In this changing and newly emerging business and marketing ecosystem, the challenge of marketing teaching pedagogy is increasing day by day. In marketing management teaching pedagogical research, there is a scarcity of integrated blended framework consisting of teaching technology and augmented learning exposure in supporting classroom teaching methodology. The study attempts to identify how various factors like theoretical knowledge, practical orientation, teaching technology and augmented learning can impact marketing management education’s learning outcome in the Indian context. Current research has also tried developing and examining a structured framework that may strengthen the classroom teaching environment. This article is based on empirical data of 693 marketing and sales professionals who are mostly alumni from topmost Indian B-schools. Exploratory factor analyses and structural equation modelling, and path analysis are being done to test the conceptual research model. The results of this article demonstrate how contemporary integrated classroom teaching can boost the marketing management learning outcomes with a proper blend of augmented learning exposure, out-of-class exercises and teaching technology in an Indianized way.

Educational video games (EVGs) are becoming a trending topic in education as a new teaching methodology which can help teachers to increase students’ attention and engagement during the learning process. Nevertheless, despite an increasing academic interest in EVGs little research has been devoted to delve into teacher’s beliefs affecting their attitude towards EVGs and how these beliefs also affect their intention to use EVGs in their courses. Using Keller’s ARCS model as a theoretical framework, the role of perceived relevance and attention in teachers’ attitude and intention to use EVGs is analyzed. To do so a research model is tested using a sample of 312 Higher Education teachers via structural equation modeling to predict teachers’ attitude and behavioral intention to use EVGs in their courses. Results suggest that perceived attention drawn by EVGs is a factor affecting teachers’ intentions to use EVGs in their courses. Perceived relevance was not found to affect directly neither attitude nor intention to use while teachers’ perceived attention was found to affect teachers’ perceived relevance of EVGs. Limitations of the study, implications for managers, and future research lines are addressed at the end of the paper.

Marketing management is a process of management.  Marketing is various theoretical approaches were developed based on the empirical facts in order to arising a concept regarding the reference of action at practical level or operational and managerial level. The series of management activities, marketing management could be seen as company’s effort in dealing with more competitive global competition. Those efforts were conducted by the companies in dealing with competition through the application of marketing strategy, combined with competitive advantage strategy, as well as batik industry at Surakarta, Central Java. The growth of batik industry which is getting tighter in the middle of the various type of batik of the world, batik Indonesia has not yet losing its characteristics. Even batik of Central Java which is consider to have the richest design is still possessing its soul/spirit. Nevertheless, as neighboring countries are rapidly promoting their batik’s products through various continents, batik of Indonesia seemed made no further progress (stay still). Batik which is wear as daily clothing recently is indeed print out with batik’s motif/design. There is indeed an enlightening development in a matter of batik’s consumption nowadays. If batik was only used for certain events, today, its region of utilization has became more broaden. Batik is also often modified with other motif / design for daily clothing. Along with the times, batik is also squirming. Its fabrics is presenting with its latest design. From the result of the test toward the model within this research, using estimation of Maximum Likelihood Estimation (ML), analysis of Structural Equation Model (SEM), and the assistance of Amos 6 software toward 200 respondents of batik entrepreneurs at Surakarta, it is able to provide the explanation regarding the influence of marketing diffusion and marketing orientation toward competitive advantage in developing/increasing market performance at batik’s companies at Surakarta.Within this research, the result obtained from marketing strategy (Products, Price, Promotion, and Distribution), and Marketing Orientation, providing positive influence toward Competitive advantage with the value of first Determination Coefficients (R2) is equal to 0,841, it shows that by using marketing strategy and maximum marketing orientation, it could increase company’s competitive advantage of batik’s companies at Surakarta as much as 84,1%, the value of second Determination Coefficient (R2) is equal to 0,791, which means that by marketing strategy, marketing orientation and high competitive advantage could increase the performance of batik’s company at Surakarta as much as 79,1%.Key words       :           Marketing strategy, Marketing Orientation, Competitive Advantage, Marketing Performance

Purpose There is a substantial body of the literature on the role of destination image in tourist’s future behavior, however, the majority of these studies were conducted in “Sun-and-Sand” destinations, and only a few studies have addressed this research topic in “Historical-and-Cultural” destinations context. The purpose of this paper is to fill this gap by investigating the impact of Egypt’s perceived destination image – as one of the most famous cultural and historical destinations in the global tourism arena – and tourist satisfaction on tourists’ future behavioral intentions. Design/methodology/approach The study adopted a mixed methodology (a combination of survey questionnaire based on a quota sample from 400 tourists, as well as semi-structured interviews with tourists from different nationalities). Data were analyzed using exploratory factor analyses, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. Findings The results related to the impact of the perceived destination image are discussed. Also, some practical implications related to destination management organizations are highlighted. Originality/value The study contributes theoretically and empirically to destination image literature, by improving the understanding of the multi-dimensional nature of destination image and its impact on revisit intention and word-of-mouth recommendation. Also, it helps in guiding Egypt’s destination image management activities to rebuild Egypt’s image as a safe destination for all the world’s travelers.

This study sought to explore the underlying dimension(s) of the criminal attitude construct. Exploratory factor analyses using an oblique rotation method were conducted separately on the subscales of the Criminal Sentiments Scale–Modified among a sample of 381 violent male offenders. These procedures yielded four factors reflecting generic criminal attitudes, specific attitudes about the law, generic rationalizations consistent with criminal subcultures, and criminally oriented self-views (i.e., a criminal self-concept). Confirmatory factor analysis using structural equation modeling found these factors to be relatively robust. Supplemental analyses revealed the factors were linked to criminal conduct outcome criteria. These results are discussed in terms of potential future theory, research, and practice of the criminal attitude construct.

COVID-19 has disrupted educational institutes across the world. Teachers and students are now forced to teach and study online for an unidentified period, which severely hampers the learning capacity as well the student’s intention toward entrepreneurship. This study compared the impact of traditional teaching and teaching through online management simulation games on student learning performance and further leads to entrepreneurial intention. To further understand the desirability of business simulation games, we used the technology acceptance model (TAM) and extended it by employing knowledge sharing, knowledge application, learnability, perceived pleasure, and self-efficacy as exogenous variables. For this purpose, time-lagged data were collected from 277 students enrolled in entrepreneurship courses in public sector universities. To deal with homogeneity and generalizability issues, students from different collaborative universities were asked to participate in the study. Structural equation modeling was employed for analysis, where the results depict that the students learning performance was enhanced after using simulation games compared to regular theoretical online lectures, which further encouraged them to be entrepreneurs. We also concluded that simulation games are novel and effective online teaching methodology for students during a time of crisis. The study concludes with its theoretical, practical implications, and directions for future researchers.

<p>The development of constructivist learning theory has greatly influenced the design and delivery of the Information Literacy instructional programmes. Student-centred teaching methodology has been widely adopted in the IL instruction, however, the challenges library presenters face while practicing interactive teaching methods in their classes still require further investigation. This study aims to respond to the need for a deeper understanding of IL instruction from a teachers' perspective and provide an insight into currently applied interactive practices in IL classroom teaching, as well as associated challenges and effective solutions. An explanatory, sequential mixed methods research design has been applied to further investigate the quantitative information collected in the first phase of the project (an online survey emailed to 55 Subject Librarians at the University of Auckland (UoA)) followed by the second phase of qualitative, in-depth data gathering conducted in the form of nine individual 45 minutes long semi-structured interviews with Subject Librarians at the University of Auckland. The findings confirm the themes already discussed in the library literature, but also reveal new and unexpected elements of IL classroom instruction offered at the tertiary level in New Zealand region. Eleven original interactive classroom activities successfully employed in IL classroom teaching by Subject Librarians at the UoA are also identified during this research project and presented in the report. Suggestions are made for further research.</p>

The article discusses the use of nonparametric measures of influence in pedagogical research. The Wilcoxon criterion for comparing indicators obtained as a result of measurements in a connected sample is highlighted. The necessary conditions for the application of the criterion, as well as the advantages of its use are indicated. The possibility of using the Wilcoxon criterion is illustrated by the example of determining the effectiveness of the proposed teaching methodology using the Uchi.ru online platform in educational activities. Most modern studies in the field of pedagogy and psychology, along with qualitative descriptions of the results of the research, actively use quantitative analysis. Last analysis includes processing of the data using methods of mathematical statistics. In order to show the effectiveness of the developed methodology for the learning process, it should be considered as a factor influencing changes in the studied trait. Further study of these changes allows the researcher to determine the statistical reliability (significance) of the influence of the factor under consideration. The subsequent analysis of the reliability of the influence of a particular factor, the comparison of the measure of influence of various factors is carried out using parametric (variance analysis) and nonparametric measures of influence (the sign criterion, the Wilcoxon criterion). This article discusses the use of nonparametric measures of influence in pedagogical research. The Wilcoxon criterion is selected for comparing the indicators obtained as a result of measurement in a connected sample and allowing to diagnose not only the direction of changes, but also their severity. The necessary conditions for the application of the criterion, as well as the advantages of its use, are indicated. The possibility of using the Wilcoxon criterion is illustrated by the example of determining the effectiveness of the proposed teaching methodology using the Uchi.ru online platform in educational activities. Conclusions are made about its inefficiency for mastering the material in mathematics for younger schoolchildren.
