AbstractIn this paper, we consider a wireless powered cognitive relaying system with a secondary relay (SR) capable of harvesting wireless energy. Along with an access point (AP) continuously transmitting the primary data to a primary user (PU), a secondary source (SS) can transmit the secondary data to a secondary destination (SD) with the help of SR using the decode-and-forward (DF) protocol. SR can harvest energy from both SS and AP in both time and power domains using time-splitting and power-splitting techniques. The interference from primary data transmissions can help boost the amount of harvested energy at SR. The transmit power of SS is regulated by the interference threshold at PU and the allowable peak power. Despite the above two constraints, the transmit power of SR is further constrained by the amount of harvested energy. Once SR successfully decodes the data from SS, it will forward the data to SD using a constrained power. We analyze the approximate outage probabilities for both primary and secondary systems. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of our theoretical analysis and reveal the impacts of various parameters to the outage performance.

This study attempted to explore the process of word formation and its social function of slang words on Rich Brian's official music video, precisely in the comment section of the newest song of him, D.O.A that released on 25 August 2020. This study employed discourse and sociolinguistics aspects; hence, this study's research design was a descriptive qualitative. Additionally, this study's object was a one-month comment section of Rich Brian's newest song official music video. Furthermore, there were two sources of data, primary and secondary data sources. The primary data were a comment section of Rich Brian's newest official song music video, while the secondary source was from available works of literature and urban dictionary. Therefore, to collect the data, this study did the documentation from the D.O.A. official music video from one-month duration comments. As the data obtained, there were 49 slang words found. Then, they were analyzed through Yule (2010)�s theory as the basis of word formation process standard, while Zhou & Fan (2013)�s theory was used as the basis of word formation function standard. Data analysis is divided into several steps: reading, collecting, classifying, and analyzing the data. The result showed that derivation was the highest frequency of the word-formation process. It was 22%, the acronym was 18%, coinage was 16%, the conversion was 14%, blending was 12%, compounding was 8%, clipping was 6%, borrowing and multiple processes were 2% of each. Besides, the highest social function was to express emotive feeling with 49 % quantity of the frequency. The second higher was to pursue self-identity, achieving politeness was 8%. This study suggested a more in-depth analysis of non-standard languages, such as swear words or taboo words and emoticon that can be done through a social semiotic approach.

In this paper, we propose and evaluate performance of multihop multipath underlay cognitive radio networks. In a primary network, an uplink nonorthogonal multiple access method is employed to allow primary transmitters to simultaneously transmit their data to a primary receiver. Using an underlay spectrum-sharing method, secondary source and secondary relays must adjust their transmit power to guarantee quality of service of the primary network. Under the limited transmit power, cochannel interference from the primary transmitters, and hardware noises caused by impairments, we propose best-path selection methods to improve the end-to-end performance for the secondary network. Moreover, both multihop decode-and-forward and amplify-and-forward relaying protocols are considered in this paper. We derive expressions of outage probability for the primary and secondary networks and propose an efficient method to calculate the transmit power of the secondary transmitters. Then, computer simulations employing the Monte-Carlo approach are realized to validate the derivations.

In this paper, we investigate the outage performance of simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) based Decode-and-Forward (DF) relay networks, where the relay needs to simultaneously forward information for two relaying links, primary relaying link and parasitic relaying link. The primary relaying link is the traditional source-relay-destination relay system. While in the parasitic relaying link, the parasitic source, i.e., Internet-of-Things (IoT) tag, is not connected to the stable power source and thus has to backscatter the signals from the primary source to convey its information. The relay not only harvests energy from Radio Frequency (RF) signals from both sources but also forwards messages to their corresponding destinations. The primary source and destination are unaware of the parasitic backscatter transmission, but the relay and parasitic destination can employ successive interference cancellation (SIC) detector to eliminate the interference from the primary link and detect the message from the parasitic source. In order to investigate the interplay between the primary and parasitic relaying links, the outage probabilities of both relaying links are derived. Besides, the effects of system parameters, i.e., power splitting coefficient, forwarding power allocation coefficient and backscatter reflection coefficient, on the system performance are discussed. Simulation results verify our theoretical analysis. In the meanwhile, it is revealed that the advised relaying system has far larger sum throughput than the one with only primary relaying link and the parasitic relaying link can gain considerable throughput at the cost of negligible degradation of primary throughput.

Thus social networking site become the tool of connect people for common purpose. The people of today’s world vastly use SNS in their daily life. Libraries have improved their collection and services in electronic form with rapid growth of ICT. SNS helps the library to work as a user friendly center. This paper describes the different use of SNS by LIS Research scholar, their purposes and effectiveness of SNS forenhancing library services. Methodology: The primary data for this study has been collected through questionnaire, interview and observation method from LIS Research scholar of Gauhati University. The secondary data has been imported from the research article, paper published in different journal, conference proceedings and from books and Wikipedia. Findings: Social Networking sites can be used as an effective way for access information and knowledge for their research and academic purpose. It will be helpful for library professional to provide different kinds of information with least time.

This study aimed to explore the marketing channel, marketing cost and marketing margin and problems associated with fish marketing in order to provide recommendations for efficient fish marketing system in Barisal city, southern Bangladesh. Data were collected from seven fish markets of Barisal, southern Bangladesh including Port road fish market, Taltoli bazar fish market, Chaumatha fish market, Notullabad bus stand fish market, Kasipur bazar fish market and Bazar road fish market. Both primary and secondary data were used during 1 year study period from May, 2011 to April, 2012. Primary data were collected through field surveys and pre-structured questionnaire was used for interviewing of 10 organizers, 20 aratdars (commission agent), 50 fish traders and 100 consumers. Secondary source of information consists of published materials such as journals, textbooks, newspapers and also from interviewing different government and non-government officials and members of various fisheries related cooperative societies. The results of this study revealed 11 fish marketing channels in Barisal city’s fish marketing system. The average marketing cost ranged from 4.15% to 8.33% (6.76±0.98) % of the final retail price. The highest and lowest average fish price were recorded as USD 7.07/kg and USD 1.03/kg for giant fresh water prawn and silver carp, correspondingly. Intermediaries’ marketing margin on different species’ marketing fluctuated from 29.6% to 50.28% (39.38±5.22) % for silver carp and brown shrimp marketing, respectively. Establishment of modern fish landing center and retail markets near the fish landing port, introduction of government fish shops and  insulated and refrigerated fish vans and fish carriers, training of all personnel related to fish marketing about fish handling, quality of fish, hygiene practices, improvement of existing fish market structure, provision for government and private funding assistance for fishers/fish farmer, formulation and enactment of independent act/ordinance for fish landing and marketing are highly recommended. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3126/on.v12i1.12254Our Nature (2014), 12(1): 28-36

Human resource is the heart of every organization because every other resources depend on the human resources for effective utilization. For the human resource to perform its activities effectively, there must be some level of motivation given to the workers. This paper examines motivation as a way of improving workers’ performance in Bayelsa State Polytechnic, Aleibiri. In this work, the meaning of motivation was conceptualized, its impacts on workers’ performance, factors that motivate workers, causes of poor workers performance among others are extensively discussed. To achieve the objective of the paper, primary and secondary data were used. The survey research design method was used to obtain the primary data. That is, questionnaire was designed and administered to the respondents. The simple random sampling technique was adopted to ensure that every member of the population is giving equal chance to be included for the study. Data collected from the field was analyzed witharithmetic. The secondary source of data includes textbooks and journal articles. The result from the findings revealed that non-implementation of staff promotion, inadequate staff training, unconducive working environment among others contribute to low workers’ performance. Furthermore, the study also revealed that, implementation of staff promotion, study leave with full pay, payment of promotion arrears, staff training motivate and enhance worker performance.Arising from the findings, the study recommend that government should implement staff promotion and as well pay all outstanding promotion arrears to workers. Also, staff should be granted study leave with full pay and regular staff training programme should be organized to help workers acquire new skills to enhance their job performance.

This article aims to examine food security issue among the community at the Indonesia - Malaysia border at Pandemic COVID-19 era by using the theory of interdependence and the human security approach. The study is conducted using a qualitative research method to collect and analyze both primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through official documents and an in-depth interview with key informants among Indonesia households of the communities in Indonesia - Malaysia border and local leaders. Meanwhile, published materials and online documents such as books, journal articles and reports served as a secondary source of data. The findings indicate that pandemics COVID-19 create vulnerability to food insecurity at border community. Realizing this fact, the government should consider adopting the human security concept, which emphasizes community empowerment as a framework in policymaking, with the aims to eradicate food insecurity among vulnerable households and to ensure the well-being of every Indonesian.

 Objective: To assess the corporate social responsibility practices in Nepalese commercial banking sector. Methods and Materials: Primary and secondary sources of data were used in the study. The primary data were collected through direct questionnaire method from 60 employees of sampled commercial banks. The secondary source was through journals, textbooks and annual reports of Nepal Rastra Bank. SPSS and Microsoft excel were used to analyze the collected data. The value of Cronbach’s Alpha (α) of overall questionnaire is 0.92, which suggests the reliability of primary data. Descriptive and explorative research designs were used to analyze the primary and secondary data. Results and Conclusion: Responses from all the respondents of commercial banks regarding CSR and Non-Financial Performance clearly imply that CSR has an influence on the Non-Financial Performance. In terms of ‘R2’, CSR impacts both Brand Image and Brand Awareness (i.e. 0.987). This clearly indicates that more than 98.7% variance of both non-financial performances has been explained by CSR. In terms of ‘R2’, CSR impacts less in financial performance (i.e. 0.149). This clearly indicates that only than 14.9% variance of financial performance has been explained by CSR.

This study aims to know and explain about the concept of Zakat on Profession based on theory of Prof. DR. K.H. Didin Hafidhuddin, M. Sc to the wider community for reviewing the issues of zakat on professions that have not been discussed in depth and thoroughly. There is still a difference opinion among Ulama about zakat profession. This study aims: 1) Explain the concept of professional zakat according to Prof. DR. K.H. Didin Hafidhuddin, M. Sc.  2) Describing Istinbath or taking a professional profession zakat in the view of Prof. DR. K.H. Didin Hafidhuddin, M. Sc. This study was conducted from December 2017 to April 2018. This study used primary and secondary sources. Primary data is primary data is through direct interview with resource person of Prof. DR. K.H. Didin Hafidhuddin, M. Sc. and data which is his work that has been written and researched, especially related to zakat profession, while the secondary source is through books, research results in the form of reports, articles, magazines, journals published by institutions etc. The secondary data sources in this study include writing materials related to professional zakat issues. Didin Hafidhuddin is an ulama ', intellectuals, and experts in the field of zakat, he argues that zakat profession is zakat taken from the results of any expertise and any work that is lawful, whether done alone or related to other parties, such as employees, who have attained nishab, shall be obliged to paid zakat.
