The requirements of the federal state educational standard of primary general education to the content, technologies and methods of the educational process in primary grades are disclosed. Special attention is paid to the characteristics of the system-activity approach, the technologies of primary education (problem-based learning, developmental learning, activity technology, project method, blended learning, etc.) are highlighted. The methods of teaching all the main academic subjects are presented in detail and concretely. Meets the requirements of the federal state educational standards of higher education of the latest generation. The article considers different approaches to the formation of orthographical correctness of younger schoolchildren. The conditions of effective development of correct writing by younger schoolchildren and its transformation into orthographical correctness are analyzed. In terms of realization of the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Primary Education the author proposed the working practices that allow the educator to achieve the high level of orthographical correctness of the primary school students in the process of systematic studying of Russian language.

Introduction. Today, reading is one of the language activities that consists not only of transforming letters into sounds. It is one of the meta-subject skills, which affect learning success. One of the priority objectives set in the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education is to create the necessary level of reading competence in junior students. Consequently, the level of reading competence in students, i.e., future primary school teachers, should be high. The study aims to identify the level of reading competence in first-year students of the specialty ‘Pedagogical education’ (44.03.01) majoring in Primary education. The objectives of the research are to carry out a theoretical analysis of the reading competence issue, identify criteria for reading competence formation in first-year students, identify their levels of reading competence, and propose tasks to develop reading competence in first-year students. Materials and methods. The paper is devoted to the analysis of reading competence in the first-year students majoring in Primary Education. The paper presents the results of the tasks completed by first-year students. Students’ results were analyzed according to the criteria of efficiency, flexibility, maturity, and activity. Results of the study. The analysis has indicated that, in general, reading competence in the students is at the average level. According to the criteria of ‘efficiency’ (a high level of understanding the information read), ‘flexibility’ (the ability to change reading strategies), and ‘maturity’ (the ability to switch from one form of information presentation to another), the students are mainly at a medium and low level. In our opinion, this is because many students do not have a well-developed ability to carefully read information, and identify the essentials. According to the criterion ‘activity’ (the ability to use the information obtained from reading), more than half of the first-year students showed a low level, which indicates that they are not able to analyze and express their thoughts on what they read. Based on monitoring of reading competence in the first-year students of specialty Pedagogical Education (44.03.01) majoring in Primary Education, we have developed and proposed tasks aimed at building reading competence. These, in particular, include keeping a literary dictionary; keeping a reader’s diary; analyzing literary works for children; self-analyzing of reading the literary works for children, with their systematization by the time of writing, themes, genres; a compilation of chronological tables on the development of children’s literature in Russia, and others. Conclusion. The paper proposes constant monitoring of reading competence, which will provide an objective picture of reading competence in students and the identification of factors affecting the quality of reading skills. The following paper considers development of professional competencies of students, majoring in Pedagogical education (Primary education and Foreign Language). The authors analyze legal regulations to teacher training and correlate demands to the teacher that are enumerated in federal state educational standard of general secondary education, in federal state educational standard of higher education and in the professional standard Teacher. The paper also contains Primary Education Department experience of professional competencies development. Based on the example of Professional Competence 4 development the authors introduce its components characteristics as well as diagnostic methods of this professional competence development. The authors note that it is necessary to develop special professional competencies of students, majoring in Pedagogical education (Primary education and Foreign Language). Based on the example of Special Professional Competence (Foreign Language) 2 the authors introduce its components characteristics. The paper also contains problems that Primary Education Department and Foreign Languages Department face while developing professional competencies of students, majoring in Pedagogical education (Primary education and Foreign Language).

Статья посвящена проблеме патриотического воспитания младших школьников, основой которого выступает сформированность у них ценностно-смысловой компетенции, что исходит из ФГОС общего начального образования. Особое внимание уделено особенностям взаимодействия школы, родителей, самого младшеклассника и его социального окружения в современных социокультурных условиях. На основе анализа теории и практики начальной школы определена сопряженность двух педагогических феноменов (патриотического воспитания и сформированности ценностно-смысловой компетенции) применительно к детям младшего школьного возраста, что позволяет рассматривать их в едином проблемном поле.The article is devoted to the problem of patriotic education of younger schoolchildren, the basis of which is the process of formation of value-semantic competence in them, which proceeds from the Federal State Educational Standard of General Primary Education; pays particular attention to interaction of the school, parents, primary schoolchildren and their social environment in modern sociocultural conditions; basing on the analysis of the theory and real practice of primary school, determines the conjugation of two pedagogical phenomena: patriotic education and the formation of value-semantic competence in relation to younger schoolchildren, which allows us to consider them in a single problem field.
