Lichen planus is one of the most common diseases of the oral mucosa, which is characterized by a chronic course, clinical polymorphism, resistant to treatment, the possibility of malignancy. For treatment of the red lichen planus, the modern medicines are used: neurotropic, corticosteroids, aminoquinolinic preparations, antibiotics, retinoids, drugs, vitamins that have impact on different stages of pathogenesis. However, the prescription of these drugs is often inefficient, and is associated with the development of complications and the development of resistance to the therapy. The phenomena of toxic and allergic reactions in the use of drugs are frequent. Improvement of non-drug methods of treatment of the red lichen planus in mucous membranes of the mouth is an urgent task. Combined methods of physiotherapy are one way of treatment. Combined physiotherapy is physiotherapy, based on simultaneously (coinfection) use of two or more physical factors on the same area of the body. These factors were selected with the aim of increasing their physical activity and therapeutic effectiveness. One of the variants of combined physical therapy of diseases of the oral mucosa is the use of a device for the treatment of dental diseases «Radadent», in which there are two types of physical factors: the extremely high frequency electromagnetic and ultraviolet radiation. In the clinic of the Department of stomatology the apparatus «Radadent» was used in the complex treatment of 12 patients with erosive and ulcerative forms of red lichen planus. The reduction or elimination of inflammatory processes of the mucous membrane and the regeneration of tissues trophism of the mouth, elimination of pain, cell regeneration, the acceleration of healing of ulcers and ero-sions were identified.

Relevance: red lichen planus refers to a long, protracted disease with a chronic course. There are a lot of root causes, it is quite difficult to differentiate them. Therefore, pharmacotherapy of this pathology is reduced to the appointment of local drugs that have only symptomatic effects that help accelerate the healing of the oral mucosa.Purpose – to study reparative regeneration based on the analysis of clinical and cytological examination on the background of the appointment of various methods of pharmacotherapy.Materials and methods: all patients were divided into two groups using simple randomization: in patients of the first group, betamethasone B was used to treat erosive-ulcerative lesions, which were delivered to the lesion using Tisol, which has conductive transcutaneous activity, using the sandwich technique. The second group of patients used the drug delivery system in the form of a film, which fixed betamethasone B in the lesion area. Results: were evaluated before treatment, on day 7 and 14. The area and intensity of healing of the oral mucosa were determined, a qualitative and quantitative analysis of cytograms was carried out, which characterizes the dynamics of reparative regeneration of erosions and ulcers. Conclusion: based on the obtained clinical and laboratory data, it can be concluded that it is advisable to include betamethasone applications in the pharmacotherapy of patients with erosive and ulcerative forms of lichen planus. However, preference should be given to the method of layer-by-layer application of betamethasone B in combination with Tezol.

A special place in the structure of dental morbidity is occupied by the pathology of the periodontal complex, in particular, chronic generalized periodontitis, which, according to the WHO, is in second place in terms of prevalence among all dental diseases, second only to caries. The first signs of periodontal inflammation begin to appear already in the young years, and by the old age the prevalence of periodontal diseases reaches values tending to 100%. Solving the problem of timely diagnosis, prevention and treatment of periodontal pathology is still the most urgent task of modern dentistry. Generalized periodontitis is not only a source of chronic infection and a source of sensitization of the body, but also a leading cause of tooth loss (especially in older age groups), leading to serious destructive consequences that disorganize the dental apparatus. This fact can seriously affect the quality of life, making periodontal problems not only medical, but also social. Despite the obvious relevance of this issue, as well as the great interest in scientific research in the field of periodontology, it is worth recognizing that the level of dental health, as well as the provision of periodontal care, including the elderly population, is far from ideal. This is largely due to the complexity of the etiology and pathogenesis of periodontal diseases, as well as, often, the lack of a comprehensive understanding of this pathology during its therapy

In the research for the highly efficient, wide spectrum, safe drugs, dental practitioners in recent years have been increasingly paying attention to complex bioregulatory drugs (CBDs). They affect the body in small doses, initiate, activate and regulate defense mechanisms, restore the processes of self-regulation and detoxification, all without suppressing immunity. Aim of the research was to analyze the scientific literature on the effectiveness of the bioregulatory drugs in the treatment of dental diseases. Materials and methods. The bibliosemantic and analytical methods were used in our research. Results. The use of CBDs in the treatment of periodontal diseases was the most researched. In the treatment of chronic generalized periodontitis of mild and moderate severity, along with the conventional methods (removal of dental deposits, curettage of periodontal pockets with subsequent polishing of the root’s surface), the Traumeel S ointment was applied to the vestibular and oral surfaces of the marginal gums of patients with mild degree of disease. Traumeel S in pills had been prescribed for patients with chronic generalized periodontitis of moderate severity, along with ointment applications. The course of treatment was 14 days. Clinical examination of patients during the course of treatment revealed that the drug Traumeel S contributed to the reduction of edema and bleeding in the gums. This was confirmed by a significant decrease in all periodontal and hygienic indices. Laboratory study of mixed saliva of patients found a significant reduction in the content of superoxide dismutase twice over. All this led to the conclusion that the Traumeel S exhibited pronounced anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Thus, its use is justified in the supplementary treatment of chronic generalized periodontitis. Practical interest, in our view, lies in a comprehensive approach to the treatment of generalized periodontitis, depending on the age of patients and the severity of the disease. For all participants in the study group, the following CBDs were added to traditional periodontitis treatment: Traumeel S, Lymphomyosot and Echinacea compositum. Traumeel S ointment was issued in the form of applications; Lymphomyosot was administered by 10 drops three times a day for 3 weeks, and Echinacea compositum − intramuscularly. Patients with severe periodontitis were injected with Traumeel S under the mucous membrane of the gum. Effectiveness of the treatment was monitored by clinical and radiological examination. The authors of the method concluded that the use of CBDs relieved inflammatory processes in the short term, suspended dystrophic and destructive processes, and promoted long-term stabilization of the disease (up to 2 years). It should also be noted that the use of CBDs did not cause any side effects. In the treatment of the treatment of various forms of lichen planus (except atypical), drug Mucosa compositum was used via an injection under the lesions. In patients with an atypical form, it was administered as infiltration anesthesia to the transitional folds on the upper or lower jaw, depending on the localization and prevalence of the process. Regardless of lichen planus form, the subjective sensations in patients disappeared after 4-5 injections. In patients with atypical form either the complete disappearance of signs of the disease or its transformation into a typical form with the appearance of papules on an unchanged background were observed. The exudative hyperemic form after 8 injections had transformed into a typical form. In the erosive-ulcerative form, a decrease in the size of erosion was observed after 6-8 injections, and epithelialization, disappearance of hyperemia, transformation into a typical form − after 10-12 injections. During the observation period of 5-8 months, there were no symptoms of exacerbation in the patients. In addition, no adverse effects were reported in any of the patients examined using Mucosa compositum. A noteworthy study was carried out by the dental surgeons to substantiate the use of CBDs in maxillofacial surgery, especially in such difficult conditions as phlegmon of different etiology and localization. Comprehensive treatment of all patients included conventional surgery and traditional drug therapy. Therapy of patients in the main group was supplemented with the introduction of the drug Lymphomyosot intravenously; antibiotic therapy was not used. Therapy of patients in the comparison group was supplemented by intravenous administration of the drug Traumeel S. Antibiotic therapy was not used. Analysis of clinical and laboratory parameters, and of patients’ immunograms reliably showed that the use of these drugs provides a more positive course of the wound process and a more pronounced reduction in total intoxication, which leads to a shorter treatment time compared with the traditional therapy. Based on the analysis of available literature, we concluded that it is advisable to improve approaches to the treatment of major dental diseases by introducing complex bioregulatory drugs. The question of modern application of the CBDs in dentistry remains relevant and requires further study.

Chemicals used in the manufacture of synthetic fibers have been associated with undesirable side effects such as itching or skin lesions and it seems that they are involved in the induction of pathological processes such as oxidative stress and inflammation. Lichen planus (LP) can be regarded as an inflammatory disorder, chemical and physical factors playing an important role in the perpetuation of the inflammatory process. Gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) plays an important role in the preservation of skin architecture and modulation of skin inflammation. In this study, we found that GGT activity is increased in LP patients with mild inflammation, whilst GGT is inactivated under conditions of severe inflammation. Therefore, GGT is involved in the inflammatory process, but there is no a positive correlation between its activity and the intensity of the inflammatory response. This functional adaptation of the enzyme may be due to down-regulation of its synthesis under free radical overload conditions. Understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in the modulation of intracellular redox homeostasis is an important step in the pharmacological management of patients with LP.

: Fluoro-edenite (FE) is an asbestos-like amphibole present in the bentonitic lavas extracted from a stone quarry in Biancavilla, a village sited in the Etnean Volcanic Area (Italy). : Thoracic pathologies are the results of excessive inflammatory processes that are the early response of the immune system to inhaled fibers. As demonstrated for asbestos, fibers may trigger immune system cells in an acute and/or chronic manner. This review aims to clarify the pathways of inflammation in workers exposed to FE fibers. : Based on the articles reviewed, it seems that a permanent stimulus created by repeatedly inhaling the FE fibers and their persistence in the body can act as trigger both in promoting inflammatory processes and in immunological induction of autoimmune disease.

Rasashastra deals with the Rasa Aushadhis, the drugs of metallic and mineral origin. Mercury is used in most of the Rasaaushadhis. The toxicity of Mineral and metallic preparations are reduced to such an extent by various procedures of Shodhana, Marana etc. that Mercury converts its inherent property of toxicity into medicinal property. Rasa Aushadhis works quickly on the body because due to their small particle size, their absorption starts from the oral mucosa itself. The action of drugs depends largely upon the Anupana i.e. the vehicle for the drug. Rasacharayas have mentioned various Rasa preparations like Bhasmas, Parpati, Pottali, Manduras, Karpooras etc. along with their doses, dose schedule and Anupana / Sahapana etc. The principles of Rasaaushadhis when correlated in modern era are found to be scientifically accurate. We may say that Rasacharyas had already mastered the science of nanotechnology, purification, action of metabolic catalysts, biotransformation and preservation of medicines. The Ayurvedic drugs can be harmful for our body when not administered in proper dosage as per mentioned in classic literatures.

Creating and maintaining a microclimate in animal housing is an energy-intensive technological process that consumes up to 70 percent of the thermal energy consumed on cattle farms. Improving heating and ventilation systems aimed at reducing energy consumption is an urgent task. (Research purpose) The research purpose is to analyze the theoretical models for calculating air curtains and evaluate the possibility of their use for agricultural production facilities and to identify promising directions in the design solutions for thermal air curtains aimed at rural consumers. (Materials and methods) The article considers the theoretical justification and calculation of air curtains. The authors studied the physical model of interaction of air jets in openings, which serves as the basis for mathematical calculation of air curtains in engineering practice. The article describes the features of using the models for calculating air curtains for agricultural objects and the energy parameters of the curtains depending on the design characteristics and external environmental factors. (Results and discussion) The effect of the air curtain on the energy characteristics of the room has been studied. It was found that it is necessary to determine the type of air curtain that is optimally suitable for protecting the gate opening, with or without heating the air curtain. Authors have found that the engineering methods of calculation are based on different experimental data, which leads to a discrepancy in the results of evaluating the effectiveness of the designed curtain, overestimating its energy intensity and power. The calculation of heat curtains, operating modes should be carried out taking into account the variable effects of external physical factors, the equipment should correspond to a specific room. (Conclusions) The use of air curtains reduces or eliminates the penetration of external cold air into the room through the openings of external gates, requires a smaller volume of air supplied by the curtain, compared to the mass of the incoming air flow.

Inflammation is a physiological process involved in the defenses of the body and the repair of tissues. It is acutely activated by infections, trauma, toxins, or allergic reactions. However, if it becomes chronic, inflammation can end up stimulating the development of diseases such as cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, neurological disease, or cancer. Additionally, during aging, inflammation becomes increasingly more chronic. Furthermore, we found that certain foods, such as saturated fats, have pro-inflammatory activity. Taking this into account, in this review we have discussed different diets with possible anti-inflammatory activity, the commonly ingested components of each diet and their active compounds. In addition, we have proposed some dietary guidelines, as well as a list of compounds present in foods with anti-inflammatory activity, outlining how to combine them to achieve optimal anti-inflammatory effects. Therefore, we can conclude that the compounds in our diet with anti-inflammatory activity could help alleviate the inflammatory processes derived from diseases and unhealthy diets, and thereby promote healthy aging.
