In this study was to determination of the relationship between situational motivation (SIM), self-talk (ST) and attitude towards physical education (PE) lesson and students' other perceptions (liking level of PE-SEV, the level of importance given to the PE by the student-KVO and the level of perception of the importance given to PE by the family-AVO). Furthermore, it has been done the comparisons in terms of age and gender. A total of 698 secondary school students aged between 11-14 in the study. In the findings, girls obtained higher means for all sub scales of SIM and attitude, while boys obtained higher score for worry dimension only of ST. Girls obtained higher scores for SEV and KVO, whereas boys obtained higher means for AVO. When the age increased, SEV, KVO, AVO, instrinsic motivation-IM, identification regulation-IR and attitude decreased but somatic fatique factor of negative ST increased. SEV, KVO and AVO were positive correlated with the positive dimesions whereas negative correlated with the negative dimensions. IM and IR dimensions were found positive correlated with positive ST dimensions and attitude; but extrinsic motivation and amotivation dimensions were found negative correlated with attitude and, positive correlated with negative ST dimensions.

The objectives of the study were: (i) to study the learning strategies of Secondary school students, (ii) to study gender differences in the learning strategies of secondary school students (iii) to study the relationship between learning strategies and academic achievement of secondary school students.1200 secondary school students of Punjab were administered Motivational Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (Pintrich et al, 1991) The results show that significant differences have not been found between high and low achievers as well as between male and female school students on the rehearsal, elaboration, organization, critical thinking and meta-cognitive of self-regulation of learning strategies. Even the interaction effect of gender and academic achievement was not found significant on these dimensions except the last one i.e. meta-cognitive self-regulation dimension.

During the survey conducted with secondary school students, it was observed that there was a connection between children's internet usage habits and their views on cyber violence. On the other hand, many children do not have full awareness of cyber violence due to their inability to make a clear distinction between cyber violence and daily behaviors (jokes, discussions). Furthermore, in line with the results of the survey analysis, it should be noted that the data obtained also varies according to the age and gender characteristics of the study group. The conducted field work is beyond our intended has been useful in determining the detection of cyber violence awareness, as it provides information about their reactions to cyber violence, except that whether children have information about what cyber violence is.

This study aimed to identify the relationship between family conflict and the level of bullying behaviour among male students in secondary school since bullying has become a very critical issue in schools. A survey was conducted in Malaysia that involved 480 male students, who were purposely selected through the Level Bullying Behaviour (TTLB) questionnaire instrument. The Family Conflict Frequency Questionnaire (KKK) was used to measure the level of student’s family conflict. KKK used the Likert scale which applied a scale of 1-5 to identify the level of family conflict for students. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics i.e., Pearson correlation coefficient test is used to analyse the data that indicated ‘low moderate’ level of bullying behaviour among male students. The study also found that there was a significant relationship between family conflict variables with levels of bullying behaviour among the sample. One of the significant implications of this study is that family conflict factors should be given serious attention and considered in planning intervention programs to curb and prevent the bullying phenomena from escalating into other serious problems in schools. IT is suggested that this study should be expanded to other states in a nationwide study and should include both female and male students in order to understand and grasp the seriousness and extent of bullying problems among secondary school students.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the secondary school students’ level of effectiveparticipation and their motivation. This study employs a survey consisting of 251 secondary school students from theschools located in Iğdır and Erzurum, in East of Turkey. The data of the study were gathered through "EffectiveParticipation Scale" and "Intrinsic-Extrinsic Motivation Scale". The analysis of the obtained data showed that femalesecondary school students are academically more engaged than the male students and male secondary schoolstudents are more disaffected than the female students. It has been found that students engage in English and Turkishlessons more than Mathematics and they are disaffected with Mathematics at most. It has been determined thatacademically engaged students’ intrinsic motivations increase in the positive direction while that of the disaffectedstudents’ decrease as the class levels increase.

The study aims to explore the relationship of study habits with socio-economic status and gender. The research was carried out on a sample of 224 students studying in class IX of Aligarh district. Standardized scales were used to collect the data which in turn was analyzed by applying Mean (M), Standard Deviation (SD), Product moment correlation (r), t-test and ANOVA. Findings revealed that significant difference exists in the study habits of students in relation to gender. Significant and positive relationship exists between study habits and Socio-economic status but interaction effect of gender and SES was not found on study habits. Finally the study puts forth some suggestions to enhance the study habits of secondary school students.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3126/ijssm.v2i1.11815      Int. J. Soc. Sci. Manage. Cognitive dissonance is a theory originally developed by Leon Festinger. He is proposing that dissonance, which is the existence of non fitting relations among cognition, is a motivating factor in its own right. This motivating factor encourages the learner to be more self confident in his actions or conclusions and distinguish between correct and incorrect solutions. This motivation will lead to reach the correct decision about a particular problem. The study aims to find out the relationship between cognitive dissonance and achievement in Mathematics among higher secondary school students. Cognitive dissonance was measured by using Cognitive Dissonance Scale developed by the investigator. The sample consists of 100 higher secondary school students from Malappuram districts. The study reveals that cognitive dissonance and achievement in mathematics is significantly related.

The article is devoted to the problems of false interaction of students in the field of secondary education. The article conducts a scientific analysis of the term «paleointensity».Falseointractions are interactions of a special kind, characterized by the awareness of lies (falsehood, deception) by both Actors and the simultaneous acceptance (or imitation of acceptance) of this lie for the truth. The main purpose of the article is to explain the relationship between truthfulness and falsity of information through falseointeraction among secondary school students and to determine the level of relevance of this problem on the basis of special studies and scientific articles published
