Polemonium coeruleum (Greek valerian) is a very promising plant for study. Despite the data available in the literature concerning the analysis of the main group of compounds of Greek valerian (triterpene saponins), the remaining groups of the metabolome were practically not affected for study. The aim of the study was to study the carbohydrates of grass and rhizomes with Greek valerians roots. The objects of the study were a sample of grass and rhizomes with Greek valerian roots. The content of the sum of polysaccharides and free sugars in terms of glucose was determined in accordance with the corresponding pharmacopoeial articles of the State Pharmacopoeia of the Russian Federation XIV ed. The profile and quantitative content of simple reducing sugars was studied by capillary electrophoresis. This work was the first to study the sum of free polysaccharides and simple sugars in grass and rhizomes with Greek valerian roots in comparison with the use of modern physicochemical methods. It was revealed that the content of the sum of free polysaccharides and the sum of simple sugars in terms of glucose in the aboveground part of Greek valerian is higher than in the underground one. It was shown that the composition of free simple sugars between plant organs is different and is represented by fructose and sucrose.

In this article the analysis of scientific literature was carried out during which considerable interest of scientists to research of essential oil of Heracléum sosnówskyi — the plants widespread in the Russian Federation, and being weed is noticed. We identified the presence of essential oil in the stems, fruits and leaves of Heracléum sosnówskyi, which grows in three districts of the Moscow region. Also, the quantitative analysis of the content of essential oil in the stems from 0.57 to 0.67 %, in the fruits-from 0.98 to 1.38 %, in the leaves-from 0.87 to 0.93 %.

In new medicinal products development, as well as actualisation of assessment approaches of medicinal products in circulation, the development of quality control procedures remains one of the most important issues in standardisation. Besides, such development should include using reliable, accurate and sensitive physicochemical methods which determine the need development and implementation of reference materials. This paper discusses the development of reliable methods for identifying the structure of azithromycin, which will guarantee the purity of the reference material, as well as adequately and unambiguously choose a method of quantitative determination in accordance with the current requirements of regulatory acts, and according to the Pharmacopoeia of the Russian Federation of the XIV Edition.

Currently, the Strategy for the development of the fi shery sector of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 has been approved. To implement this strategy, the construction of new and reconstruction of existing enterprises is planned. Wastewater from fi sh processing contains a large amount of scales, remnants of entrails (liver, intestines, ovaries), proteins and lipids. Therefore, when developing a treatment technology, it is necessary to pay increased att ention to mechanical and physicochemical pre-treatment of effl uents. This article summarizes the experience of foreign and domestic research on mechanical and physical-chemical wastewater treatment. Also presented are the results of studies on wastewater treatment of two fi sh processing enterprises. The use of Al2(SO4)3 at a dose of 50 mg/l for Al2O3 gave the best results in a laboratory experiment.

Hb Lepore, as the result of fusion of the b- and d-globin genes, leads to decreased amount of non-a-globin chains availability for hemoglobin formation. Hb Lepore, up to now, was not identified among Russian patients. We provide clinical and laboratory information on Hb Lepore Boston–Washington in two cases, one of them familial. A small amount of abnormal Hb was detected by capillary electrophoresis, an abnormal globin chain was shown by HPLC, and the final diagnosis of Hb Lepore Boston– Washington was made by molecular biological analysis of globin genes. Peripheral blood for all affected people revealed RBC’s hypochromia microcytosis and normal Hb concentration. The parents of the patients agreed to use the information, including photos of children, in scientific research and publications.

The results of the work to create a complex of high-precision hardware for the unit of length reproduction and transferring carried out at “D. I. Mendeleyev Institute for Metrology (VNIIM)” are represented. This complex will serve as the basis for the further development of the reference base of the Russian Federation in the field of length measurements and will allow reproduction of the unit of length at two wavelengths of 633 nm and 532 nm, as well as measurements of the wavelength of laser sources in vacuum in the range from 500 to 1050 nm.

The article analyzes the current state and level of development of publicprivate partnership (PPP) projects in the subjects of the Russian Federation. The authors conclude that a significant proportion of projects is implemented on a concession basis at the municipal level in the communal sphere. A detailed analysis of the project data showed that the structure of the projects is deformed in favor of the central regions of the Russian Federation, and a significant share in the total amount of financing falls on the transport sector. At the stage of assessing the level of development by the subjects of the Russian Federation, criteria were proposed, and index and integral indicators were used, which ensured comparability of the estimates obtained. At the end of the analysis, the regions were ranked and clustered according to the level of PPP development, which allowed to reveal the number and structure of leaders and outsiders.

The article clarifies the concept of “agricultural holding”, using an approach to assessing the size on the basis of the total revenue of all agricultural organizations within the agricultural holding. It has been revealed that only 100 of the total number of agricultural holdings that were identified can be attributed to large business entities. They comprise about 3% of agricultural organizations in the country, while their share in the proceeds is about 37%. A large share of agricultural holdings — large business subjects under the control of Russian entities operate in one, and under the control of foreign legal entities — in three or more regions of the Russian Federation. Vertical integration within the framework of large agricultural holdings with different schemes for including the stages of processing and sale of products produced in their agricultural organizations allows them to receive advantages. Strengthening the role of large business entities in agriculture puts on the agenda the issue of differentiating approaches to taxation and state support in agriculture, depending on the size of the companies’ agricultural businesses.

The article analyzes the situation with attraction of foreign direct investments (FDI) into the Russian Federation. Sharply increased inflow of international financial resources into national economy has highlighted the problem of definitions, the reasons of this phenomenon and its economic contents. The article considers methodological aspects and economic essence of modern FDI. Special accent is made on the estimation of the situation with their attraction into Russia, FDI structure and effectiveness. The conclusions about basic directions of the increase of their effectiveness in the Russian economy are formulated.
